Thank you sir!!! I was finally able to set the timer on my Fujitsu thermostat. Apparently the contractor I used to do the installation didn’t think that my hard earned 17k that I paid him was enough for them to teach me how to properly use this equipment. I was left with instructions binder but most of the pages are covered in blood. I guess I wasn’t worthy of receiving a sanitary free instruction binder. Well anyhow after coming home to a cold room also many latex gloves disposed of after hours of reading the instructions on this unit.... you my friend were able to help me in just 2 minutes. Hi , I purchased a Fujitsu split system two years ago, and it came with this thermostat. As you demonstrated, you need to use a light to be able to see!!, which is ridiculous. There's no backlight! I was very disappointed, I thought they sent me an old technology (back when the television was in black and white!),so I contacted both my vendor and Fujitsu, and they confirmed that this is the correct thermostat. Therefore, I'm interested in replacing the UTY-RNNUM with a wifi-enabled one. Could you recommend a compatible replacement? Thank you!

Here is my take for the best cost and comfort. I live in the San Francisco Bay Area and it’s mid November. I Put my qty 3 min-split’s on “Auto” and “Econ” setting the temp to 68F. That seems to work w little complaints and is easy on the electric $.

When would I have to set the unit number? I have two air handlers connected to my Fujitsu outdoor heat pump. Both wired controllers are set to unit number 00. When would I have to set them differently? Main reason why I'm asking is, I installed a UTY-TTRXZ1 thermostat converter and everything is installed correctly, but the air handler does not come on. I'm wondering if I have to change the unit number using the old Fujitsu wired controller prior to installing the converter and a standard thermostat.

Can you tell me if this is supposed to have a LCD backlight? It's so hard to see we have to use a flashlight to see the settings!

No, it is not backlit. They should have included a flashlight with this model since one can only read the dial under ideal light conditions. This model also doesn't show the room temperature. The model that is backlit and shows the room temperature is UTY_RVNUM.

Yes, hold down top left button labeled “clock adjust” on the bottom of the button. U should be able to figure it out from there to set both time and day. The confusing part is the same top left button says “timer mode” don’t pay attn to that 😎

this is very clear except that I don't understand how to set the temperature during programming. For example, if I want the unit to come on at 6:30 a.m., how do I program at what temperature?
