Demi wrote “Anyone” four days before she suffered an overdose in 2018. She told a reporter “I wish I could go back in time and help that version of myself,”. This was her first time on stage since then. This performance was the same day Kobe Bryant's helicopter crashed killing him, one of his daughters and 7 other people including another parent and child. He was a very beloved member of the LA community so this also made it hard. I'm not even a sports fan and I was shocked. I can't imagine what it was like to live in the community where he was so active.

I’ve never really been a fan of pop music or Demi as an artist... but gained a whole lot of respect and empathy for her based on this performance. This is the type of thing that resonates and lasts. Hopefully she can stay in a positive track in her life and continue to use music as a healthy outlet for herself and for others who listen to it.

I don’t respect her for almost dying, stooge. I respect artists who have a life experience or vulnerable moment that is extremely personal and painful and then share it with the world. Baring their soul. It takes great strength and courage to share that. Certainly much more meaningful and impactful than most of the bubble gum clown show that fills pop charts.

And before you try to dismiss my opinion with passive aggressive sarcasm, addiction and self destruction courses through my family. I’ve been impacted by relatives trying to commit suicide. I’ve been impacted by family members overdosing. I’ve been through picking up the pieces. So yeah, it might resonate with me more than others that she’s picking herself up. Not only helping herself, but reaching and helping others just by being brave enough to share her experience. Especially one that a lot of artists who go through similar things, hide from it, are too embarrassed by the events and just try to seeep it under the rug.

Always liked her singing, very emotional. That being said, most emotionally charged songs are about fighting or recovering from substances, or lost love. That’s probably the saddest thing. Then again, she sings about uncertainty, awkwardness, and being relevant, to put it poorly. I really don’t know what I’m talking about, so thanks for reading this 😉

Great Demi reaction, Beth!!! One of the most emotional performances I've ever heard! Would you please react to 15-year old Courtney Hadwin? You may remember her big moment on America's Got Talent 2 years ago when she was 13 years old and her amazing audition amassed over 56 million views!!! A few months ago, she released 4 new covers and they've quickly picked up over 1 million, a couple over 3 million views. She sings with so much emotion and passion, and her rock n roll rasp is breathtaking!!! I'd suggest this cover of Lewis Capaldi's Someone You Loved - kzread.info/dash/bejne/l4Ztt9qco827g7A.html THANK YOU!!!!!!
