My goal at THEE BURGER DUDE is to show vegans and non-vegans alike how easy it is to make delicious and decadent vegan meals. I used to eat a lot of meat and dairy before going vegan, so this channel is aimed at people like myself before going vegan. Additionally, I totally welcome any vegans who might be missing one of their favorite fast food or comfort food meals as well, come on in! I want to show that you can still have burgers, mac n' cheese, fried chick’n and any other kind of comfort food, and that it’s possible with plant-based ingredients.
If you’re new to veganism and don’t know where to start, or if you’re totally new to cooking, or new to both, then I hope you find something on this site that piques your interest and are inspired to cook! And if you have any questions please contact me!

This was so delicious that my grandson, after eating some, said and this is vegan? My son, whose plant based said that this was the best vegan meal that he’s ever tasted! This looks incredible. Your channel and format are the most engaging, fascinating, and APPROACHABLE vegan channel I've found. I'm following a keto lifestyle for weight loss, but in the future, I've really been thinking about going vegan. This is the best evangelism I've experienced for veganism. It isn't preachy or veganer than thou, you just plop down this incredible food that doesn't sacrifice flavor. I'm such a fan.

The Butler soy curls have been a huge part of everyday cooking in our house. I'm the only vegan but the wife and kids eat mostly plant based. After buying small bags consistently I finally bought a 12 lb bag from amazon for just over $100. Seemed pricey at first but it's been paying off. one pound of dry curls made an entire 12" round x 3" deep skillet of "meat". it lasted this family of 6 for 3 meals. Tacos, nachos and burritos.

6:38 That's exactly what you can never get from soy chunks/pieces you can get in Europe. I wonder if we can take soy curls and do the same "fluff up" thing like they do for original beef n broccoli for non vegans? To "fluff" the protein some use baking soda so that it soaks up more sauce and it makes the protein very porous. Have you or anyone else tried this as an option to see if it works in different aspects?

TFS…question why didn’t you just use the marinade to rehydrate and cook soy curls in? Seems like a step you could eliminate and they would be less moist? 🤔

I've tried it in the past and I found that they had a weird aftertaste, but I've heard that other people have done it and liked it, so if you want to try it go for it!

I like them with a firm bite sometimes too! Just use less liquid, let them soak up and steam with a lid on for 15 minutes or longer after cooking. They'll soak all the way through, but maintain a firmer texture.
