Why are they being told the DNR responsible for this?? Its happened before and the blockages were cleaned out at Shmidkies damn. Now they say it’s natural and there is nothing that can be done? Does this have anything to do with the Sakatah WMA near the damn? These people need help! They also pay city taxes. Why isn’t the city putting any pressure on the DNR to get the blockages cleared out?

My mom’s house was in the news clip. They have been flooded out in previous years. The last time they had to leave was a few years ago. They found the cannon river was blocked by trees and debris. They cleared it out. There has been no flooding the past couple years since. Now they are being told by the DNR that it’s natural and they can’t do anything to help! She told me they flew a drone over and saw blockage. She is newly widowed, it breaks my heart that people are so cruel along with the governments unwillingness to fix it ! What are taxes for? I wish she had a lawyer living on the block.
These people must have done something bad for god to punish them like this
