Hey I sell mowers but people come to my sisters to pick up 😂 but now you are saying that I may go to a public place
If your sister likes strangers going to her house, then do whatever’s easy!
So I sold a lady a Craftsman 6.5 hp Briggs with the primer bulb. She told me she had issues starting it. She also “was too busy working to deal with me in person”. So I took her mower back home. Couldn’t find anything wrong with it but made a few adjustments anyway and took it back. She again said she had issues starting it. She pushed it aside and bought electric finding that in a tougher terrain yard with tree roots, leaves to mulch etc it didn’t have enough power. From what I heard she had her brother check it out. He found nothing wrong and took the mower agreeing to bring her back a gas mower with electric start. Apparently she didn’t have enough pulling power but also realized an electric mower won’t deliver what she needs.
Yup that’s sounds about accurate
@@MowersNBlowers she made it all about my workmanship. Has not since apologized for scolding me or thanking me for tuning up what is now her brother’s quality has mower. People!
@@SamSmallEngineShed you’re not going to please everyone you meet! And certainly not everyone in America is well mannered nor decent. I wouldn’t take it personally. Just walk away and move on to the next one.
Man those Briggs singles have a lot of problems. They don't make them like they used to.
Thanks for the expertise video of the brake adjustment.
Glad it was helpful! Hope you’re subscribed
Never seen a dayton let alone heard of them
Seeing it's has a Kohler engine in it sell it immediately pure junk of a motor. By the way you put the fuel filter on backwards.
First of all, I removed it from the old owners mistake of it being backwards. Second if you knew anything at all you’d know it’s a Kohler command, not a courage which is historically bulletproof that never blows! If you’re going to comment, try not to make statements that make you look inexperienced
Hi ! I watch your video all the time ! I know your not professional but you are able to do thing yourself ! I have a question ! I want to create a youtube channel for mini motor/small engine and you have inspired me so i want to know if if a moment i decide to create my channel if i have your autorisation to thanks you with one of your logo like thanks mower n blowers or anything like that i'm french but i will mention you and the time i will thanks you for inspired me so i want to know if i have your autorisation for that thanks my bro and continue like that do what you want not what people want of you and go reach the top of your project ! A big thanks from Lucas !
Bien sur mon frere! Merci!
Holy cow you have a ton of crabgrass and clover! I have the same problem because my neighbors don’t take care of their lawns. My whole lawn is white because I had to spray Tenacity to kill that stuff off.
Yup but as you know it’s momentary, it’ll all go away after the heat subsides.
I'd put the head gasket and new head on it, and if it cuts your yard send it on! Haven't seen where you've sold this one yet so either it didn't work or the right nut hasn't come along yet to buy it!
Given the money I want for it, no nut this time of year is gonna buy it but you never know.
Where I live there are about 70 battery powered mowers for sale, all super cheap, 25 to 50 dollars, only about 2 to 3 years old, but every one of them need a battery, and the batteries cost you $150 to $375 each, I knew that would happen, who wants a mower, that the batteries don't last, and cost a fortune to replace...... And most likely you won't be able to get a replacement battery after a few years.
Wow a second battery.
My yard i would be cutting grass every 4 days with that mower
Why hate Snappers? The new ones are junk, but from the 90s back they were some of the best; especially the old 70s models with the cast aluminum decks.
None of the dozen or so snappers I’ve ever had mowed well or were worth keeping. Also practically gave them away because no one wanted to buy them.
@@MowersNBlowers that is very surprising.
Different regions may have different preferences
Don’t charge them anywhere near your home.
