Drum Rudiment Series - Swiss Army Triplet - How To Play
Музыка
The swiss army triplet is a great rudiment tool to use for fills around the tom toms and also as a building block for drum solos. As long as you've practiced your triplet rolls, this one will come together quite quickly.

By far the simplest lesson I’ve seen. Why so many over complicate it is beyond me!
The best explanation and demonstration I have found. Thank you.
For my percussion class I have to be able to play all 40 rudiments by finals and this has helped a LOT
After god knows minute I finally got
Ooooooooohhh!!! Now I understand!! Very useful!! Thanks bunches!!
Very nice explanation, thanks!
this is a useful video!
The slow down helped me so much. Thanks
Thank you very much for clarifying!
I’m so confused when you have to play Swiss Army Triplet on 16th note triplet, any tips?
thank you!
Is it ok if I play flam L R and Then L R ?
As a beginner it would be nice to watch this lesson in reverse playback. So it would be easier than having to translate right and left. Or you could just show your video from the side and it would be easier than looking straight on to someone that's opposite... This is the same reason boats use port and starboard instead of left and right. If boats use left and right if the skipper was yelling to you at the front of the boat and he said right you would go to your right instead of his right. Lol sounds funny but it's the same problem

When I say translate I mean visually. Someone can tell you to use their right and when they pick up the right hand you'll match it with your left instinctively even though they've said right.

Your grace note on flams is a little high
I did not get it at all! I feel stupid, I'm trying to teach myself how to play drums....
Like if Swiss should be a advance skill
Your counting is wrong. That isn't 1 +a, 2 +a, 3 +a, 4 +a. It can't be, they are evenly spaced those notes, not including the flam. As you said, they are triplets so count them like that.
I'm pretty sure your playing triplets with flam, a Swiss triplet, is as you say. left left right or reversed, but With no flam.

Your comments make no sense to me. What are you saying?

A normal triplet is R L R or L R L. A flam accent/ “Triplet with a flam” is LR L R or RL R L. What he is playing is Swiss army triplets which have a check of R R L or L L R, and when you add the flam they go LR R L or RL L R. I hope this explains it.
Your downstrokes need work
pls work on your grip for your left hand
