But then i remember I am of French, Swiss French, Irish, and Scottish heritage…in the genes? I used to sit in the tops of the trees when I was 6, and make up my own songs I would sing very softly…not wanting to interrupt the sounds of nature too loudly…I still do it as I walk through my garden in the morning with my 5 cats and two dogs…listening to all the birds ❤️…I went to an international school for a while while my father worked in the Middle East…I met people from all over, but my favorite friends were always my sweet and gentle Swedish and Norwegian friends, Jessica and Elizabeth ❤️

About crossing the line into becoming too emotional: What about Kelly Clarkson breaking down singing Piece by Piece? kzread.info/dash/bejne/nYmcuJJuqZSxiNY.html It was a dramatic moment on national television that produced a groundswell of sympathetic reactions because it was spontaneous and genuine. So, when Aurora's voice breaks or her emotion pours forth in spasms of tortured movements or even in finger-waving anger (It Happened Quiet), it's because she gets lost in the story telling or is reliving her experiences, and the audiences feel even more deeply drawn into the world not repulsed by it because it's real and it's one of the reasons they come to see her.

You as an artist isn't important anymore. It's all about the song and she is just a tool, a vessel to the song. It comes to her from somewhere and goes through her out to us all. That's why she is so in the moment. Be safe Björn

Great reaction, completely agree with all your points! She's in her own world, you see that she needs a few seconds after the song to 'land' again. And thinking she wrote this when she was so young, and also, she was 19 at this performance! Murder song in the same concert is also amazing, I recommend to see that as well, if not do a reaction...?

I saw her in concert recently and after following her for a while you can just tell how she’s grown and even improved. When she sang this song, her lower range dipped lower than you can hear on any of her recordings of this song. It was chilling and beautiful.

Great reaction. For many of us there is no greater human than Aurora. And we love watching reactors get beguiled by her captivating performances. " Souless Creatures " from Bergen 2020 is an incredibly haunting and beautiful song done with an orchestra. She has learned to channel her pure and raw energy into graceful dance. You will be enchanted once again.

The thing you call falsetto flip is from norwegian folk music. An old song technique called Stev. We don't really have a word for it, som call it "krull". It reminds of the riffs and rolls you find in RnB.

She’s amazing, it’s so inspiring to see people like her perform without any superficiality. Some people don’t understand why she’s showing a lot of emotions with her movements, and it’s understandable because it’s not common. We don’t meet oversensitive people like her or me everyday, but at this right moment she’s just herself, free and she knows perfectly how society works and all the rules: to behave well, to make the "good manners" around others you know. At this right moment she just decided to be herself with no limits, she puts freedom first because if not she would feel like she was in a cage and i think it’s wonderful and beautiful to be who you really are in front of a crowd. Even though it can be special i think it’s what’s makes her brave. I have so much respect for her because of that. Thank you for this video, it was really interesting :)

I think when watching an Aurora video and doing a reaction, NEVER say "I'll stop pausing", because most of us would say she's too good not to stop and appreciate. I never get mad at a creator pausing for her! 🤣💕

Murder Song from the same concert is a great performance too and also written when she was so young. Aurora wrote this song after reading about a "murder" in the paper near her homeland. A man killed his wife / girlfriend out of love. She was seriously ill and suffered more every day. He released her from suffering. The song is sung from the perspective of the woman's ghost. She also makes it clear that she understands her husband. This is pure love. Maybe it was with the woman's consent (I hope so) or he made the decision on his own. No idea. But it was love. And this is her darkest Song. You will only find this explanation of this song in one interview with her. It's not written anywhere else. And usually she doesn't explain her songs that specifically either, because she wants everyone to find their own story in them. This way songs stay interesting longer. That's why I also believe that this explanation was just an accident. It was also just a brief side note on a question asked, by the way. She usually only says to the song it is a true tragic love story that doesn't end well.

Hey Ken, good to have you back with your reflections and input. Yes indeed Aurora is such a delight to watch and listen, she takes you somwhere else when she sings and performs, she is so intense and expressive. Definitely a very special soul, and she's been doing this for me for the last ive years and I know I'm not the only one in this very gratifying experience, with all this Love and Magic she shares with us. She is caring and concerned and seeking for the best in us, always reminding us how beautiul it is to be humans and how we shouldn't forget how to treat each oursleves and others, with with respect and rkindness, and of course, Mother Earth as well. Yes she is unique and a very wise and gifted young lady. The Viking Fairy Queen lives among us...we're so lucky

An amazing thing seeing her live is watching her go from another world, a sort of trance, during her singing, into a state of vulnerability for a moment and THEN IMMEDIATELY into a sense of the community of the concert, a vocal concern for her audience where she’ll ask if people need water or if they can hear ok. To be that emotionally self-focused and contained to totally open to humanity in a few seconds just shows her incredible emotional range.

She is an amazing woman. Her music is broadsweeping, and seems to be for everyone, yet when you listen, the songs are just for you and they feel so intimate. Her tone and clarity is amazing. When she hits those high notes, she makes it look super easy. The lyrics of her songs are also fantastic and they make you think. I fall in love every time I hear her.

Ken, Thanks, I love your reviews, a big fan. You are honest, knowledgeable, personable, and a lot of fun to watch when all kinds of artists make you head explode. Aurora has referred to herself when she was young as being autistic . In my opinion, it is from that place for her that she exudes her most fabulous attributes; Her remarkable tone and singing technique, emotive dancing, conducting, seeing and singing in color, withdrawing deeply into the song, purity of tone and hauntingly beautiful harmonies, both writing and simply telling it like it is in black-and-white with a remarkable tenderness. This is what whisks us all away on the her journey. There seems to be nothing false about her. Her many available online interviews are very revealing about how matter-of-fact she is. There is also the 50 minute Haik Concert video that shows us who she really is. Aside from her own works, it is really important to see her remarkable covers. The Beatles, Leonard Cohen, Bowie, Nat king Cole, Massive Attack, Imagine Dragons, Oasis, Howard Blake, Bob Dylan, Ariana Grande, Naughty Boy, The Weeknd, Betty Noyes, Miley Cyrus, Alanis Morisette , and John Farnum. She transforms them all into her own beautiful version like the artist she is. Thanks again and enjoy this journey.
