I've been doing music 50 plus years, started off behind the Mic but spent most of my time as a mixing engineer . This girl is the voice I have been looking for for a very long time her timber is just so thick and gorgeous. Sorry I had to laugh at your eyes almost popped out of your head when you heard the first note come from her mouth, I can't remember where I read the story but when she was going to a prestigious music school in Norway they decided to leave her vocals alone and just work on her playing instruments. To me she is a vocal virtuoso, Perhaps a musical prodigy but most definitely a vocal virtuoso. Thank you for a great reaction,Check out some of the live shows that she did this summer in Norway, especially the song called Mount Everest.

👍👍 Mom has countless of times say in interviews and a couple of talkshows say that Angelina never had or will have a vocal coach cause they didn't want to take a chance on changing Angelina's "uniqueness" of her vocals,, but once or twice mom said she went to that music school for instrument's,, music History and a couple others courses but I don't remember which ones she said,, But she does have really good knowledge on the business side and the Studio control room from a really young age that you can see in some of her videos and she even had her own record label,, 👣

Angelina Jordan is an ORACLE Oracles have existed in human form in every culture around the world. Many are still noted in our time, such as the Oracles at Delphi in Greece, the Chief Oracle of Tibet, and the Oracles of ancient Egypt, but there are countless examples. They are the remnants in our minds of a time in which we all remembered. How else can we explain the hypnotic effect this creature has on all who dare experience her?

Rob should get a 'Shout Out" for being Angelina's mentor, and personal friend, while she is patiently waiting for the green light from either Mom Sara, or republic Records. Norway was a "test run", and she proved beyond a shadow of a doubt that she has the maturity, and passion, to forge ahead with her singing career.

You’ve heard three songs from Angelina. All completely different genres, but each one signature Angelina-paying respect to the original, but 100% Angelina. It’s easy to see how beautifully her voice has continued to develop, but I want to put in a plug for younger Angelina. Don’t bypass her younger performances because she is so great today. She was the best child singer of all time, and she’s now the best singer I’ve ever heard, without any reservation or qualification. But her younger performances stand on their own, displaying the same musicality and originality. Angelina fans don’t have a favorite Angelina song because of what you saw today. You thought she was unbelievably good, but then you got blown away again with a completely different style. She’s been doing that for almost ten years. One song that shows you how extraordinary young Angelina was is her cover of Adele’s A Million Years Ago. And you’ll see another style for Angelina with this acoustic interpretation that will make you forget Adele’s beautiful original. She’s 12 for this one, with just her guitar accompanist and a mic. Absolutely stunning. kzread.info/dash/bejne/g3yA1ryKY9avp6g.html

Having a perfect, beautiful singing voice is one of the most coveted qualities in the world. The ability of the voice is almost like a reflection of the soul. Her pure singing voice touches us and touches our hearts in a way that is unlike anything else. The ability to sing in the right tone and convey the feelings of the music. To push into the rhythm of the song and perform the joy of music to the audience. We can only imagine what level her music will hold in the future if she continues on the same path. She's music ... ❤

The song was written by Mark James. In the Wikipedia entry of the origins of the song, he is said to have remarked "That late one night, he was fooling around on his Fender guitar and using his Hammond organ pedals for a bass line and came up with what he thought was a catchy melody. At the time, he was married to his first wife but still had feelings for his childhood sweetheart, who was married back in Houston. James's wife had suspicions about his feelings. He felt it was a confusing time for him and that all three were "caught in this trap that they could not walk out of." Other singers covering this song invariably base their performance on that of Elvis, in that it is very "upbeat". Angelina took a very different path in that she read and understood the lyrics and what Mark James intended when writing them . To my mind, her rendition is much truer to the emotions of the song. The children appearing in the video were Angelina's cousins Aurora (first) and then Athena - daughters of her uncle Michael Astar, and then her sister Juliette. I would hazard a guess that they were included to emphasise that children are very important to Angelina and her family. Confession! I have never been a great fan of Elvis Presley, although I do like some of his earlier recordings, and I had never heard of the song "Suspicious minds" but knew that Angelina would completely take ownership of it, and she did. It was beautiful. After listening to it several times, I decided to download the lyrics to see whether she kept to the original structure. She didn't, and the song is all the better for it. For me, that she started with the Bridge of the song is very significant and, I feel, very indicative of Angelina's "up front" transparency. She was declaring that it was important that their love did not die, and then carries on to say why she feels as she does. Others first say how they feel and then, almost as an afterthought, assure their love they don't want it to end. For me, it is whether I feel the singer is genuine about the situation and wishes it could be resolved or whether the singer understands the situation but thinks the blame is on her/his partner but feels the need to assure them they don't want it to end (until somebody else comes along).

