People like to analyze his vocal technique but what dont talk about is the spirit of the singer. The mind, heart and creativity behind the instrument. Its what really separates good singers from so so singers. You can have a steinway...but not all performers will play it so beautifully.

I am 81 and I've probably listened to every song (except country) ever written and sung by the best there ever was.. and I can honestly say "SOS" by Dimash Qudaibergen is my all time favorite. He is a prophet.. which you may soon discover. Thank you! If you're looking for parameters and boundaries with Dimash's voice.. or with Dimash himself.. it's simple.. there aren't any. He can sing and do anything that has to do with show business.. with one big difference.. he sings with pomp and grandeur and most times there is a message with his song. He is like a book of adventures.. turn the page and he will take you on the next exciting journey. Go with him, stay with him and love him.. for his future is written in the stars. Dimash is a musical beast in lambs clothing possessed by an ancient alien culture whose beam from their mother ship grabs you and hurls you into space to witness his incredible journey. He opened the door to the universe, they welcomed him, he stepped inside and saw revelations of another world, a better world for us. And so he writes, he creates, he sings his healing music to us, he gives us hope for the future and he loves everyone. But most of all, he gives back to from where he came. They are watching him with awe and approval, for he has become their champion.. and ours too. Thank you Dimash.. we love you dearly. The world was awakened to Dimash's beautiful art in 2017 with this song "SOS", which has become his trademark. He has perfected a technique which allows him to sing in baritone.. almost base.. tenor.. counter tenor.. soprano.. falsetto.. head voice and whistle tones.. with astonishing and undetectable transition. His delivery and pitch are pure perfection. He is undoubtedly the best singer this world has ever known.. follow him.. and you will soon see why. The song "SOS" is from the Canadian-French cyberpunk rock opera "Starmania" written in 1976 with music by Michel Berger and book and lyrics by Luc Plamondon.. sung by Dimash in French. The song reflects feelings of despair and being depressed with life and refers to the singer wanting to be a bird to see the world from above. Some believe that the lyrics at the end, "Sleep child.. sleep," refer to 'ending it all.' ..added by Pete Smith. Grégory Lemarchal was a beautiful young French singer who sang "SOS" in the most beautiful way. He tragically died at 23 from cystic fibrosis in 2007 and was considered a national treasure of Canada and France.. and Dimash loved him as well. And after all, Grégory's story gave rise to our Prince Dimash. Please give Grégory a listen: kzread.info/dash/bejne/eXuWkrWbZc_cpZc.html Dimash is without question the best singer we have today.. the best.. all the way back through all of antiquity. Every song he sings conjures up moments in my past that have given me grace.. or regret.. but belonging to me alone and as personal and as private to me as only I could possibly know. Dimash is one of a kind.. with the ability to dig deep within my soul to remind me of who I once was.. and who I am now. Once you listen to him sing.. he will never leave you... ever.

Dimash's highest notes in this video are purely in his head (soprano) voice. The highest note he has ever sung in this register is G6. He has used his whistle register to access the 7th & 8th octaves. His highest note ever is D8 in the song "Unforgettable Day" live in concert at Gakku in front of a 155,000 audience.

@@philharris5848 well of course he can go higher than f#6 since he can go to a d8.. that's not the point. Just that high head voice usually goes to f#6, whistle goes from around g6-d7 (it can go lower ofc), but Dimash skips notes from f#6 to d#7 and starts at e7-d8 which is called the hiss register. For some reason he doesn't or can't use the whistle register. Just skips it.

🗣️ 🎶. No. The MAGIC is watching him bewitch and dazzle people like yourself, 11 elderly men in a home as he sings to them with his Mother in a small room, all the cleaning staff in an enormous venue hands atop push brooms, pushing 50 gallon rubbish bins stopped in awe and respect, a 12 month old Italian toddler in a high chair, mouth open, spoon suspended midair, glued to Dimash singing on tv, a 3 week old infant in his mother's arms, trying to turn his head to see the voice on the tv screen and the 4 year old little girl in a ballerina dress, all by herself, dancing to Dimash singing on the big screen tv, carrying on a conversation with him at the same time. THAT is magic. 🎩🪄

