5:45 What a great point!. I was wondering how I was supposed to work these into my beats and fills while thinking about the timing and switching hands . That helps a ton. "learn em so you forget em"... that takes some of the heat off and makes a lot of sense

Know them and forget them 🎉 That's a good way to discribe something you just know naturally and applying it without even thinking.😎

The single flammed mill is such a syncopated sound especially when you played it FAST. Whew, both rudiments are a lot to digest in one lesson.

I think a cool video would be on a Swiss Army Triplet with a compare and contrast to a Tony Williams "Blusha".

Danny Carey doesnt use SAT in a Triad song. SAT contains grace-note which Triad beat doesnt have.

I don't know about Rosetta Stoned but I think he uses it in Triad (toms) and The Grudge (5/16 polyrhythm part)

my high school band teach laugh at me when I talked to him about having a pre note.. I was 14.. it just kind of made sense at the time to keep the tempo.

Pretty much the same sticking pattern played if you add a extra note to the LH ghost note played during a Bernard Purdie shuffle, well who knew!! :)

Flammed "Mill" - That's funny because it's basically a shift paradiddle (a diddlepara?!) starting with a Fla, an in French, we call paradiddle "Moulin", which literally translates to "Mill".

the faster you go, the less the spacing of the grace note ceases to matter. you wouldnt even be able to tell the difference if you listened, and indeed, if you slow the video down, even then you can't hear the seperation between the two notes. what remains to matter is the placement of the accent.

You said a drum roll is 2 strokes, all the sudden they are bounces? Go look I comment on that video. I say said try a Trippel roll with one stroke. Lets be clear the forearm and the wrist do 2 completely different things. If I want to hammer my kit... all arms. if I want to get tight all wrists.