Angelina is a Master of her craft, she is Rembrandt of vocal splendor...an artist with a pallet of colors creating a painting with her voice, mesmerizing. She did a wonderful tribute to Elvis, from the Pricilla hairdo, the leather Elvis outfit, the Red Elvis 68 comeback tour guitar, and Rob Christie, Director of Republic Records LA, and multi Grammy winning musician on piano dressed in the Red jumpsuit band members wore for the Elvis 68 Comeback tour. Everything about this screams Class and Eloquence from this 16 hear old. Cheers, stay well. You see that pop up at end, Angelina covering Whitney's "I Have Nothing", filmed in this same location, it is spectacular, just released couple weeks ago.

Yeah! She’s something special, isn’t she? Pure Velvet Perfection! This vocal arrangement was all Angelina, I have no doubt in collaboration with a stellar team including Rob Christie & Mery Zamani her Grandmother. She is a Master Storyteller. The video is shot in the same Antique Store that she did 'My Funny Valentine' on Valentine’s Day. I believe it is in LA near her home. I believe the girls in the video represent Angelina's Journey from infancy to present through the classics of music history. Thus the Antique store, She grew up studying and performing these classics. Did you notice that right foot raise it''s heal to cradle the guitar a couple of times in the performance. I was waiting for her to throw in a little shake to it in homage to the King. Could that have been intentional? That is Rob Christie on piano. Sister Juliette and a couple of Uncle Michael's Babies. I think that makes them cousins not nieces. Full Black Leather Bodysuit, the guitar from his concert in 68 and the hair a homage to Priscilla Presley. Yeah! She can bring tears to your eyes. Epic. Incredible. ♥👣👸🏻🎷

Just when you think you understand how good she is, you hear something else and realize she is even better than you thought. It's not just a high talent, it is a wide talent. I'm not sure if that makes any sense, but what I mean is that she is not just a great vocalist, she is a great artist. She finds so many different ways to use her instrument to create so many unique interpretations... and somehow she always makes it seem so easy and natural. ...like it was just always meant to be that way.

It might be possible Angelina herself made a little brake manouver for this video, as she started her little mini tour in norway just after the releas of this video. She came along and gave us the days of two suns. She did of course melt our hearts, as she gave us her wonderous vioce in about 20 songs (all uploaded to YT by now). Among these, also her live version of this marvelous Elvis cover, and her equally wonderful latest version of Whitney Houston`s "I Have Nothing". Her first appearance at the live stage in 3 years, came through at such a high level, we couldn`t even see it in our dreams. I have to admit this is the first time I literally got chills from listening to and watching the 'reactor' to an Angelina video! Your enthusiasm including several jaw dropping moments and your constant pausing didn't bother me in the least! The three songs you have listened to from Angelina has given you a great idea of what has been going on, hasn't it? In a word she is spectacular! No one in the world (age is not a factor to consider) has a more beautiful voice with it's soulful tones and when you said, "She knows what she's doing", that's so true and we mere mortals love her very much but people in the industry, in any capacity, are in total awe of her because they understand what and how she's doing what she does and they are stunned, as you were! :) I'll close by saying I think you will like to hear more of her current work because of your dual capacity as a vocal teacher besides being a reactor. But, some of her work, particularly when she was 10 years old is so good it is off the charts. I wish you would give a listen to some of them. See ya and thanks, again, for a sensational reaction to our barefoot Princess!

