Vision 110 Jr. Review with Underwater Footage

I just paid $20 bucks for the Megabass Vision 110 Jr. because it was so beautiful! I have never been big on jerk baits for multiple reasons. They snag on everything, weeds, rocks, clothing, and fingers. The hooks get all tangled up when you put them in the tackle box, but they do catch fish!
Most of the pros use the Vision 110 when using jerk baits to fish in tournaments. It is a little too big for the schooling bass I usually target so I decided to go with the Jr. It is still a big tripped treble hook lure that measures in at 3.75 inches. It has a weight transfer system and I feel like I can cast it a mile. I tied it straight to my braid because I was scared to lose it, and with the 30lb braid, I could just pull hard and straighten out the hook if needed. I fished it this way for a couple of days and I feel like I learned a lot.
1- I tried multiple retrieves and got bites on all of them. I drifted with a constant retrieve, very violent jerks, and a twitch and pause method that all caught fish.
2- The treble hooks make it hard to lip a bass. You will need a net if you catch a big one you can't just boat flip.
3- I had a fish inhale the bait and got the front treble hook in the gills. Even with pliers and being very cautious I was not able to save the fish. We ate it for lunch but if you are not wanting to harm fish, you might want to find another way to target them.

I wont use a leader for that exact reason! Not losing a $20 lure to another connection point. I've caught plenty with 15 lb Power pro solely. Pro Blue has worked but, having with the finish chipping pretty quickly. Biggest catcher has been the MB Sexy Shad. Winter is coming and I can't wait to be out there alone with my MB 110 Juniors!

Robert Brost thanks for the tip, I even fish my finesse wacky worm strait braid sometimes and still catchem. I think the flouro is just a confidence thing but $20 is a lot of money.

I always change those 3 trebles for 2 slightly bigger ones in the front and tail. Works better for the fish here

Few tips for you bud. Keep your drag pretty loose. The hooks are so thin they bend out really easily. If you have a big fish on and your drag is too tight consider it gone. And just because there Gill is bleeding a little doesn’t mean certain death. Usually when they get back in the water and swim away it stops lol

@@BRandomFishing I agree I haven’t found a better one yet. The hooks are amazing. Not even a real need to set the hook either just lean in and reel hook them they pretty much hook themeself lol I’ve been slowly building a 110 box. Just started buying the 110+1s. Good luck out there 🎣

I am sure it would do great in salt water. The hooks are made for fresh water though, so they won't last as long and make sure you have your drag set.

Man, I fish megabass's I slide 185's and 262's alot, along with Vision 110's. I thought the 110's were cheap compared to I slides and I wings...lol. Just buy enough of em that you got alot, and then if you loose 1 or 2 it is what it is. Hey bro, if you'd work that 110 Jr more snappy, you'd catch alot more fish. Bump it on a slack line, and you'll get the action Ito designed it for.

Haha, I might just start asking for those for birthdays and Christmas from here on out, until I can build up a stockpile. I would really like to start fishing glide baits. I just find it hard to fish all day and not catch anything.

@@BRandomFishing Yeah I understand that. I fish 4-5 days a week, so that makes a difference. I would find it hard to do at times if all I had was the weekends. But some days it's on and it can be really productive. You'd be surprised how ambitious some of those smaller bass are...lol. Hey tight lines man!

It’s a diawa pro. It is over 10 years old and they don’t make it anymore but it is still smooth and I’ve never even taken it apart for mtx. It was about $150 back then so equivalent of about a $200 reel now. Diawa def makes good stuff
