The older boy bends his and you can see that he has lost his way when he becomes the commander. The boy who makes the necklaces becomes the soldier (Dimash) and is married to the girl from the beach, who is now pregnant and the little girl is their daughter. The soldier kills his old friend the commander and then is killed in turn. His wife gives birth and dies at the same time that her husband dies and the baby is born. Her symbol is on the baby who becomes the leader in the robe at the end. A magnificent and brilliant masterpiece in all ways by Dimash. He performed this for the conference on religions and the Pope gave Dimash a medal of gold.

This is the story as I see it. It’s the story of three childhood friends who are all joined by the symbol of the necklace. Dimash as a child saves the other boy who became the dictator (The boy who saved the boy from drowning is really tall, so that gives us the clue that he is the boy who is Dimash) Dimash married the girl from his childhood, they have a daughter who was killed in the war. Dimash kills his childhood friend, (the dictator) who he saved from drowning when they were children. The Dictator’s soldier’s kill Dimash. Dimash’s wife gives birth to their son, his father’s necklace is passed down to him. It’s Dimash’s son at the end leading all people and all religions to peace (Throughout the video when Dimash is singing in a Middle Eastern style, that’s flash forward to the future, where the people are being led by Dimash’s son.)

@@suedouglas5455 The tall boy is the commander. Look at the mole on his right cheek. Dimash's character is the drowning boy who made the necklaces and who the girl chose over the taller boy. The taller boy is miffed about it and when the smaller boy gives him the necklace, he bends it in his hand. You can see that same symbol when the commander opens his hand and shows the bent gnomon symbol. The symbol is the gnomon which is the main part of the sundial. He holds it upside down and the insignia is also this way on the uniforms. He has lost his way and has developed a warped belief in war and peace. Dimash is not only singing in Eastern style but he sings chants from several religions. It is not all from the same source. Just as there are multiple representatives of many religions struggling up towards the light. As to the baby, I kind of think that he may be 3 things when grown into the robed man: 1)the soldier/maker of the necklaces/father of the girl that was killed/husband to the beach girl grown (who gives birth to the baby & dies in childbirth). 2) the soldier/boy who made the necklaces reincarnated into his newborn son 3) Dimash. He looks directly into the camera as he pulls the hood up and gives the tiniest of smiles. It is as if he is saying to us: I am telling you this story to give you the message. I am trying to lead you all towards peace with this work of art. Notice that the people who were trekking up the mountain stop and stand still as they face the light. These are the same people who follow Dimash when he turns and starts walking. They are the same, not 20 yrs older (which would be the case if it was the baby/son grown up). It is like the soldier (Dimash), the baby/son, and the creator of this piece (Dimash) all rolled into one.

I'm kind of the belief that the soldier (Dimash) dies and reincarnates to the baby - his son, but yet I also think that it is Dimash himself at the end combined with all of the characters that died. He looks right at the camera and gives a tiny smile as he pulls his hood up. I think that he is telling us that the whole piece is about leading away from war, towards peace and light and life, and that he is leading us with this story, this creation, these characters. Notice that all the ones struggling up the mountain stop and look towards the light and then the dead soldier screams 'WE are choosing life' 7 times before his body dies, the mother dies from childbirth and the baby is born with the symbol. He wants us to follow him as all of the rest do once Dimash is at the front to lead. It is a masterpiece. It has provoked more conversation and thought than any other video that I'm aware of.

These are my views on this amazing masterpiece The Story of One Sky - I have watched this many times and still find things out that i never thought of amazing video and i have said it before if anyone could bring peace i strongly believe Dimash could make it possible. This needs to be shared worldwide to show people there is another way. War is never the answer because the only ones to suffer are the innocent. Rewatched the song of Dimash today one line stood out to me One of the most profound lines in The Story of One Sky is the line "Learn to share the love, Not shares" Not shares meaning stop making money out of war rich people have many shares in companies that profit from weapon manufacturing making them richer while the innocent suffer sadly this is why war exists. MONEY, GREED and POWER. The part in the video with the little girl and the people in the hallway were Dimash's family who had been wiped out the little girl whose body he picked up was his daughter, the baby that was born was his son who grew up to be Dimash grown up at the end!!! The Dimash at the end can also be seen as Dimash in the afterlife leading others to the light in peace. This video needs to be shown worldwide. Something else i noticed is in his dying breath he sang (We're Choosing Life) as he finally passed away now that is powerful

Dimash doesn't have perfect English and adds S at the end of some words, even in French. Some different reactors had come up with very strange ideas about the symbolism, running wild in my opinion. Making it fit their religious and political views.

When Dimash premiered this song at his concert he gave a speech prior to singing the song. I think that speech is important and gives context to the song and story: "Many thanks dear friends, before I perform the next song, let me say a few words. Thank you very much. We, the people sitting in this stadium, each of us is different, not totally alike one another, but we are all God's children, each of us with different talents. And, as I mentioned just now, right now is a bad time. In fact, I am not satisfied with the present situation. I have not seen how such situations evolved in the past, therefore I don't know what will happen next. But many people are suffering today because of a few individuals, it's really true. We, we the adults, consider ourselves to be "smarter" than the small children and innocents, but while we do our best to teach and educate our children, we forget that we also have some things to learn from those children. He chose to stay an independent artist so he doesn’t have the resources nor the big money to be promoted like artists signed in big music companies.

