Do yourself a favor and skip the first minute... also I had to switch off the power to the entire system for one minute to let the setting take effect.

In the Fujitsu video it says the final step is to cut power to the system for one minute to "lock in the changes". Is that correct?

Great video and correct steps, thank you! Changed it and it works great. But how can I change the temp from C to F? Any help with those steps?

As someone said in another video to go from F to C: "It's dip switch #4. Set from 0 to 1. I con't remember if it's the left bank or right bank of dip switches, but it won't take long to determine which side effects the change." So, the same, but set it to 0. No idea where that dip switch is though. Hope you figured out by now xD

Anybody else find that they can use the interface, but when setting to value 01, the 01 just flashes, doesn't respond to the Timer Set button and then just disappears back to "--" displayed?

yea, reading some of the other comments here, apparently we have to 'power cycle the unit'... can someone tell us how? So i set 42 to 1, and then what do i press???? my apartment is fucking hot as fuck because this stupid shit thermostat doesn't measure the room temperature by default, ughhhhhhh.....

you are missing some steps for that to happen, check your manual first.

Could you say which ones please? Sadly I am in a rented flat and I don't have any manual. I know that at least I also have to do a power cycle of 1 minute for the setting to take effect. EDIT: I eventually learnt that aside from setting function 42 (enable room temperature sensor switch) to 1, you also have to set function 48 (use the embedded temperature sensor of the remote control) to 1. Then, do a power cycle of 1 minute. And if you do not want this function to be lost if there is some power shortage, you laso have to set the microswitch SD1, pin 6, to ON. Such a stupid complicated design for a basic functionality