But Angelina's earlier stuff is still amazing on her road to today. "Summertime" (NGT), Feeling Good at age 10 and many, many more would add to your understanding of this amazing talent. So looking forward to your next AJ reaction/analysis. Your smile is infectious.

When she sings the word "together" it's perfection. Exactly, her voice is so powerful. And she's only sixteen! I can't get over it. She's amazing.

Wow your very learned comments and excitements all throughout this Angelina Jordan's artistic performance is so infectious. Your comments at every turns and corners on this reaction got me excited too. Also very educational on a layman like me learning so much on the technical vocal aspects you brought up. Really enjoyed your reactions and hoping for more soon. Thank you.

Here is a live version of Suspicious Minds that Angelina sang on her Summer Norway Concert Tour - this was the second of three encores for this specific concert - the audience didn't want her to leave and she didn't want to leave either: kzread.info/dash/bejne/lH12u6adh7bdZrQ.html

I really enjoyed your reaction and wonderful analysis. It's like watching the painter Bob Ross before he paints showing you all the colors on his palette that he will use. Even though it is so often the same paint colors, every painting is unique. That is Angelina's voice. The way she combines the colors in her voice, she is a master colorist.

I was so glad you picked up on her artistic use of breathing. That is taken out in post production for most artists, but Angelina uses it to elicit emotion. I've read that she has in her contract with Republic Records that she won't allow the use of Autotune or other types of pitch control. I don't know whether it's true, but I sure hope it is. As far as I'm concerned the more "raw" her performances are, the better they are. Her "perfect imperfections" tells you that this is real singing, not computer wizardry. Love your enthusiasm & technical breakdown of my favorite artist of all time. Thank you!!!

To think you have only listened to about 2% of her work. The vast majority of which leads you to an inevitable truth. Who is the greatest I suppose is subjective with no real way of measuring, but the truth, she is in the running for all time greatest vocal artist, not to mention human being. If she continues to progress the way she has over the last three years...wow! In 10 years, she will only be 26! No one will compare. During her concert she said she is motivated to get better. It's hard to imagine what that will look like, but she'll do it.

In many ways this performance reminds me of "I Put A Spell On You". She is showing off the many ways she has to convey emotions with her voice but this time she is doing it in a more mature, professional way. Several times in this performance I get an Elvis growl/twang. Just enough to hint at him.

You're both knowledgeable and down to earth... I feel like I watched you open a gift you didn't know you wanted but fell in love with😉. Pause away, we understand you can't go see the Mona Lisa painting, stand a minute or two and walk away ... Every color, shade, stroke requires engagement... There's only one of those, and there's ONLY ONE Angelina Jordan.... Come back soon with her latest .. a black/white Studio Version of "I Have Nothing" and feel free to take all the time you want to share your FEELINGS, because that's the BEST part of your reactions!!! All the years of work and study have paid off for AJ in a big way. She packs so much into every bit of every word. She understands the message of the songs she sings and how to use sound to reach you on an emotional and primal level. She truley knows her craft and I feel she is THE best vocalist on any stage today. She can hop into any genere and just knock your socks off. Hers is not just a natural talent but a wonderful hybrid of talent and knowledge and use of different techniques. She is a master and she worked hard to learn the skills. She delivers flawlessly.

Hi again Bethany. I mentioned to your reaction to Frank Sinatra a couple of hours ago how my 2 sisters loved Frank Sinatra. Since this was reacted a yr ago, don't know if you'll read this. In my comments there, I mentioned as a kid, my older sisters loved hearing Frank Sinatra. Moreso, though, will Elvis! They go all goofy listening to his songs and would go to see his movies, over and over again! So to say I'm familiar with this song is an understatement! Angelina floors me the second she starts to sing this song. I feel myself tearing up every time I listen to it! I love reactors expressions just like her performance to "I Put A Spell on You" How I wish my sisters were still alive to today to have listened to Angelina sing this song! My oldest sister passed away 2 years ago and the moment she passed, as I along with her son and daughter and grandkids around her, we played Amazing Grace sung by Elvis.
