That Dos-Mukasan track *does* actually sound like C.A. Quintet! Amazing!

I know! Really amazing that it was recorded in Kazakstan in the 70s. The whole song is great!

Thanks Jonas! 🙂
Hey Jonas, what a great selection of records! I haven't heard of Dos-Mukasan before, but I really liked the little snippet that you played. I'll definitely need to have another listen to them. I like The Tall Dwarves but haven't heard that album before. I love Surf's Up... what a great album! The Wah Wah concerto album sounded really cool too. Look forward to diggin into your channel more and seeing what else you put out in the future! Cheers, Jack

Thank you for clarifying! My understanding of cyrillic letters is very limited 🙂
Hello Jonas- I’m a big fan of The Bats so great to see Made up in Blue 12”! Some tracks from Dogma EP included on the excellent Tall Dwarfs comp released couple years ago on Merge US label. Hope you show more Flying Nun. Cheers! Matt

@@vinylstockholm I would definitely tune in to that one- The Bats, Clean, Chills, Sneaky Feelings, Verlaines all favorites of mine! I’ve subbed. Cheers!
Surprisingly the sample you played of the band from Kazakhstan sounded great. The album cover is very deceptive.

Hi Richie! Yes, that song is a psychedelic masterpiece. I'm still amazed that it was recorded in the mid-70s in Kazakhstan. I have a link to the full song in the description. The cover sure shows some psych heads in disguise. 😂
the label Dos-Mukasan was on was the Soviet national label. Those records have multiple pressings. Bats is 86 not 68.

Thanks! Typing too fast. Will change that. 😊
Dos Mukasan is great find. I have tried to find psych, jazz rock Melodija titles from St. Petersburg without luck. Soviet grail series have great reissues of rare record like Sato or Gunesh. Too bad that world situation is what it is and can't support russian labels.

Yeah, the world is weird now, in so many ways. But anyway, I'm very happy with the Dos Mukasan LP, really cool one.
wow, these were great. Both 12" singles there I don't have in the Flying Nun catalog. But want them. Great track you picked by the almighty Tall Dwarfs too. The Wah Wah record I hadn't seen before. Really interesting one and would love to see an Acid Archives video on that. Curious about that Drag Utan Droger. Sounded pretty great! And loved the sound of the Russian lp, I hear the CA Quintet for sure.

Thanks! Flying Nun is a fascinating label, so much cool music. And I also need many releases, especially the early stuff that's getting harder and harder to track down. I have a link in the description to the Kazak psych track, the whole song is great!

@@vinylstockholm Yes I've been hard at work tracking down all the Flying Nuns. My goal is to get all the 12" singles, first pressings, with the custom labels. At least from the start until 1987 maybe. Crossed a few good ones off the list this year!

That is an awesome goal! I'm also looking for the early 12" and 7". I managed to score and original of "Go To Town" by The Pin Group from 1982 last year. Really hard one to get, very happy with it :)

@@vinylstockholm woah! I have that reissue. Very nice! Yes the 7"s too for me. Th earliest stuff of course. But I will be doing a Flying Nun update with what I've added since I did the label focus on them