BRAZIL - Hello, lovely reaction, Dimash is better than ever.... Show or not, Dimash must show what he can do, he loves music, singing, the stage, imagine having studied more than 20 years, perfecting his talent, working hard and not being able to show this art??? I say this because there are people (haters) who think that Dimash just wants to show off; but yes, he is a professional at what he does, the best, why should a professional abstain, hide his skills? In life, a professional who loves what he does, stands out in any area, precisely by demonstrating what he does. best he knows how to perform, it's not just an exhibition, he stands out for being a rarity, a musical phenomenon, but thanks to his efforts, his family's, who invested and believe in his talent, and which wonderfully comes accompanied by emotion, stage presence, humility , a show man, who interacts with his audience beautifully and loves what he does and receives the support and love from his fans... THE WORLD SHOULD AND DESERVES TO KNOW, HEAR DIMASH'S TALENT...THANKS

The way I found to celebrate the majesty of Dimash's talent was to have written the following about him: If I were to rule the world, I would immediately add, to the universal declaration of human rights, another article (they would become 31) whose wording would next "All human beings have the right, at least once in their lives, to hear Dimash sing". I am a Professor and I believe that I have a special profession that allows me to transform the human heart and consequently the human society. I work with young people and young people need to have good references. I had been looking for someone for a long time, of whom I could speak to the young people I work with, as a good reference. That person should be young, a super talent, a super mega star in the art world and above all, because he is the most important, a good human person. I searched and never found anyone with these characteristics. Until, finally, I found this person and that person is Dimash. I had the opportunity to say this to Dimash, personally, when I was with him in Latvia where I went, coming from Portugal (there are 8000 km round trip), on the 7th of March 2020. With friendship Rui Baptista

If you wish to hear the highest note you have ever heard, then you should watch Dimash's unforgettable day at GAKKU concert. If you are unfamiliar with Dimash, prepare yourself to be amazed. Dimash possesses the most powerful voice on the planet. He was born May 1994 in Kazakhstan, his father being a pop singer and his mother an opera singer. At the age of five, he accompanied his mother to opera practice, whereupon a voice teacher heard his voice and took him under his wings. Dimash is extensively educated in music and is rumoured to have / getting a PhD in Music ; furthermore, he plays several instruments. He is an incredibly talented and smart young man, having performed songs in twelve different languages. Those incredible high notes are almost inconceivable for a male singer. Dimash is also a huge admirer of the late Michael Jackson, the king of pop.

Thank you for the expert reaction, which also revealed your lovely voice! Just one point-- which as someone new to Dimash you could not be expected to know....SOS is--and was, even in this 2021 performance--known as Dimash's "calling card," even though it is not "his" song. He sings it at every concert, interpreting it in various ways, and in fact sang it just last night in a performance in China. Perhaps when he first attempted it in competition and he was very young it could have been called "all for show," given that SOS is known as one of the most difficult songs to master in the French songbook. Lyrically and musically of course it is a stunning reflection upon life and death. In the past several years I am pretty sure--reflecting on life and all his concert experiences, as well as the thousands of comments about how Dimash and this song have changed, enriched, or healed a lot of lives--well, there is a lot more to unpack here than to recognize that Dimash uses a great deal of his range and various singing techniques. None the least being the fact that his friend, Olympic figure skating champion Denis Ten, who skated to SOS , was honored with this song at two of Dimash's concerts after Denis' murder. I think if you would take a look at Dimash's heartbreaking performance of SOS at his London concert, with Denis skating to SOS on the screen behind him, and Dimash barely getting through the song, you will never be able to think of this as one "just for show" in Dimash's repertoire again. He has many songs that showcase several octaves and some that don't, but when asked about his range, he always replies that the reason he sings is to share his emotions with his audience. I hope this gives you some insight into Dimash and SOS. More Dimash, please!

Hi, Freya. Glad that you react to this song. The composition might have been written to "showcase" Dimash's vocal abilities and artistry, however, I think you should rethink your position because if you follow his entire physical presence throughout the performance, it is quite clear that he is not at all even trying to do that. A song that definitely almost, like, demands that "showcasing" from him would be "Opera 2" where he actually does for pure entertainment as well. Nevertheless, and more importantly, I am with you all the way with your analysis and commentary. It's really well done. ❤

