I mostly just listen while working, so it was especially fun when the audio on this one devolved into some kinda twilight zone Electric Slide

Would give trav more to do. Would also just be a lot of going in circles if they weren't using a guide, I'd guess

This episode has big Hog energy

Sometimes there will be comments that are just the absolute pits due to the nature of the internet, being like "why aren't your learning from your mistakes (aka the modern lame-o's "git gud"). What they don't realize that watching one brother accidentally reload into the midst of a hard level that had already been completed while his other brothers write him off their wills made me laugh harder than I had laughed in months. Keep doing what you are doing, my two brothers and guest. I love you like a stoner loves their local weed dispenseree.

Them being so focused on strategy to not realize how much they're talking about shooting nut is amazing.

Someone else suggested this but Dark Souls (1 brother on movement, 1 on dodge and 1 on attack/items) would be great.

Not sure how much you already know about all this, but I'll try my best: So, they can quick save and quick load at the press of a button (well, two separate buttons), and that's under Griffin's control. They really struggled with that level, so he got in the habit of quick loading as soon as they died, just for speed of keeping the playthrough going. Then they beat the level! Great! ...except -- Griffin forgot to hit the quick save button after they finished. So as far as the emulator they're playing on is concerned, that's the save that exists -- them on that little platform just before the bee. So they start the boss, get killed, Griff's muscle memory kicks in, he hits the quick load -- but the save was back in the previous level. The fact that they beat the level -- meaningless. Didn't happen, as far as the current save is concerned. Hence the frustration on Trav and Justin's parts. It's entirely on Griffin. Not only is he the one that forgot to quick save, but also! If he'd just let the game go back to the map screen, they would've been fine -- could've just saved there and tried the boss again, or started the boss fight and THEN quick save. But his reload reflexes -- as understandable as they are -- are what really borked them in that moment. Then once they had to redo the end of that level again, they started doing what they've diligently avoided doing until now: save scumming, or quick saving at every single point of safety so they can reload after every single mistake. Which, honestly, is extremely understandable. Hope this helps!

i just want to call out the person named "eldritchzora" in the chat. they kept ranting about how they don't like rare and this game is trash no one responded to them because they were being a turd in the punch bowl, but I'm petty. Rare is a nearly 40 year old company that has made some of the most beloved games (like donkey kong country, banjo-kazooie, goldeneye, perfect dark, etc.) and just randomly trashing things people like is such a bummer of a way to interact with strangers.

I hope the next game you play is just a regular let’s play. These side scroller platformers fill me with so anxiety. I still watch because I love your stuff but oh boy my dudes I would love to see something else!

they should have titled this one "Now THATS What I Call Save Scumming"
