She is an *excellent* vocalist from the bottom to the top! I would suggest exploring and reacting more to her best vocals. The girl has been accused of possesing ‘bland tone’ and other subjective criticism without knowing how she worked hard and mastered her craft just to be able to sing proficiently out of million mediocre vocalists topping the mainstream right now. I would always hold on to the word “hardwork beats talent” and she is the best example for that.

She has both. Rather than relying on raw talents alone, she nurtured her raw vocal talent and perfected technique. She the shinning example of nurtured raw talent.

Beyonce is talented, but saying she's the vocalist of the decade is stretching it. For one, I would pick Jennifer Hudson's voice over Beyonce's any day. Just remember being the most popular and socially acceptable doesn't make you the most talented.

It is the highest designation given by vocal experts to the lakes of Mariah Carey and Whitney Houston in the prior century. Jennifer Hudson is loud and a powerhouse, but she does not have flawless technique like Beyoncé. She is not a better vocalist.

Simply perfect what you said about her and the relationship between her beauty/attractiveness and her work as a musician. I never found the correct words to put it. For me her talent is out of this world, because I literally never saw one single thing I'd call a mistake, it's like she's literally perfect with her voice hahah I'm sure there are mistakes somewhere, but not even Ken saw any of it in this video hahah. I wouldn't say I'm a massive fan of her songs, but I can't not see her great talent.

Beyonce herself as well as Destiny's Child are known to perform "The Star-spangled Banner" well. Fewer people know that "Ave Maria" was done well too by Floor Jansen with Marco Hietala who is Nightwish's bassist and back vocalist. His singing of Nightwish's songs though is influenced by Ronnie James Rio. IMHO it will be good to react to that "Ave Maria" too. And maybe by Luciano Pavarotti with Dolores O'Riordan.

It’s a stunning update with a mature sophisticated tone that has aged like fine wine Nothing overdone ❤

This view may be slightly controversial. But I think that this version seems to be a more faithful representation to the original. The other versions seem to miss the point where true comfort comes from. Jesus Rocks as the frontman, Paul provides the backbone on drums, John lays a solid grounding on bass, Peter keeps the rhythm on lead guitar and Mary provides the backing vocals.

It's odd that you said "Let's dive right in."...because it reminded me of the words in the song "Perfect". Then you started playing "Ave Maria" and I was stunned by how much Beyonce's "version" of Ave Marie, sounds SO much like " Perfect", by Ed Sheeran. This was the very first time I had heard Beyonce's "version". Just wondering...did you notice how much this sounds like "Perfect"? Check out Karen Carpenter's version of this song.That version is more difficult to sing.Beyonce does a good version of this one,but the other version of Ava Maria,not to many artist can sing it.Karen's contralto voice hits it out of the park!

That’s sad because it’s not her best live performance of this song AT ALL, you should ask the beyhive what to react to when it comes to Beyoncé, you’ll realise she’s one the best if not the best vocalist of all times.

I love how she sings this but don't go all high notes like some other singers. It often gets too much. Loved your "tight pants" notes too. That's *really* high for a guy...

KEN TAMPLIN, There's no doubt Beyonce can sing, but THIS kind of singing is NOT her forte. I'm no expert, but she could have "carried" the notes just a little more. As for the song, I thought that given the title and the occasion, she was singing the hymn, "Ave Maria", praising the Mother of Christ. (Hail Mary) Like the great Karen Carpenter did. But it's really a love song about her and a man with "Ave Maria" thrown in here and there. It's like if I sang "Saving all my love for you" and then added The Lord's Prayer. Both are fine on their own, but not together.
