Vince Carter raised the bar of dunking in game that has not been matched. Flashy moves finished with such Power is mind blowing. Vince and T Mac Combo is also one of my biggest what ifs.

Can you imagine watching prime jordan, Magic, Iverson, Kemp, Duncan, Shaq, Grant Hill, Kobe, Garnett, McGrady, Wade and I can add more. This is why folks these days shouldn't be so quick to crown people goats of anything after a couple seasons of nice play. Theres too many people that have done it and at a near godly level of the game. Make sure to do research before placing that crown and giving those flowers.

He left our team like a punk; don’t get me wrong I loved watching Vince play *BUT* I’m never going to forget all his “injuries” he faked, his constant pouting at the end, dropping his scoring average from 24.5ppg to 15.9ppg just so Toronto would trade him, OH and to top it all off we trade him for next to nothing because he forced Babcocks hand (who was already a trash gm) and Alonzo Mourning didn’t even report to us; it was actually a bitch ass move I was so mad especially after losing McGrady to Orlando as well..

@@sugu8403 bro, the team was fucking him around for months before that shit, he tried to do shit the "right way" behind the scenes and got nowhere so did what he had to do The way I see it, he showed them respect until they refused to show him some in return and at that point its fuck you (not you, the team) imo Definitely could have been handled better from both sides but to say Vince was the punk in the situation is wrong imo, Vince tried to be mature but his hand was forced, I'd more so blame the stubborn assholes who ran the team and forced said hand

one of only two moments that I saw in slow motion. his through the legs dunk and Joe Carter's home run. both Carters. haha.
#30 in the clip around 40-45 seconds in was my HS coach and Vince’s best friend. My school was the gym he’s dunking on us at 1:01 lol, (Spruce Creek HS) that says “The Creek Keeps Rising” on the wall above the bleachers. Because of that connection I was lucky enough to work the Vince Carter Flight School camp a few times as a “counselor/coach” and he is the nicest, generous, and most down to earth guy you can imagine. I couldn’t say enough good things about the man. Not to mention he’s been a blessing to Daytona Beach with his generosity and all the things he does for our community. For example, funding the rebuilding of his dilapidated HS alma mater (Mainland HS), thus demolishing an aged and decrepit school and building a new one that would rival most small colleges. God bless that man. Sad to see him retire but so very proud of everything he’s done both on and off the court. He’s the epitome of what a great athlete and role model should be.

Being from NC ( not a UNC fan, NC STATE )I’ve seen so many players come thru. The college in my town has a college tourney every year and it’s small. UNC, Duke always come and we get to see them off season. Vince was a special player. He would shoot the shit after games and hang out. He didn’t act like a premadonna or need special attention or treatment. His game didn’t get recognized bc all the dunks. He shot lights out during the tourney one year..no dunks, and was unbelievable. Played into his 40’s…he is someone the NBA should immortalize bc he kept asses in seats and got them huge tv contracts after Jordan. Good shit thanks for posting this
