I wore out several of those Hammer impact screw extractors . The one you have is in relatively good condition, only showing a little mushrooming. I have a set of drill guides that do an excellent job of centering the drill on the stud when it is recessed like it is on that head. I have seen the set available from several different tool suppliers. I like left hand twist drills for broken bolts and studs. Most often the drill will catch it and back it out.

I have to do those studs on my GTS. It would be nice to know how do you partly remove the motor to be able to do it without taking the whole engine out.

Easy way to remove broken stud is to weld a nut and a washer to stud. Weld will not stick to the aluminum. Do it all the time.

What a load of faffing about!! I could drop the engine of my 150 Sprint in ten minutes using a socket, a pair of pliers, a broken fingernail and some industrial language! They call it progress?! 🤣🤣🤣🤣👍
