In the video her younger self was played by her sister Juliette and her grandfather by her uncle/manager Michael Astar. Pictures of her paternal and maternal grandfathers were on the wall in the hall early in the video. They both died in the last couple of years.

Angelina's desperate cries trying to span the million miles between her and her departed beloved grandpa are what finally broke me down to cry. I was finally able to properly grieve the loss of 5 loved ones over the most recent 4 years. I am in such a better place thanks to Angelina.

Angelina is the Boss, she writes, rewrites, arranges the music, and every other aspect of all the songs she sings, even some of the songs which she didn’t write herself she had a strong presence in the final product. And given the association with Christie at Republic Records, you can see this relationship will continue, even though he is a 2x Grammy wining producer, he still allows her to set the tone and direction. This is how we know that Republic Records is totally committed to their relationship with Angelina which will allow her to be the artist that is Angelina Jordan!

She wrote the lyrics and performed the song at 14 yo, not sure how much she had to do with the music. Song is dedicated to her Grandfather who passed not long before. She dedicated another song "Always On My Mind" at 12 yo to her other Grandfather. The pictures on the wall are of both Grandfathers. She said the song is for anyone who has recently experienced a loss. This song was overheard by a record exec at Republic Records and immediately wanted to sign her. So this is the first song released under RR (UMG). If you want to hear her high noted you should listen to "I Have Nothing" by Whitney at 12/13 yo. You two are awesome!!!

It is very much her own song .. she wrote it about her grandpa, who died a couple of years ago. There are 3 versions of this song out .. all brilliant and worth seeing. The first is an art version .. with totally amazing art done by her grandmother, Mery, who is the person who played jazz for her as a baby and Angelina was solidly hooked at two years old! Her grandmother is a very well known artist in her own right. She is also who taped all the fabulous videos we've seen thru her life. I really love hearing and watching the second video which is a live studio version and the most emotional for me. All 3 are definitely worth watching. 7tb Heaven is her latest original .. just this year. Fantastic live studio version and you really get to hear her voice NOW. Shield is a very special original also, from a few years back. Also, if you haven't seen her magnificent Heal the World you must .. brings MJ's spirit right back. That just came out a couple of days ago.

Are you certain that those are Angelina's words? Please can you post the source of that remark? I ask because her other grandfather died in 2018, and she paid tribute to him in her video "Always on my mind". She also grieved the deaths of two friends - Avicii and Ari Behn - and one of her idols, Aretha Franklin and in each case acknowledged her grief in a video. To me, it appears completely out of character for her to use the words you have written, unless of course she wrote them before any of the deaths mentioned..

This is an original song by Angelina. What I mean by that is she wrote the lyrics, did the arrangement, and sang the song. She actually sketched the flashback scenes of her and her grandfather in her journal (you can see it in the video). They were played by her little sister and uncle. This is a great video and tribute to her grandfather. the two pictures of her grandfathers on the wall, her grandfather's house the shoes, the flashbacks, looking up at the Moon singing to him, holding his shirt to her chest and her words flowing out of her journal to the heavens. She is amazing. Another song that brought tears to my eyes.

I been waiting for ya to do this.. This was *written by Angelina* when she lost her grandfather in 2019 wich she was close to. She ws 13 and wrote this.!? And this is not even her first language....! This is also the first song she published with her record label Republic... Although i wished you would do the studio recording or the one where her grandmother did the art for the video i guess this will do.. She has a few other songs that she wrote herself as well as 7th heaven ans shield.. And their really good and worth reacting to.

You have made the right choice of the video, the studio version is just Angelina singing at the mike, this video shows how she felt about her grandfather. Angelina has a very close and loving family this was her 1st major loss of someone she deeply loved.

It would be great if you could react to two songs that are not covers, because their authors asked to Angelina to interpret them: • “Song for A” (at age 13). It is the only song on Nico Cartosio's album “Melting” that includes vocalization by a singer; the others are merely instrumental. Cartosio wrote this song specifically for Angelina. This is her first original song that she recorded under the Republic record label. There is a studio version of this song... During the recording of the studio version she was in tears while recording it.

For a Million Miles, you have to watch the studio version.. Guarantee tears, as you feel and can see her pain singing it.

It is her own song, she wrote it for her grandfather .. but when it came out it was the beginning of covid and we were all home and she dedicated it to anyone who has lost a loved one. Each one is as good as the next but they are all very different. The common thread though is that they are all inspirational and send very personal messages. What is life? Her very first original that she wrote at age 11. She also did the music for this as well as the vocals. A whole new level of expertise. This is beautiful. There are both a lyric video and a live acoustic. I love the live version but the video will show you the words. Oslo.. about her home City in Norway and longing for it as she is about to leave for Los Angeles. Shield.. indoor concert version. It is about the protection she gets from her family from the industry. She's only 12 while singing but forsounds 25! 7th Heaven., The newest original about always having hope and never giving up. In terms of her belting, she has done it quite a few times in her covers. Just a couple of examples. It's a man's world... She did a demo at 10 years old called I’m still holding out for your that was never released. Until someone leaked it after the writer released his version. She smashed it. Her mom would not allow it’s release because of subject matter. He should let her release it now. It would be the biggest song in the world. By far the best song she ever sang. Check it out y’all.

Pretty sure that’s her grandpa’s shirt at the end..her anguished cry breaks me every time..as a massive eye opener can I recommend her live version of “It’s A Man’s World”..I’m sure it will put to bed any thoughts you may have about her power voice..or perhaps Feelin Good ..again the outdoor version..Show Must Go On Too 😂