“We’re choosing life”. The scream - which none of us had heard previously - precluded “rebirth” through his son (the shepherd at the end). Dimash performed this before the video was released for a religious conference involving the Pope and other leaders. He also performed live at a concert in Kazakhstan with some of the video. Breathtaking performance of a masterpiece for peace. Prayers for peace from Canada.

I haven't seen the performance in front of The Pope. I assume there's no recording, but if there is, would you be able to link it? This song is the pinnacle of humanity's grief, anguish, empathy and ability to communicate an aeons long wish in the most profound, exemplary, and easy to grasp way. The metallic element that the boy "Dimash" used to make the pendant is a gnomon of a sundial of a maritime compass, the triangular blade is attached to the sundial in such a way that it casts a shadow on it and the hole is drilled lets in the sunlight, thus projecting its image. This gnomon was used both to navigate and to measure time and timing, it marks the true north and served as an orientation for navigators so as not to lose their way and to guide people. In the video it is used as a symbol of fraternity but the The antagonist, who will later become the president, bends the element in his hand and a bent gnomon cannot function and set the course, it will never show him the true North and therefore the boy in the future will lose his moral compass. Dimash has really taken it to another level with this cinematic work. This is more than just a music video, it's a wake-up call! If he doesn't win a prize with this masterpiece, I wonder what it will take. He is so invested in the well-being of humanity and in the unity of all peoples. It takes a lot of courage to make a 13 min music video on such a heartbreaking subject. Dimash has worked for 3 years on this project and he said that he suffered a lot emotionally during the creation of this piece, besides at the beginning, you can hear sobbing in his voice and I doubt it was intentional, he was really in pain. The powerful message conveyed by this video is more relevant today than ever. I think this video is mostly about the message. This message is for the first time more important than his vocal abilities. His voice is just the tool in this video. But indispensable and simply indescribable. Dimash is not just a singer on a level of his own, he has enormous depth, is wise far beyond his years and is a role model in many ways. Like he always says: "we are not in this world to be singers, but to be good humans in the first place". He lives by high moral values and standards. He's humble, respectful, attentive, grateful,... The director Alina Veripa told about the creation of the music video for the new song. The clip is divided into several parts. The first one is about childhood. However, the Protagonist’s wife survives with the help of people who know that she is the one who must give birth to a special boy who can save the world. A parallel line of pilgrims are people of different religions, walking the hard path to some place of power where they could unite and discover the Heavenly Eye that would illuminate the world. I once saw a concert video of his where he stopped to speak to the audience. He spoke of the death and misery of millions of children in war and how the violence began with the decision to declare war made by a few adults. He asked how often the opposite happened. Never. War angers Dimash. In the video he sings, we are choosing life repeatedly. At a concert in Vietnam he sings the whole song of this video ending by stating, we need peace. This is recorded by a fan but it is of good quality and very much worth watching - it's amazing.

Not only because of the message but the harsh reality of war is being thrown in your face, the cry in agony while holding the child while whaling in the background is heart wrenching but what got to me the most is his underwater cry/scream “we’re choosing life” . Incluso en su presentación de estreno del Flay Away su puesta en escena también es una denuncia, más sutil, pero incuestionable a la sociedad vacua en que se está convirtiendo el mundo. Único.

Hello firends! Thank you for your sincere reaction! Have you noticed that Dimash is the main solder right from the very beginning of the war scene, when he was shot in the arm, many people miss that? When I first watched this MV, it broke me, I became very emotional, it was heart wrenching, to say the least!😢 Dimash has worked very hard for 3 years composing the music for this song, and around 20 days to make this MV. It turned out to be his most valuable MV, in the ideological sense, ever made, a real Masterpiece! I believe that Dimash deserves THE NOBEL PEACE PRIZE for his selfless hard work and tireless efforts, not only for this MV, but for trying to bring the world together in love, peace and harmony, through his music, MVs and many charities he dedicates his time to. He is a Legend and will go down in History. The mini movie is full of symbolisms, it's the story of 3 youths, and the necklace which was made by the young Dimash and shared with his friends symbolizing lifelong friendship and unity. The Piper grew up and started a war, using the symbol of the necklace as the crest on his army uniform. This is my breakdown of the story, as I see it: 1) Dimash, who was drowning at the beginning and at the end. 2) The Piper, the one who saved Dimash, and who became the leader, and who was killed by Dimash at the end. 3) The young girl, who died in childbirth, became Dimash’s future wife, had two children together; a daughter who was killed by the Piper's army; and the birth of a son at the end, who inherited the necklace from her mother…, they were all torn by the war. For the symbolic aspects, Dimash is showing the different cultures and religions (Christianity, Judaism, Islam, Buddhism, Hindi, etc.), through throat singing, which is called the REQUIEM (mass for the souls of the dead), from different religions. The Pilgrim, Shepard or Wise Man at the end of the video was Dimash’s newborn son, born in his image and grows up to guide the Representatives of different religions and race from different Nations to the light, for a new beginning living together in peace, tolerance, love and harmony. Dimash has created a gigantic work of art, of immeasurable human value and philosophical depth. And he has presented it to us through a moving, shocking, devastatingly intense performance. Only a genius could have created something like this.
