She said the song choice was completely random, she found it at night while she couldnt sleep. Her audition created a viral shockwave. Thinking of her humble character I feel its very typical Angie to attribute the success to the song, not herself. We'll never know if another song would have had the same effect, but I suppose it's not as unlikely as she assumed in that statement.

Angelina was introduced from the cradle to classic jazz by her grandmother Mery Zamani, an accomplished artist from Iran. At 18 months, Angelina was videoed singing Whitney Houston with a microphone. She delivered two Billie Holiday tunes at Norway's Got Talent in 2014 when she was 7. However Angelina has listened to various artists and genres on You Tube and challenged herself to sing covers of them all. She seems to be eclectic or "Renaissance" in her musical outlook. Glad to make it more confusing for you.

Angelina had many influences growing up. Billie Holiday is probably the biggest as well as many other 'classic' singers like Ella Fitzgerald, Frank Sinatra, Dinah Washington. But she also has influences from some more modern singers as well. Based on the number of covers she has done of Adele songs, I would have to say that she is a big influence. Her original song "shield" could easily be mistaken for an Adele song. Amy Winehouse is another more modern singer that has had some obvious influence in some of her style choices. I imagine there will be many kids in the future saying that their big influence was Angelina Jordan.

Thank you for coming back to Angelina for your fourth reaction to her. I'll expand upon the comments of Daniel Woo and list the performers she has covered by either singing one of their originals or a cover song by them which became popular. She has covered songs by: Adele, Alan Walker, Amy Winehgouse, Andy Williams, Aretha Franklin, Avicii, Bill Wither, Billie Holiday, Bing Crosby, Baby FuzZ, Bobby Vinton, Charles Aznavour, Chris Isaac, Christina Aguilera. Dean Martin, Demis Roussos, Dinah Washington, Dolly Parton, Doris Day, Dusty Springfield, Ed Sheeran, Edith Piaf,Ella Fitzgerald, Elton John, Elvis Presley, Ethel Merman, Etta James, Frank Sinatra, Frankie Valli, Freddy Mercury, Gene Autry, Gloria Gaynor, Halsey, Harry Belafonte, Jackson 5, James Brown, Jim Reeves, Jimmie Boyd, John Legend, Josh Groban, Judy Garland, Julia Michaels, Julie London, Lana del Ray, Lou Rawls, Louis Armstrong, Mamas & Papas, Mariah Carey, Michael Jackson, Miley Cyrus, Minnie Ripperton, Nancy Sinatra, Nancy Wilson, Nancy Wilson, Nina Simone, Patsy Cline, Perry Como, Queen, Ray Charles, Righteous Brothers, Rihanna, Roberta Flack, Robyn, Sam Smith, Screamin' Jay Hawkins, Selena Gomez, Shaed, Shirley Bassey, Sia, The Beatles, Tom Jones, Vaughn Monroe, and Whitney Houston. In total, she has covered some 81 singers and performed 111 different songs in many genres. Some of these songs have been sung on several occasions. Some of them have just been in a rehearsal, but the majority have been released to KZread These have been performed in her home studio or live before an audience. To put it into perspective, she first appeared in public at the age of 7. Her last performance was at the age of 14. So she has sung about 16 songs by 11 different singers for each year of her singing career.

Great reaction! AJA said recently that without the inspiration found from listening to Billy Holiday in a very young age, the Angelina Jordan we know wouldn't have existed. So although she started singing Whitney Houston songs way earlier (filmed at 18 months old), has a soft spot for Amy Whinehouse and several others - Lady Day tops the list.

I wondered how long it was going to be before you reacted to another Angelina Jordan song.... if you go to her KZread channel, you will find more than a hundred songs she has covered, as well as several of her original songs. You really should go look at the variety of songs she has done and start reacting to some of them. There are so many that are considered favorites, from the studio version of "I Put A Spell On You" to her performances more recently (last year) on America's Got Talent. From her performances on Norway's Got Talent (she won show at 7-8 years old) to now, you will find a plethora of songs of differing styles that will allow you to see her progressing talent... it is really fun to see her as she grows up into a little superstar! I think that, if you would start listening/reacting to more of her songs, you will grow to love her as we do and I do hope to see more from you on her in the future.... thanks!

She did covers of so many artists! Mostly in a way that she was close to the voice (even males) and the interpretation, but still with her own spin on it! Biggest influence probably the first ladies of jazz (Billie Holiday, Ella) But you can be remembered by so many singers with her voice! Too many to mention! She has got a very distinctive voice of her own, now!

