After my 1st husband and I divorced in 1977, we had our 2nd chance at love again in 2020 and planned to marry in 2021. Unfortunately, he was diagnosed with Covid19 pneumonia on Dec 28 and died ten days later on January 8, 2021. I am still completely heartbroken and find comfort in music. I listen to a list of all of OUR songs that we started in 1975 and we still added to our list until he died. I am finding comfort in many of Vince's songs, along with many others. Thank you Vince Gill and I hope you know I am coping with my grief the best know how by listening to your music & others on most days. I even play one of your CD's when I go to bed and fall asleep listening to it each night. I was so happy when I read Charles Chavez's post about finding Connie. I'm glad you, Charles Chavez, and Vicki Myers are able to live the rest of your lives with your 'true love'.

@@vickimyers2064 I am very happy for you. I was in a similar situation where my ex-husband and I reconnected on Apr 1, 2020 and planned to remarry in 2021. Unfortunately, he was exposed to Covid19, was tested, and the test came back negative but he started feeling bad. By Dec 28th he was very sick and I got him to Urgent Care and they took him to the hospital. I was not allowed in the hospital and he had to sleep in the hall that night and was sent home the next day with a tank of oxygen and steroids. He died on Jan 8th, 2021 and I cant tell you how heartbroken I still am. It's been 569 days as of today and I have cried each and every day. It's like a bad dream and I keep thinking I will wake up and he will be there standing next to me. Congratulations on your upcoming marriage. I am so glad to see other people finding their true loves after 40 years. It really is something very special and I'm glad God gave me 2020 to be with my true love once again. God Bless.

never felt Love would find me till I found it in 1998. I was finishing my chemo, weighing 74 lbs, no breast, no hair and a single parent of 2 young girls. I met my husband (now of 13 years) he seen past all the scars, bills, sickness and to this day, after being diagnosed 2 more times with cancer...yes Love has found me. Thank you Perry for being there for me and finding me and Loving me!

I danced to this song with my Grandfather at my wedding for the father-daughter dance. He told me he was proud of me, one of the most memorable and heartfelt moments of my life.

I was a young 20 year old kid living in an apartment in Nashville when I heard this. It cemented a love between me and the love of my life. I fought hard against the fact that she loved me and I was fighting my love for her. I fell hard for her. She told me goodnight and I did the same for her and this song came on cmt. I knew I was a goner. Sadly, it was a tumultuous relationship. My insecurities and her love for the Nashville nightlife caused the demise of a relationship that I think about to this day. I remember the good parts and this song brings back fond memories.

In the end love will find everyone, I have just recently found it and she truly is the love of my life.

I had two failed marriages… the first I was just 17 - we were too young to handle the pressures of life and marriage. The 2nd was a 30 year disaster of abuse, especially emotional. After he died from diabetes/heart failure, I had ten years of healing through the sweet love of Jesus. And what do you know, when I least expected it, love - true love - has found me!!! We are ecstatic! His wife died during Covid - he was crushed. He didn’t know or expect he’d be able to love again. But God has shown us that love conquers all - including our broken hearts and spirit. Wedding bells very soon! This song will be on our reception list!

This was our wedding song. It is so beautiful. After the marriage failed, I couldn't listen to it anymore. Then about 5 years ago I played it. Cried like a baby. I still play it now and again to remind me of the good times we had for 10 years. Still tear up sometimes, too.

Who knew Vince and Aarons much would have such an impact on my life. It can be very emotional. I would love it at my wedding. I just thought I would share this. I didnt mean for this to be so long.

I always liked this song, but I guess it was always about the “when” but as of 3.5 years ago, love found me. Not just saying it and hearing it, but actually feeling it and knowing it’s different.
