Every experience in life is juxtaposed against prior experiences. You cannot experience joy unless you have experienced sadness, and vice versa. All emotions are filtered through the endocrine system. That is just a fact. Experience alters brain chemistry. We as beings are not our bodies but, we experience and interact with the physical universe via our bodies. Someone who is empathetic is someone who has learned more from the opportunities/lessons they are presented with.

She was 19 when this performance was recorded. It's her original song, which she wrote at age 11 (!). The Runaway MV is just going viral on yt, 6 years after release. having currently 175 Million views on yt, and counting. She writes lyrics and music, plays the piano and dances, produces and arranges. She has a core of people around her which help but she always has the last word, even with the record company. She is a one of kind young women, intensly talented and with a uniq and highly addictive personality. She's best in live performances. Also her covers are legendary. I can also recommend to watch documentaries about her and interviews with her. Searching through yt, you easily will find all the clips, especially those recommended by lots of other commenters.

She writes and composes all of her own music - and she has since she was 8. The arrangement of this specific song was co-written with Magnus Åaserud Skylstad - she basically described what she wanted the song to sound like, and he wrote down suggestions and played it until the song sounded the way she wanted to. She wrote it when she was 11, but the arrangement was done when she was 13. Billie Eilish actually said in an interview that this was the song that inspired her to be a singer.

The shoe thing with Aurora is more because she is more comfortable without them. She is a dancers and a Child of nature. Dance is the only formal training she has had. Another Norwegian original talent. Must be something in the water there. Aurora is unapologetically original. Nothing like her. Self taught. Non-musical parents. Extremely creative and intelligent. If music didn’t work out she figured she’d just be a physicist. I really love, Exist For Love. But it’s not her typical offering. Most of very stuff is very, very DEEP and can get a little dark. She does list Enya as an influence. And that is probably the only artist one might find a comparison to

As others have said, she's from Norway and she's 24 now (25 next month), so she was around 18 at this time. I won't throw a recommendation out there because I love everything she's done, but I'm sure others will throw suggestions out there. Thanks for the AURORA reaction; I'm looking forward to more! She's exceptional in so many ways, and this song (one of her earliest) barely scratches the surface IMO, as good as it is.

Good guesses! She's Norwegian, where all the best young female singers are from, apparently. She's not Irish but she has that lilt. There’s a common ancient spirituality in that Northern European culture. She is 24, and what she does is all her. And, “home” just might be heaven, by the way.

She is from " Lysefjorden" ( The fjord of lights) in Norway. She writes her own music. She is a genius. She is amazing. Her fans are called "warriors and weirdoes". She is an amazing live performer. Many of Aurora's performances on youtube are shockingly good. Can't wait to see what you think of the music video of The Seed and It Happened Quiet live at the Current. Not the same place. Angelina is from Oslo the capital on the east side of Norway and Aurora is from the west coast of Norway right outside Bergen a place called Os.

Aurora is such blessed human being. I adore all of her music and it is so difficult to pick any to focus on, but I have such a love for 'Apple Tree' and 'The River'. They just invoke such a feeling for me.

She's a literal genius.

Loved watching this amazing raw and pleasant reaction to Aurora. 🥰 The first video I saw of her ever was, "It Happened Quiet" LIVE at The Current. I still get goosebumps when I watch it and return to it often. Her skill, message, and ability to create original and out of this word music is well beyond her years and oh so inspiring.

She is a very spiritually gifted soul. She is one of my favorite artist.

Highly, highly recommend "It Happened Quiet" from her. The version she did Live at The Current is especially good.

What is crazy is how much better she's gotten in the last 7 years, she doesn't miss at all in live performances the last so many times i've heard her...you can hear a slight difference between this and studio here...but listen to her now and there's nothing between perfect studio sound and her live performance. This is a Journey you've Just Begun.... I'm a 50 year old 80's Metal Head.... I found her (or she found me) here on KZread about 10 months ago..... I've been enthralled and entranced ever since! Thanks for the reaction! If you keep going down this Rabbit Hole... It's my opinion, you should continue to do her live stuff.... To watch her completes this magical package.....

I never realized until recently that Aurora is not a well known artist. I remember listening to her as a kid. I thought everyone just knew who she was, because she's so good. But I am so incredibly happy that she's blowing up now.

Great reaction. Definitely hoping you do more of her songs. She's wonderful. Most of her songs are original, but she does have a few covers, mostly recorded at different radio stations. The ones recorded at NRK's radio stations, her and the band went in blind and had less then an hour to re-arrange and learn the songs.

I barely heard this song the other day and I stumbled onto this and thought well I’ll watch the whole thing for myself also

This made me cry....almost instantly after she started singing...weird. beautiful voice.

She also sang with a group called Wardruna, the song is called Helvegen, you can feel how powerful that song is. You should check out their live version. It's a traditional Norwegian death song, I think the band plays on traditional Norwegian instruments as well. A truly powerful song made more so with Aurora's voice added to it, amazing.

It’s refreshing to hear young singers with simpler music, more originals.

When I first heard Aurora I too thought Irish, but then found out she was Norwegian. I realized too that Norway is just across the water from Ireland, so I could see how the historical folk sounds could be related. Please bring more Aurora. Her performances from "Live at Nidarosdomen" are some of the best. The acoustics of the venue combined with the orchestra and her voice are magical.

Well congratz entering the AURORA-verse, she wrote this song at age 11. She writes and coproduces most of her songs herself whilst playing WITH her piano ;) She has a couple of extremely well executed covers. You've now dicovered 2 wonderful Norwegian singers, both starting and ending w "A", both humble and extremely talented, both very focused on bringing good energy to the world. Both so unique and total polar oposite. ANGELina sings decades beyond her age. AURORA is always taken for being much younger than she is. (at this performance she was 19) Looking forward to more.

She looks super young, so I get why you thought she was younger than she actually was. I'd highly recommend ...honestly MOST of her songs, but some of my absolute favourites are: - The Seed (I think the official music video hits best as there's a lot of very intentional imagery and messaging within it) - Queendom (Again, official music video with its visuals is stunning) - Churchyard (love her live performance of this live on KEXP) - Murder Song (5, 4, 3, 2, 1) - she performs a few versions of this and my favourite is her Nobel Peace Prize performance, but the music video is great, too. - Warrior - The River - Running with the Wolves She also did a session Live at The Current which is 1000% worth checking out for that sort of live session, but sans audience feel.