Henry you going to go out of business, no more carburetors I believe we’re still light years away from dependable and cost efficient electric lawn equipment. Batteries are unpredictable today they charge tomorrow they’re dead. A 40 volt badger battery at Lowe’s is $140 warranties are a joke Lowes isn’t a distributor they’ll tell you to deal with badger they’ll honor the warranty you need to ship them to a distributor pay $45-75 for shipping and approximately 3-4 week wait. And who stocks parts or repairs this crap. Electric motors are very problematic when it comes to heat or condensation. You live In Suffolk LI many neighbors have pools #1 issues are always pump motors every neighborhood at one time had a electric motor repair shop I no longer can find one within 25 miles they all closed down so basically these lawnmowers will be like TV,s they malfunction you dump em So maybe you’ll get 2-4 yrs and buy another one. These companies are making a fortune on the consumer. Good luck man, stay safe.👍
You’re not wrong! But they’re convenient to use. So far a few review mowers have lasted at least 2 years with no signs of battery degradation. Fingers crossed!
Hey looks like nice mower, love the second battery 👍
It is!
That looks like one of the best electric mowers yet.
I'm gonna be one of those people........."first"
Yay!
The Vacuum is not sucking good
Given it’s size, it’s ok
Had the same thing occur with an older 14.5 hp Briggs OHV. No damage to head, but, when the exhaust valve snapped, it gouged the piston but did not crack or puncture the piston. Replaced the exhaust valve and put it back together. Its been running fine for like 8 years now! Go for it Henry.
Yeah buddy
I have a Kawasaki fx921v that had valve break off and get hammered between piston and head, I smoothed off the top of piston replaced head. Been using it for 2 years with no issues
Yeah buddy
Dude, your edits make me laugh like a school girl. Thanks for always inspiring me and makin' me giggle.
Glad you like them!
I don’t know how thick the top of a piston head is. If it’s thin i guess eventually a hole could develop and compression would be gone. But i would do what you did Henry and take a chance for now. Nice video!
👍
Good evening Henry
Little Vincent's pizza is so good.. I go the one in Lake Ronkonkoma
They have a buy one get one free coupon once in a while. 2 for $22! Best deal ever!
Ok, on my mower the solenoid is nearly impossible to get to, under the seat, inside of a metal box that's bolted to the chassis. The only way to get to it is to remove the battery, removed the two bolts holding the solenoid to the back wall of the chassis and then work it out through a very tight opening into the battery opening. So if I want to test this before I cut any wires, I could make a long jumper wire with female spade connectors on each end, disconnect the wire from the solenoid and plug one end of the jumper and then unplug the wire from the ignition S post and connect the other end of the jumper and that should make the necessary connection to bypass all of the safety switches? I removed my mower deck. You would not believe how many videos I've watched trying to figure out how to bypass all of the safety switches, but then again, maybe you would believe it. Thanks for a simple demonstration. By the way, my solenoid wire is orange out of the ignition switch and orange with a white stripe going into the solenoid. This is why I'd like to test it before I cut any wires.
You must have an MTD tractor, all theirs have their solenoids in the rear
Henry with that redneck, i thought your cousin Hank had come to visit you! Lol. 😂 I think that piston will be fine with the low rpm that those engines run and the cylinder wall looks good. 👍😎🇺🇸
try the piston, it's not a race car
You’ll see
You have got some skills. I would also go forward with the piston like that. Don’t suspect it will cause an issue.
True that brother
I suppose that divot in the piston could reduce compression a smidge, but lawn tractor engines have such low compression already, I can't see that it would make much difference. My only concern long term would be that gouge creating a vector for a crack to develop in the piston head, but hey, I'd roll those dice. 🙂
It may knock because of the damage but Henry has pretty good luck!! Keep going man!!
We shall see
I would change the piston, and the head gasket wonder what caused it to break a value?
The by the book Briggs technician working at a shop under strict rules would of course change the piston, but here at MNB, we do what we can get away with. If it works, it works.
My personal opinion. If you are going to sell that mower, you need to fix it properly or disclose the damage to prospective buyers. That piston will eventually crack and take the block out. Even if you disclose, these days most people are too ignorant to know even if you explain it to them. I have a Honda 216 I got with a bent crankshaft. I straightened it with a 3 lb hammer. It works perfectly. I won't sell it because I don't trust it so it's my personal mower. If it breaks on me, that's my problem. You do you, but if you sell it, I question your integrity.
