I was somewhere in that crowd, and at the time it was well known that Thom had come to hate performing Creep, so it was a fantastic surprise that it wasn't just performed, but performed masterfully and with full commitment. And even in a crowd of tens of thousands, the performance made it feel intimate and personal.

That song and his voice always... ALWAYS stabs me right in the heart. I know that pain all too well. "I'm a weirdo. What the Hell am I doing here? I don't belong here." The desperate longing in his voice. Wanting something, someone that You feel is so far above you. To sing that song light and bright would ruin it. He nails it, you can hear the pain, feel his frustration and isolation... And it hurts. And if it doesn't hurt you, then you just can't feel or lived a perfectly blessed life and are probably that person from the "In Crowd" that caused that longing and pain in people like Tom, myself and so many others. *(slow blinks)* I am gonna go huddle in the corner of my bed, hug my Plushie bat and play my playlist with this song on it.

I'm enchanted by the Lucifer (series) cover of this song. Tom Ellis, who plays the main character, has performed this song in quite a different manner. Not sure if you do cover reactions but it would be interesting to hear your opinion on it as well as on other covers from the Lucifer series, hehe.

I'd love to see your take on Lisa Hannigan "Snow". Or well, ANY Lisa Hannigan song. Her voice is mesmerizing; beautiful in every sense of the word.

Great song. Two members of The Hollies got co-writing credits (and mailbox money) because the "Run, run, run" bit of Creep is exactly the same riff as the verse for "Air that I Breathe".

I've noticed quite a few people make the comments about his mouth movements, Thom does the mouth movements to stretch his jaw, as you'll notice he needs to do to sing the lyrics Run, Run near the end of the song also He has been described by Rolling Stone as one of the greatest and most influential singers of his generation!!!
