Thank you a lot for this video. The socket trick is very clever! I got it worked now. Almost send it back.

On the current version the pieces that you can adjust for spool width are now square instead of round with a flat spot.

Well I just got a head lift adapter to the already existing stand I had by them it was packaged well. It’s been redesigned and looks more sturdy. The only problem I had was my tac welds for the caps at the end of the stands tube, if that makes sense, gets in the way of it swinging the triple tree section I had to force it and kinda break those tac welds down. Haven’t tried it on my bike but before the triple tree adapter which I bought separately to accomplish removing the forks. The stands are well worth their money. I’ve been using them on my 06 CBR1000RR without an issue no wobble just make sure you tighten all hardware with a damn impact so it ain’t lose. 😂

wish u woulda made this vid sooner. Ive got the same stands & plenty of sockets. I ordered the stands w the big head pin kit buy they sent me the small kit. By the time i got around to using the ttriple tree stand & realized they sent wrong wrong size, i was past return date & they were outta stock on correct pins kit. had to order new set of just pins for like $30, FYI for any1 reading ocmments, Z900 needs 27mm pin. Btw, projector kits have finally come down in price. $250ish now seems well worth the upgrade. I spent $100 on Top Hikaris & then another $60 on fog lights when they didnt do nearly enough in the reflector housing. Been wanting Projectors since I saw ur comparison/ upgrade vid. Keep up TGW✌

The Z900 has unequal length fork tubes below the axle if you look below the pinch bolt on the right and compare to the left, think there’s a 10mm difference. Woodcraft has a adjustable

best to lift it from the flat part just behind the forks, bottom part of the brake caliper mounting, or just get the front stand extension to lift it from the bottom of triple tree and never worry again

  • @JPTulo

Are you still using this front stand? It looks like you’re having the same issue I am in that the pin isn’t really doing much as far as lifting. If you watch your video when you start to lift, all the weight is on the front of the tube that has the pin on it. I had to stack like 10 27mm washers on top of the 27mm pin to get it so the tube wasn’t digging into my triple tree. It will work without raising the pin, but it just doesn’t seem right with the lifting point being the end of the tube like that. Does that make sense? Thanks again for the great content.

How?? i have these but i tried to put my bike up for the rear and it be loose. I tightened it so many time and it doesn’t even go up or it would tip over because the bike is heavy and the bolt or the holder would twist if i tried to it do. I never dropped the bike but i was scared to do it again lol Ima try again soon when season come. I was going to throw it away and buy new ones but idk yet

I have the basic version of this stand, it's very touchy, I wouldn't recommend it, even worse if you leave those springs in you're very likely to bend the ABS / traction control sensor disc, not fun, def get the triple tree stand type, anybody that reads this, the rear venom stand is fine in fact if you're not able to order the correct spools the first time just swap them for your cargo net spools next to the seat those are the exact perfect size 😎

@@emmanuelramos4772 yea the rear is fine, its adjustable for any bike, use your seat cargo hook bolts or order some spools, make sure u leave a little gap on each side or it can scratch the paint when u lift it

Hey Simon, do you still have those awful original equipment tires? What pressure do you set? I hated them on my Z900 and got rid of them real quick. Atm I have Pirellli Rosso III and they are fantastic, I recommend them. Which brand have you chosen for the next, I can't see ;) About front side issue is because of fork is not symmetrical and the best stand for z900 would be that with steering head attachment.

I was looking at the Rosso III but got a great deal on the Battlaxe S22. I can now feel the difference between the stock and new tires way more confidence. Also setting up my suspension has also made a huge difference in my confidence and feel. Right now I run 36psi front and rear. Thanks for watching Luca and don't forget to subscribe.

@@SimpleSimon To make the Dunlop a bit sticky I used to run 35psi front and 32psi. I also would like to set my suspension to make the front more confidence even though I can't complain about Rosso's job now. I saw all your videos before and after i bought my own z900 and will keep doing it mate, your contents are really inspirational.

On the front I have the same issues on my ninja 650 with these stands on the front left fork there’s a bolt that gets in the way , gotta drill some holes into the stand and run a bolt with a cotter pin to lock it in so they don’t move that’s what I did

I think these stands from Venom kinda stink. The head lift one def does. The rear from venom, eh, its fine; they're all largely the same at that price. But the head lift, oooh wee. Its kinda unforgivable. I shouldn't be able to bend it out of shape with my weak, arthritic hands. It shouldn't come with a bunch of pins for nobody's bike, and no pins for everybody's bike. Who tf is needing a 10mm pin these days? And the welds. Jesus Teenage Christ in a widebody Ford, the welds... That said, for $75... what are ya gonna do? Good video. Earned the thumbs up like a mf with that socket bit.
