This is the third video I've watched of Vivien Leigh today. Such beauty. You can't take my eyes off of her, once you start watching her. This video was very tastefully done. Dean Martin was a nice touch, also... Funny, but although she was a grown woman, she was also very childlike- in a pleasant way. I never had a daughter, but if I had one, I'd wish she was like Vivien, so I could spoil her in every way! Who wouldn't... child or wife!... C. Luciano

So Happy, That at Least She Had One Daughter Who Should be So Very Proud of Her Mom.

She was very beautiful and as handsome as Oliver was I did not think he aged well but was always a good actor it was sad and tragic how life turned out as pair of the most beautiful people I have ever seen. Full if self but Jesus is key we are like flowers that die and fade away. She was one of the most rare of all flowers. Life style and smoking did not help her mental status. They say Oliver was bisexual that must have been a blow to her if it was true. Also she played around a bit herself always wondered if she had sypphilis or some STDs that affected her mind and they didn't know it.

She deserved two academy awards who she won,but perhaps in uk and ireland younger generations don't know who she was

I unreservedy appreciate these rare photos of Vivien Leigh. But the contrast between youth and middle age is unintentionally cruel. She did not age well. The contours of her beautiful face thickened, while Laurence Olivier did not age, he matured. But in her young years, she was exquisite. Until after Anna Karenina. One also has to take into account her unstable mental state, which may have been reflected in her photos.

Unfortunately for Vivien Leigh, she had serious health problems throughout her life. That takes a toll on anyone. Maybe you weren't aware that Olivier had some serious health problems as well during the last twenty years of his life when he was married to Joan Plowright and had frail health. And it took a toll on Oliviers' looks as well. He became a shell of what he used to be as he aged. I give VL great credit for trying very hard to overcome her health and mental issues the last years of her life. Even with all of her health problems she stayed busy acting until her death. She even won a Tony for Tovarich in the early sixties. She also had her companion Jack Merivale in her life.

I agree she did not age well, the difference is immense, you hardly recognize her in later years. So sad! Tribute to severe health problems, smoking and drinking. And those sad eyes behind all the heavy make up.

​@@renatekoell even after,56yrs we all love our Vivien Leigh she was nowhere near as bad as some of the story's About her,we know she had mental health problems, but Vivien was never Hooked on hard drugs nor had Abortions when she was herself Vivien was pure class and a very Intelligent woman, watch her in Small world with Sam Goldwyn and Kenith tynam on KZread.
