@@ethanweeter2732 I think he decided pretty early he was going to push lewis wide. Lol Mid corner he opens up the apex. It’s a max move, “I will get through or we will crash” move More power to him… but I think it was likely slightly over the line. If lewis in silverstone gets 5 sec then Max probably should have. Only difference is that lewis is willing to back out to avoid a crash. But hopefully we see the wheel to confirm.

@@ethanweeter2732 desperate move on the brakes, was never going to make the move stick cleanly, sadly the FIA is too inconsistent with their ruleings to say anything more about weather it should have been a penalty or how much of one. That seems to be decided by which team is having a "home race" and a how much backlash the FIA will receive for action taken rather than anything else, entertainment seems to trump sporting integrity, it is best decided by taking that out of their hands and getting it done on track, thankfully that happened, can you imagine the controversy if either Hamilton couldn't get passed max and an illegal defense won max the race or they penalised max and Hamilton sat right up Max's chuff at the chequered flag and won on a time penalty ? Considering those two possible outcomes the best thing happened today

To me this seems the clearest moment in F1 when you can see FIA favouring one team and driver. Very illegal move from Max. F1 fans are not blind.

@@tombardsley3081 he didn't say they were cheating, he started that Mercedes was being treated unfairly because RBR were able to change their wing on 3 separate occasions while being under parc ferme conditions due to reliability issues. He was trying to say Mercedes has a reliability issue. However it could never be a reliability issue since they never knew something was wrong. So the FIA wasn't having it, as they shouldn't have. Please quote ppl properly or else false propaganda spreads for no reason

Well the stewards have the habit to let max run people off the track without any penalty... In the other hand, Alonso did the same thing in Austin and had to give the position back. So inconsistent

Guessing Max's onboard camera footage will end up in the same place as the Ark of the Covenant. But don't worry I'm sure the FIA have "top men" working on it. 😆

I love how in Silverstone we had live 10 different cameras saying why Hamilton should be penalized and in Brasil the won't show as max onboard. When ever some push another driver of the track a +5s penalty was given 🤷🏾‍♂️ just saying

Looking back, this is why with Lewis it’s way more than ‘just the car.’ The guy is so cool under pressure. Max was starting to lose his nerve and resorted to desperate moves. Max was better overall until Brazil, Lewis won Brazil, Qatar and Saudi and was going to win Abu Dhabi. Max bottled it and got saved by Masi

Every team will work in best interests of their teams. You just saw the whole Alpine incident at Austin. If the positios were reversed, Mercedes would say the same.

I agree with your first sentence. However, Verstappen and every other F1 driver knows if he pushes another driver off the track thereby gaining an unfair advantage is a slam dunk penalty. To muddy the waters he went off track himself with Lewis so he doesn't gain a lasting unfair advantage which makes it harder for the stewards to investigate and penalize, and in this case, his gamble paid off. Just shows how much smarter F1 drivers are than us normal human beings lol.

@@schutzadful I thought it was pretty obvious from 44 onboard that 33 opened his steering wheel to the outside to force 44 off the track and go wide himself to avoid a clear penalty, and judging the speed 33 was entering the corner I really think he could've made the corner without going that wide off track. Just my opinion tho.

Max did what he could in a much slower car. Even several laps behind his RedBull, and theoretically with much more worn tires, Lewis still could get close enough and attempt to overtake with a huge straight line speed advantage. His pace advantage was so massive to the point that he was able to open a large gap with few laps to go. If RBR doesn't open its eyes and improve, Merc and Lewis will probably walk away with another WDC and Constructors.

From last place to first No one can do it except ham he did it twice 😍👍🏽

Its not motivation its just pure raw power of the latest mercedes engine. They used Bottas to test everything which was the reason he took so many grid penalties in the last races. If you actually watched the race Hamilton kept opening up the gap between Max and Bottas couldn't even push up to Max. It's obvious now Hamilton running the most powerfull engine on the grid alone.

Angle for him was not ideal while it was ideal for Hamilton while reaching the start of that corner. If you would have ever driven a car even at 125+ you would understand.

This isnt a battle its desperation.

Everyone wants to see that view of Max's cockpit. All I want to actually see is the "ALL THE ANGLES" video for Toto's reaction after Lewis took the lead. That is one epic reaction from the Totonator indeed.

So I can watch the entire Sao Paulo race from the front onboard view of 19 cars on the grid. But it just so happens that the only camera footage currently missing is Max's front onboard in corner 4 of lap 48 Interesting.

Kinda funny to see that Max still lost the race considering the lead over Hamilton from the start, as well as incorrect marshal calls from driving him off the track. Max should have either been forced to give up the position or given a penalty of at least 3 seconds.

Toto is just so competitive. I love those emotions showing. That's what keep this sport interesting.

The TV directors switched since Hamilton was closing on him from behind, that’s all there is. The FIA don’t control any of the on boards or the broadcast. It’s all done by FOM.

