This is freakin AWESOME! We just installed a winch on Mandingo from HF I went with a 2,500 LB. The Mrs. wanted to go in the 5k up range bc it looked so tiny. The HF versions aren't nicely and neatly packaged as this one. This came pre-wired and kept it simple. The HF one's you had to put together (electrical components) and I didn't feel comfortable with that. The 2,500 has been great so far the few times we have used it this year. I actually hooked up the winch to the batteries with in the truck so I don't have to worry about a charged battery at the drop of notice b/c picking is never planned. The winch I have is also blue tooth and controller. Since its BT, its always on LOOKING for a signal aka draining the batteries. I installed a breaker, when I'm not using the winch, I pop the breaker to stop the draw. Wish I would have seen this first, this looks so much manlier LMAO

Henry you better get you a set of longer ramps. Your truck is a LOT HIGHER than your van. The decks will drag if you don't change the angle. I Love your videos 📹 my friend!!!!

Henry you might want to make some type of metal shield bent in a 90ﾟangle to protect your tailgate from damage so the cable won't rub and cut a hole in it

For a 13K winch you should be using 3/8 or 1/2” plate for mounting and at least 1/4-3/8 for fairlead. If the winch flexes at all while pulling it will break the case.

Pretty cool Henry. That winch runs smoothly I like it. Nice controllers. And you can pull a semi tractor with that winch 😂. I have faith the F150 will take the punishment ok. Somehow I missed this video when you first published it?

A boat plastic battery box (Amazon... cheap!! ) would be a nice addition to keep the battery clean dry and in one place!! You got yourself one over winched Sketchy truck there!! Hahaha 👍 😆

Project Farm tested 8- 12,000 winches and none of them was able to reach their rated capacity. 2 completely failed while being tested. For what he wants to use it for it should be fine .

Henry you need to secure your battery for the Winchester at least a strap of some kind.

Get a small 15watt(1amp) solar panel or a flex solar panel . mount on back toprail. Never worry about battery again.. 700cca battery charges in 3 days of sunlight.. 700cca is about a 100ah in real power..
