They became more famous in Sweden after being on Masked Singer Sweden as Spelmannen (and won). Before that most of us saw them as little kids that did music for kids, we kind of didn't realize that they had grown up and could sing really, really well. If you can you should look at some clips from their time on Masked Singer. It's really good!

Marcus & Martinus were the runner-ups of Melodifestivalen last year, beaten only by Loreen. When OGAE (the international Eurovision fan clubs) selected their winner among the national finals, in their second chance contest, they won. Perhaps you can react to that one too? "Marcus & Martinus - Air" There is the Melodifestivalen performance, but also a acustic version. Both well worth checking out. They also won Sweden's Masked Singer last year. They've written the song together with Linnea Deb and Joy Deb (who has co-written songs like Måns Zelmerlöw's Eurovision winning song "Heroes" in 2015, as well as 5 other Eurovision entries) and Jimmy Joker who co-wrote Loreen's "Tattoo" last year, as well as 5 other Eurovision entries.

That rhythmic melody which plays throughout is almost a direct copy of Salva Mea by Faithless. If you look up Faithless - Salva Mea (Live At Alexandra Palace 2005) and play it from 2 mins 55 secs in, you'll be able to tell what I mean. It's not EXACTLY the same but it's definitely very close. Inspiration or plagiarism? You decide. I still quite like it, though :D Not as much as Netherlands, Belgium, Croatia and Austria but it is kinda catchy.

I like it because it’s actually really well done while still being camp. A bit of fun without being a joke entry. Gives a bit of early 00s and late 90s boy band feel especially with the bridge, with staging that reminds me of the marrix. great staging, solid vocals, good choreo, a bit of over the top Eurovision stage costumes. All while having two identical twins doing it. I don’t think it’s gonna win. Some other year it might have done too 5. But especially as hosting countries often seem to have a bit of a disadvantage in voting, I would guess maybe top 10. But overall I think a fun yet well done entry. Happy to see it be in the mix of this years entries.

Sweden pull it off this time. I'm not a Loreen/Tattoo fan at all. But this hits the spot. A great live performance, staging, costumes great but I want something brighter, choreo and they are gorgeous. I will play this on my radio programme for sure. A stand alone hit. Will it win? Depends if public want more ballad or pop beat. Super tough to choose.

I don´t like native language in non-english songs. The reason is that I want to understand the lyrics as I believe a song is meaningless if You don´t understand the lyrics. Lyrics is important and should be meaningful in some way that fits both the vocalists as well as the tune. A good example of fitting lyrics is Sweden´s "Unforgettable" as it´s lyrics is sung by two boyish 22 year old men dancing in sort of a "nightclub" singing about dangerously hot girls, unforgettable girls. Something I remember from my own youth well spent in the discos where I once fell in true love with a girl at first sight only to later found out that she was a high-end escort working nightclubs and 5 star hotels ....but indeed she was so beautiful and charismatic that she was unforgettable ....Unforgettable´s lyrics should imo be given high points for the lyrics, high points for the vocals and high points for the staging . It´s a work of art and may for that reason win the juries vote.

It sounds like a 90s boyband song and looks like that aswell. I don't see them being in the top ten by so many strong entries this year. since some countries trade points and some of the jury might be all for a 90s like song, they might surprise us by getting many points though.

"Honest" Vocal Coach I have been following the videos on your channel for several years. Unfortunately, I realized today that you intend to boycott the Israeli song for Eurovision 2024. Therefore - if this is indeed the case, you leave me no choice but to simply unsubscribe your channel. Most bloggers react to Israel's song as usual, but there are some who don't (especially the big and well-known ones). It's disappointing, because anyone who brings politics into Eurovision is: 1 - Unprofessional and dishonest in his reviews 2 - Not a real Eurovision fan (because politics is dangerous for the future of the competition) 3 - Engages in Eurovision only for money. 4 - acts contrary to the decisions of the EBU - in other words, against Eurovision. If you chose music - I would happily continue watching your videos. Since you chose to be a politician - unfortunately, I will have to unsubscribe your channel, like I did to Noosh101, Alesia Michelle, Escunited, Wiwibloggs. (Some of these people do not understand anything about the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and feed on rumors and poisons from the net, some are anti-Semitic and support terrorism, some are afraid of losing viewers and money because of threats they have received. I don't know what you are - but what you all have in common is the engagement in politics which is destructive to the (imminent) future of the Eurovision contest, and separates people instead of uniting them as the Eurovision slogan. Look at all the poison and hatred on the Internet throughout this Eurovision season, whoever will be in Malmö during Eurovision week is going to be in a dangerous battlefield, full of hatred and demonstrations from all sides. Is this how you want to see the future of Eurovision? This was supposed to be a music competition!!! One day you will all understand, but maybe it will already be too late...

This has no chance of winning. This will do really well with the jury ending up at least top 6. However I think it will end up around bottom 5 in the televote as people don't really care for the song, and they might think this is in an interval act with the staging not being helped by opening the show. I see this borderline top 10 at the moment and if the televote and jury can agree on most of the top 10-13 outside of this song it could finish outside of the top 10.

I can't even understand why the jury would give this a lot of points. It's so BORING! And the lyrics are just vapid. And the whole song just does the same thing all the way through. Vocals are fine but just that. Ugh. I love Sweden and this is just a disappointment.

Because it's the EuroVISION song contest, how the song is presented is just as important as the song these days imo and a lot of jury members are media professionals who will love the slick staging and will give it big points for that alone.
