The E8 was done in a studio where the singer was just trying to hit the note in front of a witness from the Guiness Book of Records. He could warm up and make several attempts. Dimash hits an D8 as part of a live performance in front of 150,000 people. Nerves of steel!

@@griefweaver8432 The difference is he has sound engineers and a whole host of timed effects. Also he is simply the best singer in the world. You can see videos of fancameras and see that he is perfect live. He is at a level never seen before. Check out Emi Pelegrino video with her footage of Dimash new york show. In fact in this video the D8 is one of the rare cases where he makes a mistake. In the original arrangement he is supposed to do a G7, but he went for it and the whistle didnt come out (when he is shaking the microphone), so to make up for it he just tried to go as high as he could and the D8 came out. Musically it doesnt even work with the instrumentation, but it is such a feat that this version with the D8 became the most popular.

The crazy thing is not that he "just" hit the D8. He did a glissando and held it for ~5s and even added vibrato to it. Most singers from the whistle-worldrecord can do the whistle for 1-2 seconds, but even up there, Dimash has enough control to use it kinda musically...

Thank you so much!❤ In China, Dimash became known as "the Security killer" - because instead of having to drag his fans away from *him* all the time, they were having to drag *Dimash* away from his beloved Dears!😉😂 He'd spot his moment, then literally jump off the stage and RUN to get closer to the crowd, to be amongst them, shake hands, to interact and have them sing with him - he honestly loves it so much, the joy on his face is unmistakable! You see, Dimash doesn't see himself as anything special, that "stars" are those things in the sky, and he's just ordinary human being who can sing - well, Dimash, I beg to differ... in fact, it's a struggle to think of anyone LESS ordinary than you!😍❤

This whistle note is D8 held for 5 seconds with vibrato. This is the highest note ever sung in a live concert. He has sung many whistle notes in his 7th & 8th Octaves in other live performances, although this is the highest. Because of his incredible range and vocal flexibility, he is able to make the impossible look easy. No other singer in the world could sing this song as Dimash did. For many reasons Dimash is not only the best singer in the world, but he's on another level. No matter how many videos you watch of him, he will always surprise you with something new. As a former singer in a late 1970's anti-disco band (Play That Funky Music was as close as we would get), I love your reactions. He wrote Unforgettable Day as a teenager. In an interview he gave to Emre, a Turkish singer and music coach, Dimash admitted that his vocal cords are longer. He also doesn't measure his range. in the same interview with Emre, he noted it's about emotion, telling the story, noting one of idols, Michael Jackson only had a two to three octave range but was a great singer. Also, when you review Sinful Passion, do the most common version where he comes out in black tux. The song was performed live by the original band that wrote it. two decades earlier. The original singer died. Dimash decided to sing a tribute with the original band members. Dimash reinterpreted what used to be a fairly upbeat song and inserted a funeral cry as a salute to the original singer in the middle of the song. This explains why this version of Sinful Passion is more serious than later versions and explains the look at the end of the guitar player. They were mourning and astonished what had been preserved for the ages.

The most impressive thing about this young man and this composition is that tens of thousands of people across the world, of all languages, sing along with this song and know all the words. I believe Dimash has done more to unite disparate peoples in his only 3 years on the world stage than the UN had done since it's inception. Just my opinion, but this sweet child and his gentle spirit has swept across the entire earth and he is loved by all.

Even on his concertes most of the hard singing songs on pre-record. And this is not his fault. Studios which he works with, contracts, trying to care his voice and many reasins here. I understand. Glad you noticed Dimash's superb breath control. For mere mortals without his 25 octave range, breath control is a goal that, with lots of hard work, can be reached with some reasonable measure of success. It allows those of us with normal vocal cords to emote, at least a little, if not like Dimash. I can do a little bit breathy, a little bit louder or softer, a little bit of vocal distortion. With better breath control, I can do that stuff better. For most of us, that's good enough to get by. Karaoke is not too demanding. BTW: The UHF note was Martian. He was signalling that humans are easy prey.
