Voice Lessons - How To Strengthen Head Voice - Ken Tamplin Vocal Academy.
I think it's important to define what Headvoice is.
My definition of Headvoice is not just "Anything that resonates in your head" (which is a common definition).
My definition of Headvoice is growing our falsetto register to sound and have the same qualities as our chest voice, so that when we cross the passaggio (our bridge from chest into headvoice) we can create one long, powerful note.
In this video, I demonstrate how to strengthen this amazing part of the voice to give us incredible range and ease for singing high notes. This lays a strong foundation for creating a great mix voice.
Great Singing To You!

@@IversonGeo still can't find my mixed voice. How did you do that? There is always some kind of border between chest and head voice that makes most of songs impossible for me to sing, so I sing them octave lower even if my range is quite high. I practice half a year...

Honestly, I did not appreciate Ken's videos as I do now when I first started to learn how to sing. I now realize that Ken's videos are for those that have gone through a decent amount of trial and error to have experiences and knowledge to understand his videos. Ken, you may not know it because it may be a total norm for you. BUT what you teach and the examples you give are purely from your experience and a great understanding of your audience and students. Some of your videos may not be appealing to new singers as those videos may require viewers to have a fair share of experience before being able to fully grasp the reasoning and explanation you give but that's what separates you from the other teacher/coaches. I really appreciate your effort and how you share your knowledge in a carefree manner. I did not understand back then but now it makes sense to me, more than any others' videos I've watched. P.S: This is not limited to this particular video of yours.

When I was in my school choir, when I was a sweet, innocent schoolboy and before I sold my soul to Santa (I think) and became a heavy metal singer, we used to warm up in a very similar way, with the phrase, "Barely sorry, oh,", which came out as "Beh-eh-ly-soh-re, oh", so we covered the octave.

I started doing that just for warm ups and found it made a really huge difference. I do it all the time before starting to sing. Our great dane doesn't like it , he starts to whine and howl lol, maybe he thinks I am in great pain. I found that it helps to relax the throat and it helps to hit the higher range, with voice control.I am defiantly going to try the way you showed here. Cheers!

michael, it may be that you need to develop your chest voice more. Be very gentle with this, and don't rush to get higher. Take your time. Watch this video: kzread.info/dash/bejne/gm1-lct-npetocY.html

How I wish I had a music teacher like you during my formative years... I could have been a great singer today... but now I'm about to turn 30 this year I think it would be very very hard for me to train my voice.... I just love to watching your videos at home after work.. coz I strongly believe your tutorials would help me a lot along the way... thank you coach Ken Tamplin

I strengthen my voice in the gym baby. Mainly while doing compound movements and HITT cardio but on occasion I also incorporate it on isolation movements. 💪💪💪 No I don't, nor do I sing. Thank you for the info Ken. 😁 Btw the diaphragmatic exercises are working wonders. The sound of my speaking voice has been less monotonous and clearer. Blowing my nose with the power of the abs is also a very weird but helpful for getting cleared up, lol. And I'm almost stable at C2#, so it's getting there. Thanks again! 😁

Ken, if you get the chance, would you be kind enough to please do a video teaching scales on the guitar and how to play them within chords? With your skill and teaching ability it would mean the world to a guitar player like me who never took lessons . I am great on chords but don't know what scales can be played within those chords. For years I have been copying songs from tabs, never really knowing what notes I am playing within chords. You have such a plethora of knowledge on singing and guitar playing that your guitar lesson would be truly be a gift to anyone lucky enough to see it. Thanks for all your great videos.

Methode in this video really works. Is possible singing in pure falsetto and after create tone memory on tones is possible crossed on full (timbre?) tone. On same high tone. Very interest how is possible examinated own voice. During Exercise it were confirmed. Falsetto is easy hold. And after is possible push more air over vocal cords. Arises an especial effect when is falsetto suddenly changed to full nice tone - voice.