Tina thank you very much for this wonderful and interesting new reaction. I believe that Angelina's fantastic uniqueness is precisely given by the eclecticity of her musical inspirations as well as, of course, by her fantastic talent. She has absorbed, studied and reworked so many great singers that she has almost become a wonderful human synthesizer, also equipped with a out of the ordinary musical analysis skills, considering also such an early age. ❤️ Truly this is a very sweet and very intense song, dedicated with infinite love to the maternal grandfather who passed away in 2019 and also to all the people who have lost someone they loved, but it's also a song full of hope and love, with beautiful lyrics, above all because written by a girl of only 14 years. Her first release was in November with a sweet version of lyrics and drawings, but this beautiful live version, which finally allows us to see her sing almost a year after her last public performance at AGTC, is priceless! 🤗 ❤️

It was nice to hear the technical analysis, but in the end it was just a superb performance, one to listen to over and over. Albert listed all the vocal influences, but Billie Holiday was by far the most important. Her early discovery , found by listening to a multitude of singers on KZread, was Billie Holiday (gloomy Sunday), later her mother took her music shopping and she browsed through the vinyl albums, selecting Lady in Satin by Billie Holiday. She took home the CD, which was a good option, as she would have worn out the record by the number of times she listened. In the second round of NGT she sang I'm a Fool to Want You, in the final she sang Summertime, the style being a blend of the smooth (young) Ella Fitzgerald and the more earthy style of Louis Armstrong , quite something for an 8 year old. In her first big concert at 8 yrs she sang the Dinah Washington song. Summertime kzread.info/dash/bejne/Zmhn0qSMoNubcpc.html What a difference a day makes kzread.info/dash/bejne/jIeayaWCd8edm5c.html The next strong influence was Amy Winehouse - the vowels I'm told.... Surprisingly, Elvis (older version), perhaps the way he made the song to be a story.....

As has been said Angelina was inspired by many and can seemingly absorb the vocal elements of and be able to approximate the style of nearly any singer. Thankfully, the influence she does not embrace is the willingness (as do many in modern music) to tear down with her influence (as with destructive/pointless lyrics, attitudes, or dress). I pray she stands strong and continues to build up with her artistry, to go higher. This song is an example of a serious and timely message from a serious artist regardless of age. She is a role model to us all and certainly to young girls. May that continue. Please react to AJ on "A Man's World", "Stay", "I'd Rather Go Blind", or "Shield"(her own original song).

Not pre-recorded at all in the sense that she wasn't lip-syncing but there were insert edits of the visuals from different takes added in post-production to give the different camera angles. Fairly standard stuff if there's just the one camera and sometimes even in multi- camera set-ups.

And each one was an exploration of a great song and a great singer. From Adele to Queen to Etta James. You might want to do her version of Lana del Rey's Born to Die or Adele's When We Young. Her cover of Rihanna's Stay is compelling. Her tribute to her friend Avicii, Wake Me Up, is moving and reveals something about both of them. A couple you might just listen to on the side are her take on Happier (the most grownup breakup song I know) and I'd Rather Go Blind.

For quite a while I have held the belief that, if you heard something in her vocals, then it was what she wanted you to hear. Hopefully, you will continue watching more Angelina performances (as you just did again) and see whether you ultimately come to the same conclusion.

The reason we can be "never alone" is that we are created in the image of God. Jesus restored our relationship with God when He died for our sins, was buried, and rose from the dead three days later. Because God loves us so much, He sent us His Son. This is why we are never alone. God is with all who trust in Him. God is the lover of your soul, who put the information of all you would be in a cell the size of a period at the end of a sentence. God put us in our families, and sometimes it's hard. But, it was hard for Jesus as well. And no one loves you more than God. We can trust Him, and live with Him forever. We can learn more about Jesus in God's Word. I especially like the book of John.

No doubt it's a lovely song but this is not Angelina shining like a diamond !Those stupid sound engineers have been at work! They turn a diamond into a piece of glass.Even the video is too much ... too clean, too polish! nitwit! AJ don't need that ! maybe some bad singers but her NO!...Just do this ,compare " I put a spell on you "(at 9) at this recording ...I put... pure gold,no stupid tricks ...way,way above ! Hope that she will realise that she is not on the right path with this label . .. to make big money probably..but not to make Art at the level she used to do...the level of Billie ,Ella etc. ...that will be so sad.
