Vocal Coach Reacts To Beyonce And Dixie Chicks | Daddy Lessons | Live | Ken Tamplin
The Dixie Chicks and Beyonce sounds like a very unique collaboration but the artists came together for a highly entertaining performance of "Daddy Lessons" in today's reaction.
The country group first experienced commercial success in 1998 with the release of their debut album under Sony Music. It sold 12 million copies making them the best selling country group or duo in country music history.
The band has gone on to win 13 Grammys and has sold over 27.5 million albums, making them the top selling all-female band and biggest selling country group in the US.
They'll be joining Beyonce in a performance of her song "Daddy Lessons" which she released off her sixth studio album. The song has peaked at 41 on the Billboard Hot 100.
I'm curious to hear what you all thought of their collaboration and I hope you enjoy the video!

Country might be seen as white music, but it actually derives from black music. This song is Beyonces, and the Chicks covered it on tour. This 2016 CMA performance was controversial because a) it acknowledges the black history of country music, esp with the Chicks acting as backing singers b) the Chicks were ostracised by many in the country world for criticising the Iraq war. The video is highly edited as certain ignorant wazzocks walked out...poor babies!

I love that The Chicks all wore black as a sign they know who the star is. They only did this on a country music awards show just to play with Beyoncé and have them for it. That’s what Natalie said in a IG post. But yes, I’m happy they got to show what they greatest selling female “banned” band can do and still do.

When I first watched live I felt the camera work was bad. It was exciting to have the Dixie Chicks, but they weren’t needed. I think she had them for political reasons since they were kind of black balled after the Bush thing. Beyoncé tends to do things for different reasons.

Mixing is a really interesting subject, but it's something very hard to do hahah It's interesting Ken mentioned about seeing through the mix, cause sometimes I feel like I actually don't only hear songs, but almost see structures in my mind, not literally, but I don't feel like I'm only listening to them. I wouldn't call it synesthesia because it doesn't seem it's the case, but this makes me feel like once I can see it, I could make similar music. Maybe that's why I love classical music and very old songs, because they trick me into not being able to do it that easy hahah so the only thing that remains is the magic imagery they intended to create, or at least what I get from them. When I listen to Bach, all the notes feel so precisely in harmony with each other(as if they were precisely the exact and only notes capable of being there)that it feels organic, and that amazes me. It almost feels like it's not man-made, it feels totally divine. A good example is the song Sarabande from the suite 2 for flute. At the same time it feels stunning and organic it also feels extremely clever and technical. But since it's music, it could all be only my experience and other people could have different ones. The more I feel what music is the more I'm sure it always existed even before mankind was created. It certainly has a way deeper meaning than just entertaining or bringing emotions to people, I believe when truthful music happens, something beyond these things also happens.

Why are you so surprised at such music 🎶 collaborations, particularly when different genres meld, the permutations go through the stratosphere, from Lionel Richie and Kenny Rogers to Tim McGraw and Nelly, you know the kicker is its nothing new, music is supposed to be universal, all-encompassing and uniting.

I think you haven't done any reaction to Slipknot. You know, Corey is an amazing singer and he is down-to-earth guy like Dave Grohl, I guess. Oh ya, we can also compare how Corey sings as Slipknot member and as Stone Sour member. That would be interesting!

Could you react to Matt Corby? Either Miracle love-(live at Manchester cathedral) or Brother-(acoustic session) would be fantastic. Dudes got some of the best vocals. Out of the two, I think Miracle Love would be the better choice. His vocal chops in that song are fantastic.