@@dalestanley506 who said I had any integrity? Not looking to win any awards, also I’m not a retail store so no implied warrantees or guarantees. Garage sales as is no return policy is what it is. And yes I’d disclose a cylinder head swap.
Plus he ain't hiding anything posting this one on KZread!
@@nicholasbath7703 this presupposes that the buyer watches KZread videos. If he doesn't disclose the fault, it actually works against him because there is video evidence that he knew it had a bad piston and didn't disclose. He used to be a cop, he should know this.
Never seen a cylinder head do that before. I have a t2500 that was given to me i got i running again but need to get a new CVT belt for it
🥇
Yikes
Kohler command. Great engine
Henry , don’t throw metal in the trash ! Leave it for the scrappers!
Scrappers go through my trash
I went from 20+ tractors to just one and a few engines. It sucks I couldn’t start my own repair shop.. I tried but couldn’t bc my name is spelled wrong on my state id.. and I’ve already went through bs with a house my fam left me but. They treated me like I wasn’t related bc spelling = I can start a business and someone else with the same spelling can take it. Sucks man
So go to the DMV with your birth certificate and get it fixed. Don’t let a typo stop you from living
@@MowersNBlowers I did get it fixed. But it was after the city took me to court for “running a business “ I had to pay thousands in lawyer fees ect. They ticked my tractors then when I put them to street (bc they said I couldn’t legally sell my own property) their friends came and took my equipment almost 20,000 worth in machines and tractors. I could of used the tractors as inventory to get loan for biz.. they knew what I was trying to do. I’m surprised you didn’t get the visit saying. Pay the kickback or don’t run a biz . .. years of work down the drain bc ppl like to use their jobs and stingrays to run a monopoly
What trash
Back at ya!
Did this come with a throttle for pedal free use. Been looking at buying the same bike but the seller said a throttle attachment is a separate item.
Not true. Throttle is there. I use it it 95% of the time. Pedal or don’t pedal, throttle whenever you want. It comes complete.
Ok thnx. 😊
Bad gas cap?
No, good guess though
You don't put used parts in one an call it rebuilt put new stuff in it don't be a rookie
So what do you call rebuilding a blown engine to a working one?
Anyone can buy new parts! You’re missing the point.
@@MowersNBlowers put new parts in it once and be done then sell it you know it will not come back
@mikevessels8236 well buying parts is not part of the channels policy. Everything needs to be free.
I might dry that loading method Henry. I might try the Craigslist too. I have a JD GX345 for $1800. No bites yet on Facebook Marketplace. Keep up the Videos On Mowers and Blowers.
No harm in trying, and it’s free!
I'm interested in finding out what it was! As it was running good and then it wasn't and the sediment in the bowl, I'm wondering if junk got caught between the carb inlet and the needle and seat not causing the gas to flow into the bowl fast enough. The longer it sits, the longer it runs.
Yes, the debris accumulated in the new hipa carb
If this was the mower you sold for $425, wow! I have one of these red Kohler engines and I think the mounting bolts are smaller than the one on the LT160, but otherwise it should swap right on! Good that it had a voltage regulator and not the diode setup with it being that old.
Yeah casey, the is the one.
Scores! I love the song too. This is classic Mowers and Blowers.
Good job💪
Thanks 🔥
Those Kohler command engines have very good records for durability. The early ones had no oil filters. The later ones did. The fuel pumps are cheap on ebay and last a long time!! They were built having 13 to 17hp. I have several here!! Ya got a very good one and your right.....i never saw a red one, i have them on John Deeres in black !! Hahaha 😆
Good evening Henry
Still can't find your eBay store. You have an ebay item number I can look up?
