🚲 Viewers Are Mad! (Why I *Don't* Give Links To Products)

Too many comments about it: all the reasons why I don't link to products in my videos.
Some of you have asked me why I don’t link to the products that I use in my videos. There are several reasons for that, and I want to clarify them here.
First of all, many of the products that I use are either not available anymore by the sellers or have been discontinued by the manufacturers. For example, one of the battery packs that I used for one of my more popular ebike projects was a custom-made one that I ordered from a seller on aliexpress. It is not something that you can find premade such as on Amazon or eBay.
Secondly, some of the products that I use are heavily customized or modified by me or by other experts. For instance, the motor controller that I installed on my ebike was upgraded to output 50A whereas the one they normally sell was only 35A, so it's not as simple as just linking the original product that you can buy online.
Thirdly, some of the products that I use are very specific to my ebike models and may not be compatible with other ebikes. For example, giant 70AH battery pack in my 18KW enduro build was designed specifically to my project, if it were even possible to "give a link" to that, it 100% would not fit your bike without extensive modifications, and not everyone would be aware of that. It may not and most likely would not fit on other ebikes with different specifications simply because this battery was so huge that it wouldn't fit on any premade frame (that I'm aware of).
Therefore, linking to some the products that I use in my videos would not be very helpful or accurate for you. You may end up buying something that does not work for your ebike or does not meet your expectations. That is why I prefer to show you the products in detail and explain how they work and why I chose them.
I hope this makes sense and answers your questions. If you have any more questions or comments, please leave them below and I will give you even more info on it.

😂 as someone who found you for the keyboard and stay around for the E bike stuff. I kind of got the impression very early on that if I wanted to build this, I need to build it to what I needed not what you were actually doing. Thank you.🎉

😅Yes, that was mainly my intention behind showing the builds - more of a "here's one way to do something" and hope that people take what they need from it regarding inspiration and build their own. 👍🍻Thanks!

Love your channel. Not sure if I ever asked you for "links" per say but I did ask what some of the futuristic looking fonts were that you use on your builds. I even tried identifying them via screen shots which didn't really lead to anything. Anyways, love your stuff! Keep em coming!

@@hightech-lowlife If I recall, it was whatever fonts you used on the ThinkPad laptop build. There were a few different ones but I couldn't identify any of them.

I mainly used two fonts on this job "Federopolis" and "Cyberdyne". Any of the other text are my own custom design which aren't fonts at all, just graphics built from other fonts beyond recognition.

😅I don't mind people asking, I just feel bad when I literally can't give them what they are asking for, and people get confused like I'm hiding them, so this is my explanation 👍Thanks man!!

Hi can u make an hidden throttle or kill switch to off the throttle or wireless throttle??

Sure, all these are possible. You'd have to elaborate on "hidden"? Kill switch is easy, but wireless? What would be the point of a wireless throttle, just for aesthetics? 🍻

100% agree I two scour the internet for parts but it does take some know how to improve and make it even better than stock... Sometime that even break within a week and then you have to find out and take it apart... Most people just return it or just throw it away 😅

@@chikararexzpoYes, this is the DIY way 👍a lot of people just want convenience though, don't want to figure anything out, just use it and if it breaks they throw it away and buy a new one. My beginner series will ask the question if it is better to build or buy, and it takes a certain type of person to want to build instead of buy.
