Its crazy how talented musicians are just listening to the instrumentations of a song they can easiliy imitate it with their own instrument

Flowers and Goodbye are my absolute faves. I love that she wrote this all on her own and produced all the demos herself. This and Froot are her best work for me

It's so satisfying to hear someone talking about something they KNOW. My God! I love your reactions! The way you dissect every single aspect of the songs is mesmerizing.

i knew that Marina existed but ive never pay attention. For some random and unkowed reason i decided to check out Ancient dreams in a modern land track when it came out and OMG it was amazing so when Venus fly trap came out a few weeks later i watched it and another OMG, obssesed, so im glad. This album its a bop, a masterpiece.

I really do think this is marina’s best album in some time now and you can tell that she 100% wrote the album by herself. Also the ballads did it for me and sequentially i love how the album starts off punchy and goes into slower songs by the end! P.s my favorite track thats been stuck in my head is highly emotional people

I agree 100%, Love+Fear was ok, I liked Karma but the rest wasn’t anything exciting or unique, but Venus Fly Trap and Man’s World could be on Froot or Electra Heart and I love that she’s gone back to her original and experimental sound as that’s why I got into her and loved her.

The production reminded me of her 1st and 3rd albums

I love marina's songwriting, she always has something to say and narrates it so beautifully. The sound in this album is quite reminiscent of her past records but still feels unique and different. Feels like a sister album to Froot.

‘Goodbye’ is my favorite too. It feels very uniquely MARINA.

I just ADORE goodbye.. I started crying when the „Goodbye to the girl that I was, Goodbye to the girl that you lost“ part started

But it's about resurfacing feelings where you're not quite over the relationship before and you're letting it effect your current one.. So... That was the subject matter for that. 😬" Seems like she's moved on from her ex and Weeds makes her feel vulnerable and brings her back to a depressing time in her life which may be why she never performed it.

I discovered her through Savages, which is an amazing song too, but Weeds was my favourite off the album too. It is her best album imo (I do really like Valley of the Dolls and Radioactive tho) and all the songs are great.

My favs are New America, the title track and I love you but I love me more. Marina did a live stream concert for this album already in a desert, the videos are on KZread. You should check them out cause all the songs are incredible live. Edit: Goodbye and Highly Emotional People are also in my top picks. This is definitely my favourite album of hers, it brings together the best parts of previous albums. The alt rock style of TFJ, the attitude of EH and the vocals from FROOT and L+F

Goodbye ended up being my favorite as well! That jazzy vocal melody within the verses is so amazing and that piano jab breaks everything up in such a Marina way.

Love this new album bc it’s really unique and creative like her old albums, don’t get my wrong I loved some of the songs off of Love+Fear like ‘Karma’ but it wasn’t as standout or unique as Froot or Electra Heart that had really powerful and experimental songs so I’m so happy she’s circled back to her true Marina sound.

Nina, Can you react to Guy Sebastian and Johnny Manuel The Voice Australia Finale's Performance? I mean, It's another level of vocals and runs! It would be cool! Btw, I love your channel so much!

When expecting a certain beat and something else happens. . . masters that do this is Rush. Check out Spirit of Radio. The Garden is amazing too and the very last song they made.

The drumbeat in the first song that reminded you of Franz Ferdinand sounds to me very much like Uprising by Muse. All the more since both songs are album openers. That said, I'll most likely never appreciate Muse the way I absolutely adore Marina.

Yes please!! Daddy’s Home is amazing!

I’ve seen so many criticisms of this album saying Marina is being too political and that they liked her before she started singing about politics. And I find this is strange because 1. She’s allowed to be as political as she wants, it’s her music and 2. Her music has always been pretty political. Did these people not listen to Savages or To Be Human. All of Electra Heart was basically a commentary on sexism in pop culture and how women are treated by the entertainment industry.