We are extremely fortunate as F1 fans to witness this season , this will go down as one of the best in F1 history

he was sure that would result in a collision so Lewis would get 0 Points werent it for Lewis not being the same unresponsible crash pilot like Max, but FIA wants Max to win championship so says it was ok for Max to push other driver from track and causing a colition. If there was a colision FIA would of course punish Hamilton.

your never going to see it, T-cam has 2 cameras front and rear only one is recording at any time and it was on the rear facing camera so only that view for that turn.its been a problem for years and will happen again unless they make it a rule to always have a front t-cam recording at all times.

Just saying, not even trying to make the corner to force another driver off track is not racing. Would've said the same thing no matter who it would've been, no cockpit cam was needed to see that Max never tried to make that corner. Opened it up midway through, steered and opened up again just straight out off track. Clearly a penalty for me and cruicial points in the championship that wasn't deserved.

I'm all for racing hard but once Max left the race track he should have been told to give the place up because he gained an advantage by leaving the race track. Pushing Lewis off the track by maintaining the racing line is one thing but pushing Lewis off and exceeding track limits is completely wrong. You know that if Max had stayed on the track but Lewis had exceeded track limits whilst making the pass he would have been told to give the place back.

@@rellaes4488 Because when it happen with Lewis max was in front of Lewis and Lewis could clearly see max's rear tire slowly coming closer to his front wheel and did nothing, in fact he deliberately deviated from the ideal racing (even though that would have been faster for him!), keeping his steering wheel straight, thereby crashing into max, knowing full well what would happen. Here Lewis is again behind max but now its max on the inside, and max steers late (a perfectly valid defence maneuver with someone behind you and on the outside) And as can be seen on the onboard headlights has his steering wheel at 90 degrees throughout the whole corner, only opening up well after the apex to find some grip, when Lewis is already well behind him. At no point did max see Lewis in front of him and then decide to drive into him.

@@TheCountess666 The problem in Silverstone was Lewis carrying too much speed into the corner, not him opening the steering, buy the time they were in the corner Lewis wouldn't have been able to pull the car away from contact even if he wanted to. Here Max literally ran himself off the track to push Lewis off the track. I'm not even complaining it was entertaining.

So, using youtube's video speed feature, I watched it as slow as it could and here is what I saw. At around 29-30 seconds you can see where max's car is pointed more towards the apex of the corner, then between 30-31 seconds max clearly opened up the steering wheel and pointed towards Hamilton. Whats interesting is that his steering wheel never turned again until Hamilton was run right off the track. I agree with the commentator here.

at silverstone also almost similar thing happened..but the difference is hamilton smart enough to steer away avoiding accident, but in silverstone max complaining he was squeezed and hit hamilton..

@@aircommandslipperz Maybe, if they hadn't made contact at Silverstone, disrupting Hamilton's traction, I think Hamilton would stayed on his line/apex, and possibly left Verstappen some space. They need their own league (or sprint race) so that we can watch the others race. ;) Had this incident been during the last 2-3 laps with no consequence there could have been rioting. LOL

We all know max has a history of crashing into his opponents, like he did with vettle and raikonnen.

This win reminds me of some of those special wins he had with McLaren. Lewis looks more impressive when he’s in fighting up. We don’t get to appreciate his talent when he’s cruising at the front.

Watching that incident live on tv then watching the replays from different angles on KZread, it's so clear MV drove LH off the track. How that is not a penalty, is unbelievable. FIA stewards need to show cause. It appears they will do everything to ensure MV keeps winning.

FIA is ridiculously inconsistent with penalties. If Lewis hadn't yielded, it would've been Silverstone all over again. Not saying that this should be a penalty, but they should be at least consistent of what counts as a fair racing and what is diving in too late and understeering into your opponent

New Engine and DRS were world class. The top speed advantage was ridiculous.

I’m far from a Lewis Hamilton fan (Go Charles Leclerc!), but Lewis Hamilton made that a five-star race weekend from start to finish. His ascendency was patently obviously, and it was absolutely thrilling to watch him fight it out the whole time. If the rest of the season looks this exciting, I don’t care who wins, they will have earned it.

Max clearly ran Lewis off the track. So focused was he on blocking Lewis he himself ran off the track, way off.

You don’t understand too much. Bottas can’t run Max off the track, the same way Perez can’t run Lewis off track. If teams start using their second driver to crash into the teams first driver, it’s gonna be chaos. Both Max and Lewis know this when overtaking.

If rolls had been reversed, Lewis would definitely had a penalty !

Apples and oranges. That incident involved a car overtaking another car while outside of the track. In this corner, Lewis very very briefly had his nose in front at one point but then fell behind Max. And then they both went wide. Max didn't gain a position off the track.

Horner: it's all about let them race Reality: it's all about forcing another driver off track and gaining an advantage

And it’s for actions like this, for swerving from side to side when you’re only meant to have one change of direction, for the “say hi” to the race director comment and for walking away without checking on a fellow racer when your car is on top of them that show Verstappen isn’t ready to be world champion. Don’t get me wrong he can definitely drive and when he races fair he is a great racer but the boy needs to grow up! One day he’ll be worthy but not just yet.
