I loved seing you react to Florence. It felt like you were seeing a classic painting and you were moved by it or like you knew you probably should pause and say something but you just couldn't take your eyes out of the perfomance. Definitely the Florence Welch effect!

When Florence usually performs live, she's not got good posture. She's to busy skipping round the stage & running into the crowd. It's great.

Having good posture doesn’t necessarily mean standing still. You can still jump around being well aligned overall so that you don’t compromise your vocal performance. In certain cases (like in this video) there can be a lot of magic and power in bring still!

Her posture, dress and choice of songs seems to have been tailored specifically for this austere audience. Definitely not a LA rock concert venue performance.

When I saw this Royal Albert Hall performance on KZread, it seemed to come through that she was just deep down so happy to be performing in that epic London venue.

Her voice is so potent and beautiful, I need to hear more from her. I don’t like a lot of song genre but I need to be more open minded. But I don’t understand why people aren’t fond of her voice though...🤔 Rare voices are a plus for me

Something about the word "You" seems to lend itself to Florence's vocals. Or is it the other way around? Whatever. They were made for each other! Dam! Florence could sing names in a phone book and it would sound beautiful I bet.

Thanks, I'm glad you liked it:) Did I say "classical training" ? Whoops, if I did that's not what I meant. Not a classical singing training but she must have had contemporary singing lessons as her voice from the beginning of the career and now are miles apart!

She DID have classical training when she was about 11[but didn't say for how long]! She talked about it on James Corden. She didn't like that the singing teacher wanted her to do opera and told her if she were to do it professionally, she couldn't talk loudly or shout or stay up late or have drugs and alcohol, and so she started smoking as a way to spite them. (it is kind of funny because early in her career, you can see her talk super quietly anyways in interveiws and preserver her voice when not singing)

  • @nizarwelch7871

Yeah i know that but that means she never started she just ran out the door as soon as she found out that she can't smoke, drink or stay out late so basically she never had any professional classical training. however, she has already said that the first time she learnt reading music and recognizing notes and and vocal techniques and registers was during her second album(Ceremonials) era. Currently i think she is well educated about music which is quite obvious from her singing improvement.

Check out her vocals on their cover of fleetwood macs the chain at glastonbury. A real career recking performance. If you are a real voice instructor i dare you to critique her performance there.
