Man, memories came flooding back, I have mixed on so many of those consoles,,, Some of those consoles sounded amazing
Bello/Magnifico.✡️😱😱😱😱😱😱💪🌡️
The reason why I love this exhibition is, you can walk around with your pair of 70s bootcut trousers and loose long hair without feeling misplaced 😅

Fully agree, would be a fantastic read
The EV MT4s were 1996 ACDC with Pab Boothroyd, I remember that PA hanging on either side very loud show ... the X array they took out the next tour was really clean sounding as well given the SPL
Thank you so much for posting this and thank you for making me feel old:) It was nice to reminisce; I was fortunate enough to use most of those large format consoles and outboard gear back in the day. I can still feel what those P&G faders on the Midas PR consoles felt like.. It would have been cool to see a Clair S-4 or even Turbosound TMS-3 along side the others.

Glad you liked it! We have some Turbosound in another video, but it's unfortunately in german only...
Cool. I remember everyone in our local bands using the 2x15" Martin bins in clubs. Punchy.
Love all of that, thank you so much for preserving so much and bringing it all together. I have been using most of that gear since 1974, so it was a real trip down memory lane for me as well...
Great collection!
I attended one of their evening listening sessions. Very interessting to see and hear how much the systems improve over time. For my personal taste, the F2 B1 combination from d&b sounded absolutly incredible. Thank your afford, making this vintage sound experience.🎉
Ohhhhh, thank you so much. That was a real trip. Love those Phillishave cabinets. 😊😊
What a Wonderful tour , cheers man
WOW! What a treat to stumbled on this! I haven't even watched it yet, but had to share my gratitude right away! I'be been fascinated by the old gear for years.
I love this video. Thank you for making it.
That was so awesome!!!
Great show!
Vielen Dank für Eure klasse Initiative als Verein! Gut zusammengefasst hier, war aber auch vor Ort eine riesen Freude.
Die MSL3 läuft noch immer jeden Abend im Spectrum Augsburg. Ich liebe sie.
I used a Ramsa S1 for FOH once, so now you know someone, who did.
I’ve always wondered about sound reinforcement from the “golden days” of popular music. Absolutely fascinating. Thanks for uploading
Great video, Wonderful to see the old stuff, Martin Audio with the philoshaves sounded amazing. I would add some Turbo sound tms3, Meyer UPA, JBL 4560, Hill M1, Drawmer Gates, Alesis MIDIverbs….

Actually not forgetting the Clair Bros S4, I heard this when I saw U2 in ‘85. Can you imagine one box with 2x18, 4x10, 2xHF, 2xSHF

Audio history treasure.
This is fun, I have mixed on some of those big Martin rigs over the years and I just got rid of four of those JBL wedges from the 80s they are 1982 Cabaret series if I remember right. I have used tons of those Cerwin Vega bottoms B36. I have mixed on MSL3 cabs. And lots and lots of the Bose 802, they were great for hanging from tall stands for public address for sports fields.

You can't give a PM3000 or 4000 away for free now, how times have changed.
First band in the 70s we had the Shure vocal master with matching cabinets
This was fun to watch.. I still have some of these PA systems in storage. I still use the EV MT4's

Very interesting. Thank you.
This was awesome! Thank you so much for the tour. I WISH I could hear some of these systems! Damn. Some absolutely incredible gear!
thanks for the tour !
Someone needs to revive the WEM brand. Their stuff had really cool design.
✨✨👏🏻👏🏻 As always... Thanks!
Esa es nuestra historia!!!
How fun…..oh my…I started with a sound craft 200 24 x4 I didn’t know shit….but I was a lead singer so I understood how a vocal should sound And I could get it loud before feed back…..then over some time and many mistakes I got to understand how effects sat in a mix Two spx90 one Roland sde1000. One SPX was verb which went across drums and vox…second pitch doubler flange and reverse reverb only effects I used….we had showco tops 2x12 large 2” horn and 4 double 18 peavy subs 2 preside…to this day I hear engineers whose vocals sound harsh or boxy 400-800 hz needing to go….but no one seems to care….thanks for the video

Sackradi, das war absolut geil! Ich hab noch zwei P1 von Dynacord rumstehen.
Wurden die konzerte aus denen die aufnahmen vom album in transit von saga genommen wurden über so eine anlage der frühen 80er ins publikum gebracht
You didn’t talk about community you have there they are still the best company

I like Your Beckenbauer style to speak english
lovely video, thank you.. 19:44 may i ask what were the limitations that prohibited the use of line arrays for concerts in the past?
@mothergrid-magazine
Жыл бұрын
Thanks for your question, Schabbach replied as follows: „There was no line array for touring concert use until VDosc. Before that, there was simply no concert line array suitable for touring. Christian Heil has brought the line array format into a road suitable format. The line array technology is much older and has been used for a long time, e.g. in fixed installations.“ I hope we could help! Markus

@@mothergrid-magazine thank you mr Markus... is it safe to assume then that the size/weight made them unusable for portable sound systems prior to mr Christian Heil array system?