Dimash is the best singer in the WORLD and there are no doubts about that, his voice is a prodigy of nature and a genetic marvel since his parents are two glories of singing from Kazakhstan since he was 5 years old, he sings publicly and has more than twenty years of lyrical training and graduated from the university of music, he is a singer, composer, arranger and multi instrumentalist, he plays more than seven musical instruments and sings in more than twelve(12) languages, he is also a great performer and a great artist who lives and feels music He is not an imitator of voices , Dimash has his own style and is one of the forerunners of the "POPera" he also has a very pleasant, HUMBLE and simple personality, easy access, which makes it very easy to follow, he always travels with His family and friends is a very educated person and an example to follow, he has become known for his musical talent not for getting into trouble or scandals, It has a very wide vocal range of approximately 7 octaves ,he is a singer with a wide vocal range very versatile is Baritone, TENOR , Soprano, counter TENOR, mezasoprano, everything at the same time is how to have 5 singers in one, it has a male and female voice, also many resources such as vibrato, "melismas", falsetto, Staccato, whistle tone, reaching a( D8 )live "Outside of Piano"at the concert of Gakku in an unforgettable day, at his young age he continues to improve and grow musically to perfection, he has a good physical presence he measures 191 cm or 6 "3", he is very famous and recognized in Asia and now he is becoming known In Europe and America, ALL their songs are spectacular, it always goes from low to high, soft to spectacular at the end, in my almost half a century of life I never heard so much quality and it is the hope of continuity of the classical genre because all the old tenors have already Almost all of them died and Dimash can sing like them but none of them can sing like Dimash, being a Man he sings better than any Tenor and his female voice is superior to that of any average Soprano, greetings and a hug from USA 🇺🇸 "Dears" Forever ❤️ Sorry for copying and pasting my informative comment in ALL the Video reactions to Dimash what I see but I do it with the intention of sharing information about him and what I think that in the music industry there are many artists who have been successful and have no talent and are bad people and they do not set a good example for the youth, Dimash and his music deserve to triumph in America, Europe and the whole WORLD, do you want to have already read my comment please come by without problem there is always someone who for the first time knows this information and I won't get tired of sharing it with all my friends"Dear" around the world, thanks for reading and for supporting Dimash 🙏🏻S.O.S. While I agree that the original arrangement of this song was "all for show", (he needed to impress some judges in a competion in China), I believe he has changed this version more because he is obsessively creative and perfectionistic.🙄😅 The addition of the stronger rock vibe instrumentally and the emphasis on the lows add impact to the "emotional rollercoaster" theme. Great reaction👍 🥰🥰🥰🇨🇦

This song is a pearl of the French songbook: It is a French-Canadian cyberpunk-rock opera called “Starmania”, written in 1976 by Michel Berger (France) and with lyrics by Luc Plamondon (Canada) and immortalized in the voices of Daniel Balavoine, Diane Dufresne and Gregory Lemarchal. The theme of the song is depression: In the 2021 version, Dimash faithfully and brilliantly presents a sentimental and melancholy interpretation! As the singing decisions follow the original structure of the song, which serves to show the psychological instability of the afflicted character: From the chest voice to the head voice and then to falsetto, the author sought to show a broad need to overcome a moment of despair and the pretense of accepting to reach a higher perspective! Dimash, currently at his concerts, dedicates this song to his friends and acquaintances who have departed this world! Original version - Daniel Belavoine - kzread.info/dash/bejne/a5-O16ahpbfRqKg.html

You should listen to Ogni Pietra for his classical technique or his duet with Placido Domingo performing The Pearl Fishers' Duet or singing with Lara Fabian and Aida Garifullina doing Ti Amo Cosi i think you will enjoy them (he does Dmitri Hvorostovsky's part)

🎼"Mic drop", yes! There are videos of hundreds of performances by him, around two hundred songs. (Yet on your channel all I see other than this one is the previous SOS you mentioned, and Opera 2, which he sang mostly for a laugh and to win another round of the singing competition. Have you seen or missed the dozens of masterpiece performances of other songs more worthy of analysis than SOS?)

Next time you can react to his signature and somehow “compulsory” songs. Here they are those videos with english subtitles, good image and sound: * Dimash - Greshnaya strast (Sinful passion) by A'Studio kzread.info/dash/bejne/iW16zqaGc9KefLg.html * Dimash - Love is like a dream (Alla Pugacheva) kzread.info/dash/bejne/qoB5s9yfobLFnJM.html In these he uses the "simple" version of a few techniques that you´ll see evolving in later songs. As it happens in this S.O.S version 2021: he uses more contemporary techniques than in that of Slaavic Bazaar

This is really not a show off song. This is how he experiences the song. If he really just wanted to show off his range, he could have done *way* more, and he even has a lot more techniques from different styles he could put in to actually make it a show off. Its easy to think its a show off. But his tool kit is far larger than this, and you will see that dimash just has intensity and contrast as a major part of his expression. Also. No whistle tones here. All high hv
