You are wise not wanting to skip little things in the video. We are trying to learn how to fix our scooters which will make us want to buy parts and tools from you showing our appreciation for teaching us how to. If so called mechanics don't like you sharing your knowledge and great teaching skills, they should fast forward ahead on the video. There are too many want to be KZread channels that are bad teachers that assume viewers already know things.

@ Vespamotorsport When replacing a crank in the Vespa series motors, I've understood there are different versions? Like a type 1 or type 2. Before tearing into a motor and having everything all taken apart, is there any way to know what crank you need so you don't risk losing parts while you wait for the crank to arrive? I have a GTS 250 that needs a crank and I want to do the cleaning, tear down, and rebuild all over 1 weekend so as not to forget how it goes together and not to lose anything. What are the crankshaft options? Thanks!

question, I found a 2018 gas 300,,,, cheap guy blew the engine I think, said it needs a bottom end rebuild. after calling around most mechanics won't do a rebuild they wanna throw an new engine in and that would cost as much as just buying one,,,, is it worth a try to do a rebuild myself? im ex airfare guy, used to work on jet engines, but I know nothing about vespa engines,, but after watching your videos, if I used them as reference,, is this something I could possibly do? the thing looks brand new ,,,

Good day Vespa Motorsport, I have a GTS 300 i.e 2014 and need to replace the crankshaft but I'm in trouble because I don't know which category need to buy, if cat. 1 or cat. 2, in all stores says that either fits for my Vespa ZAPM45200. Can I buy anyone? Is there a difference between them? I will be so grateful if you could answer my question.

Looking at the engine spread out on the table, I was wondering just how much effort and cost could have been saved, by just changing to oil on the service intervals! Sadly, it seems to have been a costly mistake that could have been avoided. :(

I've done the throttle pump 3 times thing and I'm not sure if it does much tbh. Once it starts it's fine for the rest of the day and starts up instantly. I'm wondering if there is a nack to it.

My question is did you have low compression when you got it together? I have got 70psi I've done compression, leakdown, and the usual checks. Have not found a red flag with any of them.
