This guy is such a class act. His voice is off the charts! His Opera performances, Rock performances, sense of humor, all of it, incredible! He (like Lou Gramm) set the bar so high. Both voices are characterized by that "extra gear" of intense high notes and such challenging tessitura. At 65, he can still pump it out.

ikr! not many ppl know about his rock era or the fact he sings opera so well. he is truly versatile. I wish he wouldn't have been so boxed into pop, which was great but he can do so much more

2yrs ago, MB put 3 voice lessons on KZread with his vocal coach he's had since the 80s. He had just returned from Italy, singing OPERA!! Talent with TRAINING = the success these guys have. I gotta get your level 1 classes/disks someday.

Ken...at 3:30 you and Bolton hit the tightest harmonies! The best part is, you just jumped in to sing along with the melody and Bolton goes into his upper register to be tasty. It was flawless, borderline magical. I love these reaction videos, you notice and hear so many subtle things.... which is how I always listen to music. It's nice to see someone else who notices the little things that make songs so soulful and awesome!

I knew bolton was awesome but I think that, expressively talking, he's better than ever. Pitch and tune sound dark bit perfectly fine too, at least for my ears. Keep rocking bro.

Michael Bolton have a very unique voice and now I regret that I did not get to see him live in concert in my city, it was probably a unique chance

As a 31 year old, I can proudly say that Michael is my favourite singer, who also does my favourite song of all time. He has one of the most distinctive voices I've ever heard. Within one note, you know it's Michael. I remember requesting some MB a while back. Thanks for covering him, Ken!

Others with very unique, distinctive voices are..Elvis Presley, Michael Jackson, Lou Gramm, Peter Cetera, Steve Perry and of course, Chris Stapleton..plus many others. Oh, just thought of a few more, Roy Orbison, Bobby Hatfield, James Brown, Smokey Robinson, Ray Charles, Rod Stewart, & Johnny Maestro. Even though a lot of these were old enough to be my father, I still love the singers from years ago. I would know their voices anywhere! Sorry...just had to add a few 😊

hello Ken and thanks for the little stories about recording and studios. Working in a studio is a lot of time spent on fixing problems than actually working. The laws of physics. Michael Bolton is a great voice WOW from my teen years... still going strong.

When I was 5 years old (1991) my sister and I attended a daycare center in Nashville. One day one of the older women working there introduced her friend to play his acoustic guitar and play us a few songs, he was in town recording some music she said. I found it a bit dull. When we got home my dad asked us what we did that day. We said "Someone came to play music. Some guy named Michael Bolton or something."

Hi Ken and Bob! In 1969, The Rolling Stones began calling themselves the world's greatest rock n' roll band. Since forming in 1962, now fifty seven years later they have proved through their immense body of work and countless concerts that they are indeed the worlds greatest band and performers of all time. The Stones set the bar for everyone to follow. I have no idea why I never see requests for the Stones; however, I would very much appreciate it if you could do many more vocal coach reactions to The Stones, perhaps one every other day (alright maybe that's a bit much but once in a while would be pretty sweet).
