I did get my Vevor- 3 ton jack in ! & it works so much faster than a manual jack ! Used it to rotate the tires on the 08 Cobalt S/C , & replaced the rear brake pads saved me allot of time ! The manual jack will just be used on 1 ton dump truck now . thanks again for doing this review .

Oh, I forgot.... we have a Honda CRV AWD. I see that this jack will have no problem lifting it. However, you mention to not lift "under" the vehicle. Is there a particular reason for that? My concern is that when I lift the CRV with this jack, if I put it on the side, I would have to put it where the jack supports are, as that's the lift/solid area. So then I couldn't get the jack stands to that spot. I won't just use this jack to change tires. Not without the jack stands for safety. So I wondered if it would be ok to move this jack to just to the under part where there's frame (near the wheels, I think) and lift there, just enough to put the jack stands under? I'd appreciate your opinion on that. Thanks in advance.

Great question. This jack will technically lift from any solid lifting point. I was just suggesting that it is much safer to lift from a point in which you are not required to be under the vehicle to position the jack. I always suggest working within the realistic limitations of the tool you are using. This is a relatively inexpensive tool, and as such, I would use it with caution. I can relate to your concern about the location of the jack stands. The way that I work around this is to use plastic car ramps under the tires. This allows you to use the balloon jack at the lifting point and safely supporting the vehicle without crawling under the car. As far as the safe lifting locations for your specific vehicle, I would refer to your owners manual. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching!

I was actually looking to buy that unit in 5 Ton version because I wanted to stand it up. I don't really like the version with the janky adjustable handle. I am curious if you can use that handle to pick it up like a Shovel to put it up on the runners of my 4-post lift and position under a body seam.

I don't see why not as long as the base you set it on is stable. It is remarkably stable/sturdy when it is pumped up.

Nice review ! Soon as I saw it working I said to myself out loud I want one ! & as You stated it's better than a hand jack , & it's light enough to store just about anywhere , & it still doesn't take up the floor space of a floor jack . That block & heads in the back ground look pretty clean ! Are those for the 67 ? & did You ever do a review on your scissors floor lift You got from Costco ? Could You please give me some info. on the brand , & do I need to go on line to get from them ? I never see it in there when I go in shopping , & I know they don't carry some items that long ! Take care , & happy belated New Year ! & thank You for the video.

Thank you so much! I appreciate the feedback. The engine parts are for my 64 that is in the background of the video. just waiting on funds to complete purchasing the rebuild parts. If you are referring to my QuickJacks...I got them from The Home Depot. They are the 5000SLX. I had to order them online and had them shipped to the store. I made a fun music vid with them but I haven't made a review vid about them yet. I will likely make one this spring when it warms up. Love them. Definitely worth the purchase! Thanks for the comment and for watching!

@@EndWrenchRookie I went ahead , & pulled the trigger on the air bag floor floor jack ! It should be here Monday , I bought it on E-bay thought it was a pretty good price for what it does ! I don't remember the video , But it is a lift to lift the whole car up ! & I do remember you saying you bought it at Costco , & I guess you would call it a scissors lift ? I'll check to see it's the 5000SLX that you mentioned ! Thanks again .

Thanks for this video! I already have this exact jack in my Amazon cart, just ready to order. But I wanted to see unboxing and demo first. Your vid did just that. Also, before your vid, I was concerned if my compressor could handle this. My max pressure from my small compressor is only 125 psi. You did this at 90 psi, so I think I'm good. As your vid is now over a year, may I ask if this jack has held up to use? Have you used it more than just a few times? I ask that, because I was considering either one of those 12V scissor jacks or the 12V hydraulic jacks that come in a plastic box as a kit. I steered clear of those because of too many bad reviews. Many say that their scissor jacks bend, or the screw warps or the motor fails. All within 4-7 uses! For the bladder types, I've seen some reviews that talk about having them for years without issue. So I really don't know. Therefore, someone like you who has a nice garage and this particular unit, I'd love to know how it is after a year. Thanks in advance.

Thank you for the questions and for watching. I have used my jack a few times with no problems. I am happy with it so far. I don't use it everyday, but if you take care of it, it should last. As far as your compressor goes...remember that it is not only the psi that matters. You also need volume (for sustained pressure). My compressor is 27 gallons, so it has plenty of volume. I am not sure how small of an air compressor you can use this tool with, but the less volume, the longer it will take to lift the vehicle. ie...if you have a 1 gallon compressor, you might not get the results you seek. Hope this helps.

@@EndWrenchRookieOh I'll just use an air mattress foot pump! What could possibly go wrong! ROFL hehehehe Sorry, I just couldn't resist. LOL I think this will work. I just checked the compressor that we have and it's - 8 Gal - 4.5 SCFM @ 40 PSI - 3.7 SCFM @ 90 PSI - 1.3 Running HP - 125 PSI Max (8 gallon) I think it will be fine. My only real concern is that I've had this for probably over 15 years. I don't know what the condition is inside the tank. So this week, I plan on doing a full maintenance on it and part of that will be to have a look inside the tank with my Borescope Inspection Camera to see how much rust is inside. If it, by some luck, still looks clean, then I might consider adding an extra tank or 2 that I have laying around to increase volume. If there's a lot of rust, then I plan on probably just buying a new one and maybe go to a 26 gal one that is on sale. While the tank is much bigger, the actual compressor's stats are pretty much the same as what I have here now. I'll find out tomorrow how this works. I received the air bag jack today and will assemble it tomorrow. I do have to change the tires on the car anyway.

That is a good point. Air bags do seem to have a lifetime. I don't really see it as a replacement to the hydraulic jacks but more as an alternative. I won't be losing my hyd either, but this one sure has been handy. Thanks for watching and commenting!
