I partially agree with this. I mean, he still sounds great but he can no longer sing like he did in this video. She's right, some of those notes wouldn't be good for him in the long run and probably took their toll. If you listen to Eddie now it's a bit of a slower pace, he enunciates more and the sound is a bit more folksy vs. the grittier sound in this video.

Eddie Vedder has always sang with his heart. He is one of the most emotional singers, he just gets in the zone of the music when he performs and it is always beautiful to see and hear. Back in the day he ran around the stage and was just so caught up in the music. He still performs now but he is more calm in the sense of not running around, but he still performs everything he does with that same passion.

While he may be able to still nominally hit the notes now, he cannot generate the power or intensity that he could here. Aging stinks, but so does Eddie's smoking habit. Additionally, this style just isn't conducive to longevity. There's a reason she is cringing when he's reaching the climax of this song. She should definitely avoid listening to "Blood" or the entire 1995 Soldier Field concert.

Show Me How To Live Audioslave sounded like one of his most honest songs as well.

It’s fun watching someone fall in love over agin. 6:23. Huge smile, adjustment of the clothes, hair flips, blushes, then in a trance as she composes herself to get back “on track”

I love that you can see the moment she gets so wrapped in the emotion that she forgets to do any comentary, and every time she trys to start again he does something else awesome that steals her attention. This is truly one of the best live performances out there

Heya Beth, listening to Eddie expressing that emotion, and the way I see it makes you feel! I mean, that anguish brings me to tears. I love you.
