Duration: 15 minutes for preparation + 25 minutes for baking at 350 °F on the middle rack
مدة التجهيز ١٥ دقبقة + مدة خبزها بالفرن ٢٥ دقيقة على درجة حرارة ٣٥٠ فهرنهيت على الرف الوسط
Portions: 24 pieces
تساوي ٢٤ قطعة صفوف
A. Ingredients /المقادير:
- 3 cups all-purpose flour (sifted) / ثلاث اكواب طحين منخول لجميع الاستعمالات
- 3/4 cup vegetable oil / ثلاث ارباع الكوب زيت نباتي
- 1 1/2 cups water / كوب ونصف ماء
- 1 cup carob molasses (or any available molasses) / كوب دبس الخروب او (اي دبس متوفر)
- 2 tbsp baking powder / ملعقتين طعام بيكن بودر
- 1 1/2 tbsp anise powder / ملعقة طعام ونصف يانسون مطحون
- 2 tbsp white sesame seeds (not toasted) / ملعقتين طعام سمسم ابيض غير محمص
- 1 1/2 tbps tahini (to coat baking dish) / ملعقة طعام ونصف طحينة لدهن الصينية
B. Utensils / لوازم الاستعمال:
- rectangular baking dish (23 cm x 33 cm) / حجم الصينية المستطيلة ٢٣ سنتمتر×٣٣ سنتمتر

    I made these, I cut the recipe in half and oh my goodness, they were very light and delicious!!!! I had tasted these before in Lebanon, they were very dense and heavy to digest. LOVE LOVE your recipes :)
