People think they are doing the child a favor by having her sing at a public event before she is ready. It is so unfair to the child. I hope she doesn’t let the negative comments destroy her passion.

My thoughts exactly. I hope people focus on the raw talent and her passion for singing. It would be so sad to see a passionate young singer with a good voice give it all up because people are so cruel. I really blame the parents for this. They set the poor kid up to fail. I hope they can at least shelter her from the worst of the comments. She and her family should see this as a sign to get that talented kid some good lessons.

Thank you! I feel so sad seeing grown ass adults making fun of this girl. Someone told her to go out there and give it her all, and she did! She just needs help fine tuning her instrument and watch 10 years from now, she’s gonna be an artist. I just hope she doesn’t let the internet kill her passion

Sometimes it’s OK to tell your kids they’re not good at something this is how you set them up for failure you and I and everyone else both know this was horrendous and hurt all of our ears. She should stay in school. People are laughing at her not with her.

I think it was brave of the girl to acknowledge that you were right. That she needs help. Her voice will get better as she gets older too, and certainly it will with your help.

I blame the parents. This little girl has so much potential and i completely agree that with some training she will be a good singer. I just hate that her parents wouldnt humble themselves enough and now people are relentlessly making fun of this poor CHILD.

I agree with you, my parents are so honest if I was singing bad they would say but this, is unacceptable. I respectly hate and blame the parents who did this to a sweet child and now grown people are just gonna mock her forever, the internet is becoming a terrible place.

But on a couple occasions I really blew performances. Certainly the witnesses thought, “why is this person allowed to perform? She can’t play at all.”

Her parents lied to this child and now this will live forever on the internet , poor kid is being made fun of not her fault . How adults can let her do this . A for effort to this young girl

Oh my... Sometimes the greatest deterrence for real growth, are a parents overwhelming blindness and positivity when it comes to their own child. Potential, everyone has it, but first you gotta get through the bs and see what reality is before you actually reach that potential.

She was humbled when asking for help so... She deserves it.

Watching and listening to this is one of THE MOST painful experiences I’ve had in a long time. I don’t know what kind of parental/organizational dysfunction it took to allow this public display. This is Florence Foster Jenkins in training. I pray for higher guidance for this little girl, and that she can sing her little heart out in a trained manner.

She’s been going from sporting event to sporting event singing the anthem. Either her parents are tone deaf or they’re afraid of being honest with their children and placing her in vocal training to work on her voice.

Mama Cheryl, If you take this baby on, her singing techniques will change completely and you’ll be able to develop her God-given talent. You have all the tools to make an amazing change in her life.🙏🙏🙏🙏💝💝💝🤩🤩

Just as this child; many notes melts your heart and several hurts your ears! Vocal training is just fine tuning the gift God gave to the ones he chose!! Parents should be proud to have your help.. I think it's a wonderful thing to support your children in thihgs they may be passionate about, but I also feel it is a horrible thing to lie and set them up for failure by turning the blind eye just because it is your child. CLEARLY they see their child could use some guidance and possibly didn't want to feel as though they lacked in supporting her if they pointed out all of her flaws... REASON they so desperately begged you to listen to her and critique after hearing her. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE HELP this child find the incredible talent you believe she has. I have followed you for some time now and truly believe in you. Her parents have found the ONLY person great enough to make this miracle happen if it should be so. Also the most compassionate one it is not meant and needs MUCH MORE training and effort to become successful 🙏🏾💕

Totally agree Cheryl! This young girl has the courage, vocal agility, and strength to be an awesome singer, but she needs someone to teach her how to use her gifts to express the beauty within her. You can hear it vocally in a few spots. She does not have a natural EAR for music and pitch, and that's why she was throwing out every vocal trick she has ever heard. It's the every single trick part that made the rest hard to listen to. @@firsttenor76

I'll admit that I laughed the first time I saw this, but I also will admit that I 100% sounded like this at her age, lots of passion with no direction and all she needs is a good teacher and some patience. Thank you to Mrs C and Mrs D who where that to me.

Mark my words: she’s gonna be one of the biggest stars when she gets older. People are gonna be biting their tongues & eating their nasty words after some training & intentionality. She’s got RANGE, she’s got PASSION, & she’s got TIME. Many of the ADULTS who said nasty things about her wish they could have something to work with like she does.

Her parents aren’t doing her any justice by not getting the training she so obviously needs!

We must get her to your class!!!!! And the Parents should get a lecture. They shouldn’t of ridiculed their baby that way

It takes a mature person to understand and know they need work and help with technic. That was very mature of her. She has a lot of potential. You can tell with the right training and coach, she can be a phenomenal soldier get! I sure do hope she got the help she wanted and needed.

I love this perspective. I never looked at it this way. An educator knows that with a little patience, training, practice, and consistency anyone can grow. She has the passion she just needs the training.

Honestly, the amount of passion she puts into this performance radiates from start to end and that's all that matters! She has a voice with very high potential (and the high notes omg), she just needs some help on pitch and basically some good vocal training and she'll sound amazing (especially with that amount of confidence)❤

I agree with Mama Cheryl. And I think people need to learn that lying to someone is NOT loving. Love is PAINFUL sometimes. Love would have encouraged her passion and been honest with her to practice a lot first, until she's actually ready for the level she's trying to jump into. All a little girl needs is a dream, and the gift of accepting good feedback and she can do ANYTHING. 💪👧

Yup- this girl is gonna be a star someday and she’ll get there so much quicker with vocal coaching. I envy whoever get to work with her, too, every teacher craves to teach someone with that much passion and potential. I have goosebumps just thinking about all of those aha moments and breakthroughs that teacher gets to witness.

The national anthem is a song meant to unite singer w audience. Audiences want this to remain singable enough to join in. So many singers overstylize it. . I wonder if that influenced her choices throughout. I hope you take her under your wing Cheryl, it would be so good for her and all of us to witness love and learning along the way.

I love seeing what you can do for people who love to sing. I always wanted to see what you could do for the contestants on shows that were made fun of and ridiculed.

If you can fix her pitch problems, you are a miracle worker. This is actually far better than some other versions she's done. She did the Canadian national anthem as well-- I dare you to find the melody in there, somewhere. I am a professional musician, including voice, and every professional I've ever known has had a much better sense of pitch by that age, much younger in fact.

I would love to see her progression with Cheryl's help.
