    Im a trucker, wind is bad. What ive always been told is park, but if you are in a situation like this, with nowhere to park, do not come to a complete stop, or you will be more likely to blow over.

    Good for you... but he pulled over because the road was already blocked ahead. Better for him to stop on the shoulder and not in traffic and risk hurting someone else.

    Hat down to the driver who stop the right line and left a room for tow trucks to get around

    Yeah I would have pulled up against that tree and risked getting stuck versus tipped over. In some cases it's $5,000 to get pulled out. Tipped over is probably more

    For people who don't understand how bad truckers get treated the bosses will blame that on the truckers. They will say drivers fault look their are other trucks and they didn't get tipped over, if you knew how to drive a truck you wouldn't of drove it into a ditch or try driving with all the wheels on the ground idiot. Yep that's what they will hear and probably get sued or fired as they will say they should of known and pulled over well.ahead of time.

    So you would have left your vehicle in winds that are strong enough to topple semis?

  • @hinerron
    @hinerron2 жыл бұрын

    Maybe humans shouldn't have cut down all of the trees for a hundred miles in any direction. That would have helped keep the wind down.

    At least it didn't look like they were carrying livestock. 5:03 that line of semis, looks like they outnumber cars 10 to 1, must be an awful road to drive on for passenger vehicles with all those pavement wreckers around. They just lift spring weight restrictions or something?

    These pavement wreckers as you call them pay more each for maintaining those roads in a year than you do in a lifetime. And if you disliked them so much quit buying stuff at any store, or online business and grow or make your own. If you and enough of your buddies do this eventually all those big mean trucks will go away. Until then shut your pie hole!

    @@Ken_in_Wisconsin Of cours Ken....that's the noble thing to do. I've witnessed 3 accidents (all in Utah)..while driving the truck years ago. ALL the drivers stopped to help. When I needed help after some a$$hole ran into my truck in Calif....NObody helped! I stopped in Colorado when I saw a pickup flip several times /// the 1st trooper there chewed my ass for trying to help! Good luck getting people involved today.

    Considering one of those tipped over is a 24' box truck, your 'logic' of blaming 53' trailers as the problem eludes me

    24' van bodies on a single axle truck is just as problematic as a 53' trailer. How many flat beds, tankers, or even grain trailers end up this way? Not many.
