Blimey! Brad noticed a ‘one flat’ difference in the suspension leg. Just another demonstration of the quality of engineering staff on this job! It’s wonderful watching these specialists work.

Great update Neville. Very interesting to hear from Brad about the undercarriage workings. Never thought about how having only the one fuel tank installed would affect how Jane will handle when taxiing. Good to hear from the rest of the gang as well. They have put such an enormous amount of effort into this restoration and it really has been enjoyable to watch them as they have progressed every week. Bit by bit getting a little bit nearer to having Jane restored to full flight condition. A lot of hard work still ahead but what an amazing effort they have put into this project. Well done guys. Thank you as always Neville for all your effort each week uploading these videos for us all to be able to follow Jane on her journey towards that end goal. Keep them coming mate. Best wishes to you and everyone at the centre. 👍

Having visited Just Jane in 2017 when on holiday from New Zealand, I look forward to every update. Thank you Neville for the detailed record of this amazing restoration. What a skilled and dedicated team are involved this project. Thanks to your regular videos, I feel part of the project and really enjoy seeing the detail in the structure. Never ceases to amaze me that such a magnificent machine was able to be produced despite, perhaps because of, all the difficulties and challenges of wartime existence. Thank you all.

Over the years of getting my weekly update on the restoration Dave, Brad, Keith, and all the rest of the crew have become like old familial faces. One of the earliest episodes featured John and I was dumbstruck when I saw his face. He is a doppelgänger (spitting image) of a mechanic I worked with at Frontier Airlines (Denver, Colorado) back in the late 1960s. Right down to the bushy eyebrows and shock of unruly hair on his head - and just as a right good mechanic too. Keep up the good the good work, Neville.

Hi Neville, could you ask the Lanc team if they have heard if the term ‘Jesus Bolts’ for those main bolts that hold the wing on. My dad was in the RAF and showed me some on a Hawker Hurricane. He told me that they were called this because if one failed the wing would detach and Jesus would be the next person you would be talking with. Good old fashion RAF humour at its best.

Hi Neville, many thanks for your weekly video`s on Jane. I have a question which i hope you will ask regarding the French fuselage centre section. Will it need stripping completely of any skins and frames etc, or is it good enough to just strip and re-spray for use?. It looks like it`s and good condition, but on closer inspection, it may be rotten with corrosion?.

I guess the only specs you'd have is for a "wet" fully loaded aircraft. You'll never get it to that weight so the suspension must be tuned to what weight you'll actually be at. That's probably several thousand pounds lighter.

I recall seeing NX611 on several occasions at Blackpool in the early 1970's. After the prospect of film work had dried up it was not looking it's best. If memory serves, I believe broom handles were used to simulate the guns that had been removed because of tensions over the IRA threat at the time. Can anyone confirm this?
