    Man I’m so glad I had blood work. My vitamin D level was 15. It most likely has been this way for sometime because for 2 years I’ve been feeling like I was dying. Chest pain & heart palpitations! So much anxiety especially at night! Muscle and back pain.. these past couple years have been a trip. I’ve started an herbal cleans along with D3 5000 ui & outdoor workouts in the sun.. HAPPY HEALING!!

    Vitamin D testing should be standard procedure that western doctors should be checking on. It would save a lot of people from having to deal with problems associated with them. My naturopathic doctor advised me to get tested and turned out I was Vit D deficient. Taking shots every 3 weeks to get the levels up to normal levels but also taking 5000IU d3 drops daily! I would recommend you guys to take liquid form as it’s easily absorbable and bypasses the digestive processes. Good luck to all!

    I’ve been feeling so weak, tired and sleepy for months but thought it was normal. I had no energy and I did not want to do anything but stay in bed. I would feel so sad and confused and would hide that feeling by always sleeping since I would feel so tired. I thought it was normal since I would work a lot. I would sleep 10+ hours but I would still be really tired. Then I went to get my blood tested and was told I had vitamin D deficiency. The doctor prescribed me Vitamin D and now I feel so much better. I have so much energy. I don’t feel sad or tired and I am so glad I got my blood tested.

    The Scandinavian countries started taking this seriously about ten years ago as the long dark winters meant that their populations had low levels. They now regularly fortify foods. It's interesting to see that they have done the best of all the European countries in the covid pandemic.

    Seriously? I wonder what Scandinavian country you are referring to? Cause this is not true for Norway. Not by a long shot. Our normal range is below what they see as deficient in Usa. And I have been battling with my health for 20 years, not one doctor has mentioned anything about vitamin d. Ever. They don't even test for it without you asking. And it turns out my values was at 11,2 ng/ml. The daily recommendation in my country is way too low! Just get some cod liver oil (10 mcg), and you are good. I had to become my own doctor in order to figure this out. Now I'm making sure my friends and family get themselves tested as well.

At this point i was devastated because i wished it does relate to it. He did prescribe me calming pills( a non unti-depression) and meant, i should try to get what is missing in my life slowly. my first general doctor told me the same like my psychiatrist :/ I am Sorry to share this with you, i know many will not be happy to hear this like me but i still hope that vitamin d supplements will get me strong like before without having fear, anxiety, palpitations and sleep problems.

    knee joint pain, leg weakness, shoulder pain, muscle twitches, heart palpitations and anxiety, less concentration, fatigue, sleepiness and depression (kinda), these are what i have been suffering from past 6 months and i guess its because i have been deficient for more than a year, last year too i had deficient levels but it became fine when i took supplements for two weeks. My levels when i got diagnosed recently a week ago were around 12. Been taking 60,000 iu twice weekly, 2 doses done, no difference yet. have my follow up 2 months later. I felt like a new person around week 3 of taking the D. Once my level hit 25, Dr. Took over and refused to prescribe any more vit D. My bloodwork showed normal calcium level but when i looked at her diagnosis after phone consultation she diagnosed me with hypercalcemia. Now I'm back to constant bone pain and all of the symptoms mentioned here plus my BMI is 31. Some days i cant walk without a cane. The over the counter vitamin d supplements don't seem to help. I have a 4 cm nodule on my thyroid plus a 2 cm one. As my throat always feel a fullness, I would like to have the larger nodule removed. I'm told no. It's not cancer. Well, I sometimes throw up thd food I eat cause of the throat fullness. They said no. I still am fighting for this surgery. Then I'll take my Vit D3. It's a battle of the wills. Less than a week ago my GP said my Vitamin D is severely low. It will be checked again in a week or so. I'm going in for a knee replacement on May 13th. Does this affect my surgery outcome? Any insight I get would be appreciated. I'm so confused. I was an RN before so it makes talking to my Drs difficult. I am always in pain and take medical marijuana. I had blood work done Friday. It came back and my levels were at 16.4, which is pretty low. I've been having what's called "brain zaps". It's like an electric shock-like sensation in the brain (completely benign but bothersome). I thought I was having a stroke or seizure but it's due to anxiety and stress as well as stopping anti-depressants. I don't take anti-depressants so the only other cause is anxiety and stress. So I started taking the vitamin D my doctor gave me and I take my next dose this coming Monday morning. I also need B vitamins because my RBC and WBC levels are low which is concerning. So we'll see how I feel in a few weeks. Edit: Update in replies below.

    @@medilabhealth1265 Well, since I posted this, I was able to call my doctors office and describe my symptoms and they're were able to get me in to see my doctor almost immediately the next day and I had to discuss with her some things that were happening at home. She did mention that it could be due to chronic stress, likely because I wasn't sleeping and eating right and also having to listen to my roommates argue almost everyday for whatever reasons. My doctor eventually got me set up with a therapist and a nutritionist because I wanted to try therapy and because of my eating habits. And ever since that visit with my doctor, I have only had a few zaps but it wasn't nearly as frequent as it was when it started about a month prior to posting my original comment and then they just stopped. I've been sleeping better but I'm still working on it. My eating hasn't really changed due to my living situation and social anxiety about my roommates. I enjoy the peace of my room but it's uncomfortable living with them. They're unpredictable so it makes me that much more uncomfortable. I'm at the point where I bought myself a double burner cooktop to make my food in my room to avoid any type of contact with my roommates but recently I've applied for a new job that pays better than my current one. I'm just hoping that it all works out in my favor and I can find my own place and live in peace. 😌

    i was diagnosed over a year ago, at first they told me to take over-the-counter medication and it didn’t work. they then gave me a prescription for potent pills that i took weekly and that didn’t work. since then they told me to take over-the-counter again and i’ve stopped. i never felt any different taking vitamin d supplements and the only symptom i have is fatigue/insomnia and that never went away when i was taking them.

    Im low on vit D (tested last week) I climbed back from almost deficient levels. Can low levels also cause all this symptoms? I suffer fatique, slight elevated TSH (now dropped to almost normal level), arhytmia, palpitations, high blood pressure (though daily average is normal), digestion issues, high levels of ldh (lactate), elevated cholesterol etc. All other bloodwork and vitamins (incl calcium) are normal and all organs work fine. I was told to take 5000 IU per day but some supplements make symptoms go worse. I mix 3 brands D3+K2 and two types of fish oil and omega supplement containing vit D as well totally measuring 4000IU a day, rest I gain from food.

    We have noticed that tiredness is a more common symptom of vitamin deficiency. If you have persistant hunger you might have a blood sugar test as well. Hunger might not directly associated with vit d deficiency.

  • @medilabhealth1265

    @medilabhealth1265

    6 ай бұрын

    Fibromyalgia is a multifactorial condition with a wide range of potential contributing factors including genetics, central nervous system abnormalities, and psychological factors. Vitamin D may be just one piece of it and it's not a definitive treatment for fibromyalgia. If you suspect a vitamin D deficiency or are dealing with fibromyalgia it's a good idea to consult with a healthcare professional for a proper evaluation and guidance on appropriate treatment options.
