Veteran Working as Delivery Driver Surprised With Fundraiser
Heartbreaking footage of an older gentleman struggling to make a delivery captured the hearts of a community in Utah. When Jennifer Weiss saw the video of DoorDash delivery person Larry Robely having trouble with each step, she felt compelled to find him. Larry, who is a 63-year-old veteran and recently suffered a stroke, had to relearn to walk and took the job in order to pay for a repair his roof needed. Jennifer organized a community drive to raise money for Larry. #InsideEdition

If ur country has veterans that has to be delivery workers at such an age, you have problems and need to fix ur country
Elderly can’t afford to live . Social security isn’t enough
And yet people out here stealing/robbing people instead of working like this man. That's a nice lady
When she said "He got enough to fix his roof and retire", I couldn't see anymore. My smile was so big, my cheeks were covering my eyes!
He should never have to do this, He is a Veteran and we in this generation should always try to look out for our older generation.
Country has money for wars but can’t help the OG Vets.?? 🤦♂️ Sad but true
Watching this brought me to tears, as a veteran myself I see him as a brother, so thank you and may god bless you Jennifer.
He fought for this country an he still has to fight a 9 to 5 just to survive
"he had enough to fix his roof and retire" 💗💗
WHY is this poor elderly disabled vet doing working like this?! This country is INSANE
Somehow I can't picture this much integrity and hard work existing in the elderly generation 50 years from now. 😥
When you see someone like this struggling at his age through a stroke and still continues to do a good job and many able bodied people don't, it tells you something. I'm glad that the home owner was able to gather the community together to help him get his needs taken care of !!!
It's heartbreaking to watch a man who served this country trying to survive. But it's a testament to his work ethic, he deserves to be rewarded. Love this story.
This man deserves the world
This breaks my heart to see him struggling like that. Why don't we take care of our Veterans or elderly? It's a darn shame.
I'm so glad this was caught on tape and I am grateful to all the good men and women who chipped in to help Larry. Larry was working with no complaint. I am so moved. Thank you for sharing. Sincerely, Carly
Wish most people should have a caring heart like him instead of just throwing stuff at the door.
He’s got enough to fix his roof...and retire
Not a great story. No one that vulnerable and after serving their country should be in that position. Shame on you, USA.
This is a kind woman. Another might not have cared but she reached out to him
