The thing is, if Verity's account was true, it doesn't make sense. Her pretending to be incapacitated instead of TELLING HER HUSBAND ABOUT A WRITING EXERCISE is insane. Even if she was scared to be perceived as coherent at first, there's no way she would keep up the charade for that long. She's also a sucky mom for purposely foregoing spending time with her ONLY LIVING CHILD, independent of how the others passed. So I'm in the camp that Verity most certainly committed those heinous acts and got exactly what she deserved

I think the author leaves you feeling exactly how Lowen feels. Confused, left with this terrible feeling that her soon to be husband is a killer and now she is part of this twisted life. This is also how Verity wanted her to feel, I think Verity was crazy.

I agree!!

Interesting thing that she only wrote the letter, on the day that he and Low, were together. If it was easy for him to kill her on the day that it did, imagine before Low, was on the house, doesn´t make any sense that the letter was real, she just tried to get him agaim. But i didn´t like the murder, because doing that, for me they are like Verity, that it´s not Karma for me.

Was there specific a reason why Jeremy chose Lowen to be the new author? I don't remember if there was. Or was it actually just because Lowen and Verity had the same writing style? And I guess Jeremy really wanted the series to be done for his own monetary gain 🤔

Some scenes truly got me puking fr and like I loved the plot and the manuscript and letter thing, by the way I'm on the manuscript side and I didn't like the bonus epilogue because how can you change a perspective of a character so fast and make someone else the villain when they weren't Sure Jeremy's way of handling was wrong but Verity!?...she's a fcking bitch like she was obsessed with having s*x with Jeremy but he loved her truly and Jeremy must've have seen her fakeness with the kids that's why he suspected her plus no mother no matter whatever that "antagonistic journaling" and whatever it is, no mother can write about her kids like that and that too after the death of her child (Harper)...and her letter was only there to make Jeremy feel wronged and that she was the victim because Verity was jealous from Lowen and she wanted to twist every truth and make herself look like the victim but what about the SCAR ON CHASTIN'S FACE!?...That proves how jealous verity was from her own girls and also why would she even take crew with her when she knew Jeremy loved the kids...Jeremy was never a threat to the kids never ever...he wasn't even a threat to verity even he did care for her when she pretended to have injuries...and in the bonus chapter the author made him villain which is very wrong and I think that's why I loved first book but the second one...no that ruined everything...Second epilogue was intentional and nothing related to first one about the manuscript and letter but I believe Verity was crazy in her head and was obsessed with Jeremy. Jeremy truly loved verity from his whole heart but certain things in the letter of verity doesn't make sense , maybe she sensed that she has got caught so she wrote the letter to victimise herself but no I didn't like verity she's not right in the head what do you think goes on in the person's head who write things like that about her kids and name it as an EXERCISE!? because that's creepy af

He didn’t know that she was faking it. He only tried to kill her and thought she went into a vegetative state but verity was scared of Jeremy and at the same time she wanted to stay close to her only child left alive, crew. So she decided to fake being paralysed

Jeremy read her manuscript (where she "wrote through the eyes of a villain") where she talked about killing her daughter, so then Jeremy tried to kill Verity by driving her into a tree while bound, but she survived it. When she woke up in the hospital, she made the quick decision to fake the vegetable state so that Jeremy wouldn't try to kill her again. Her plan was to fake it until she could get her bearings, and then run away with Crew/their son.
