They shouldn't have snow banks on bridges They act like ramps.

If he had a passenger.
They need to have higher guardrails on these bridges. There was one in Wisconsin where the vehicle went off the overpass and fell 75 feet. That driver survived. There was anothe one in Chicago where people died. The snow berm launches vehicles.

Great tires or bad tires...the DOT should not allow snow berms (ramps) on bridges and overpasses. Just because drivers from Norway are the greatest drivers in the snow, of ALL time...there shouldn't be hazards on the roads for the rest of us simple and average drivers.

What "rescue of truck"? The poor truck is still dangling on the brink!
I miss my Ranger. The only new vehicle I ever owned, I bought it in 1998 with 5 miles on the odometer and drove it for 18 years. I probably could have made it to 20 or more, but I hit a patch of ice on a curve, rolled it, and it was totaled. I'm glad to see that the one in this video appears to have made it.
These snow berms really seem to be a problem.

@@Olds_Gold The first three generations of Rangers were made in Louisville, Kentucky; Edison, New Jersey; and Saint Paul, Minnesota. The very last 3rd-generation Ranger -- a 2012 model -- was also the final vehicle produced at the Saint Paul facility before Ford shut it down. The new Ranger, designed and engineered in Australia, is being built in Wayne, Michigan for the North American market.

Everyone holding down the back of the truck prevented it from going over the rail when the weight shifted as the door was opened and the driver got out. They definitely rescued not just the truck driver, but also the truck.
I am just going to say I am thankful they are all okay! The truck could have shifted and taken them all down too. Not to mention all of the cars passing on winter roads were potentially dangerous as well. Just overall best outcome.
Video has no ending really!

No injuries and pickup was eventually pulled off by one or more tow trucks. :)
Ford Rangers are great pickups.
I have a 2011 Ranger XLT Supercab similar to that one and the back of them are quite light so in the winter I have sand and or salt bags in the bed for weight and in case I get stuck.
So..the truck was heroically rescued? I only see the passengers climbing out! You again
Little bit of pucker factor going on for that driver
Just another day in MN.
Iam a truck driver in Michigan and that's my biggest fear is losing control in the winter on a bridge. Dont understand why they dont have taller sides. Makes no sense to have 3 foot sides then add snow. Yikes! Talk about a ass pucker.
Someone is going to need new tires, and a clean pair of shorts.
wow how did this guy do that
One wrong move by the driver could have tipped the scales. It appears that most of the weight is past the tipping point. One fart away from plunging into the abyss.
