    Noticed a neat little detail. Phantom Limb's "will work for food sign" is made in the frilliest Elizabethan script he can manage. The guy is so posh he nearly ruined his bum disguise just for some fancy script.

    Even though this clip didn’t include the next scene, I honestly found it incredibly touching how Dr. Phineas Phage (Richard’s arch) blew up the wall and broke in out of genuine concern for Richard’s well being to see if maybe a battle would help cheer him up or take his mind off things. I really love how this show portrays the villains at times being more sympathetic and better people than most of the so called “good guys”

  • @Cephalopod51
    @Cephalopod512 жыл бұрын

    As bad as Professor Impossible was in his first two episodes in Seasons 1+2, it's a wonder that Richard wasn't a supervillain already. I know he's technically considered to be one of the "good guys," but he often acted like a supervillain posing as a superhero. I'm surprised he wasn't secretly a member of the Guild of Calamitous Intent during the times he nearly killed Dr. Venture. If Richard were still as smug, self-assured, and ruthless as he was in the first two seasons, he'd be working for both the Guild and the OSI to further his own selfish scientific pursuits. The more dangerous supervillains are usually the ones who think they're the good guys. Ironically, after Sally left him, and after Phantom Limb turned him into a rogue villain, his character became more relatable and a little more likable. However, I get the sense that Richard from Seasons 1+2 wouldn't have cared that Sally left him as much as Richard from Seasons 3-5 did. Richard did say in "Twenty Years to Midnight" that he believed science was more important than his family. I don't think the Richard before Season 3 would've minded being called a bad guy, either.
