The triple disappointed head tilt at 47:02 is peak brother energy.

It's actually crazy how much they've improved at this playstyle at this point. Six months ago it would've been unthinkable that they'd be able to knock out this many levels in less than 90 minutes

Someday they will spin on the ground to kill enemies. It may not be in DK1 it may not be in DK2, but I believe in them.

Very excited to watch another DKC stream. I only owned DKC2 as a kid, so I never played the first. Having to pay to save made me quit before I ever beat it, but I vividly remember these early levels.

YES!! DKC2 is one of my favorite games of all time and my fave in the DKC trilogy!

Man, I know this play style causes y'all physical pain to do, but boy does it give me such joy to watch you play it.

Loved seeing the rapid improvement from Justin Throughout the video. I hope to catch the next one live so I can give advice, but in case you guys read this I have some tips for whichever brother ends up on the action button: Dixie's hover is extremely useful for lining up nearly every jump in the game, but that's her only upside. Diddy has a much faster wind-up animation for his rolls and throws so you run less of a risk of getting hit. It is often safer to run into an enemy with a barrel instead of throwing it, though be sure to note that Diddy holds things in front of himself while Dixie holds things above her head. This WILL matter if you chose to run into enemies instead of throwing.

The schadenfreude is strong with this one 🤣

Would love to see them run the first Mario level again just to see a comparison of how skilled they’ve gotten with this play style

This is why I was excited for this one. Many vertical levels that won't kill them, but will break their spirits. They will suffer.... oh yes..... They will suffer indeed.

I'm amazed how persistent their misunderstanding of the roll has been. They decided in the first level of DKC against a Klump that only Donkey could roll and have never tested it against any other enemy.

I vote that the next game should be Yoshi's Island because: 1. Sequel to a game they already beat. 2. Move, Jump/Flutter, and Aim/Shoot make the perfect setup of actions. 3. Baby Mario crying will be the ultimate punishment

For those who haven't played it: this game, DKC2, is one of the greatest platformers ever made, and easily Rare's best game. You should play it.

The worst design choice in history is the rule of pants in which the more anthropomorphic a creature it is, the more likely it is to be wearing pants. The bipedal be-panted alligators only emphasize that Diddy has made a lifestyle choice not to wear any.

Wait, just what are the Kong family dynamics? Donkey is obviously a gorilla, and some googling revealed that Diddy is a spider monkey and Dixie is a chimp. Diddy is Donkey’s nephew, and Dixie is Diddy’s cousin, but also often cited as his girlfriend (?) But all of them are also Kongs. What is this multi species family tree?

Recently put together a PowerPoint on this very topic. Not a lot of clear answers but it seems that the DK Crew is made up a bit like an Italian mob. Some family tree with friends of the family included. It's my personal belief that Diddy is Donkey's nephew in name only and is probably the child of a monkey friend of his.
