I’m not even a vegan but I learn a ton about burgers from you. Great content. Keep it up.
My husband enlightened me that the cheese being "upside down" makes a huge difference! You still melt the cheese on the meat, but when assembling, you basically flip the patty so the cheese is on the bottom bun.
Wow! This had to be a lot of work. Thank you Burger Dude. I’m so ready for your book to ship. I need fast food recipes under my belt so I don’t have to eat out so much 😂
A lot of times, I'll put some vegan butter on the buns and some Kinders The Blend seasoning on them and toast them in the air fryer so they get to be like garlic bread buns. Really tasty!

I'm so happy you critiqued their video! IMO their burgers were terribly constructed and I felt like their conclusion was void because of it. Glad to see a redo!
Fantastic Video I never would have thought putting the toppings in a different order would matter Next time I make burgers I will change the order I've been doing them for the past 20 years
Looks really good! This style of video is really nice and a step up from a recipe, even though I enjoy those too, keep it up!

This is definitely my new favorite channel. Keep up the awesome work. Showing the world there is no reason not to go vegan. 👍🌱
Can I just say how polite you are addressing the criticism in your other video. Like instead of ranting you just made a video instead, like I would've just pop off HAHAHAHA 😌😂
I whole heartedly believe that whole food plant based in its most natural form is best, but everyone that’s transitioning to plant based I think Thee Burger Dude is the GOAT 🐐. I’ve referred so many people to absolute success and appreciation. A lot of people I know are enjoying not participating in animal cruelty and still not compromising delicious food in the process. As a New Yorker, which many consider to be the culinary Mecca, I love this guys stuff. 👊🏽 🦇

Honestly, I eat way more WFPB than I did before going vegan. I love eating that way as well as this. I think having a good mix is ideal for me, but everyone should eat the way they see fit! Thank you!

This was an absolute joy to watch, and I appreciate you putting it to the test!
I agree with you about the cheap Kroger restaurant style hamburger pickles. That’s all I’ll buy for burgers. They are cut much thinner, form to the other ingredients, and do not over power everything else.
Love ❤️ your content in this upside down world 🙃 your vids bring great escape and foodie entertainment 👍🏾🙋🏾♀️ Thank you💜
I am never disappointed in your videos and I learn something each time. Thank you, Dude!😃 And I can't wait to get your recipe book. 🍔🌮🌯
I have always put my burgers together with a few things in mind. First off, I dislike things sliding out of the burger as I eat it. So I tend to slice my tomatoes thin for that reason. My preference is shredded lettuce, but I shred mine super fine, like angel hair. I do like a slice of melted plant-based cheeze on my burgers, but not more than one slice. One way I've come to enjoy burgers lately is just with plain white bread, toasted. Like a Big Mac, I sort of layer things out. I find the square packets of Impossible meat cut into 4 perfect rectangle sized burgers. I just take a plate and flatten them out in plastic wrap to the exact size of my bread. I remove the crusts from the center slice of bread. I find everything works better with square burgers. Even the cheeze slices are square. Perhaps you could do a square burger video?
Daughter and I talked it over. She wants to do each one. Today we are doing famous star burger 👍🏽

A trick I employ is making a kind of salad for the burger. I like to make it out of chopped dill pickle, lettuce, mayo, and ketchup. The sauces help to work as a binder, so you don’t have a layer of toppings that slide away from each other. It just keeps things cleaner.

Based on everything in this video it seems the whopper is my favorite style of burger. A balance of flavors, etc. and no falling apart or a soggy bun.
I always like these style vids because this is how my brain works trying to always find the right fit it combination with everything.
Weird to see a burger with melted cheeze flipped upsidedown such that the outlaying cheeze triangles are facing upwards.
I hadn't given the order much thought to be honest, but now I will. Love the experiment, thanks for the info!
Great stuff. Very underrated channel channel. This video got me hungry for some burgers! Preordered 3 copies of your cookbook. Very much looking forward to it
i realize this is not entirely traditional, but next time you're making a burger try seasoning the tomato with MSG and Gochugaru instead of Salt and Pepper. it's killer!
You’re like a real life Bob
I love that you did this video. I used to explain to my friends that flavor delivery is different based on the on stacking. Id tell to eat the burger upside down, and you will have a different experience.
Thank you for summarizing at the end. And for all the hard work that went into this video! I cannot imagine how many burgers you consumed. Then again, that is your nickname… 🍔 🍔 🍔

Toppings versus bottomings 😆 love your tips 👌🏽
It's amazing how chopping things differently changes the taste. Lately I've been making my burgers McDonald's style, so finely diced onion, pickles, ketchup & mustard. They've been sooo good. Also been known to put grilled pineapple, teriyaki & avocado on a burger 😋😋 yeah now I know what I'm making for dinner tomorrow!
I need to stop watching these before bed. Every single one of these look delicious.
This is what I am talking about. I love this dedication to burger nerdery.
Great video 🤤 👍🏾
Superb vid, TBD. I’ll take one of each. BTW, I think we need to get you making your own pickles! BEST ever. 😎
I mean, to be fair, the krabby patty does look pretty visually appealing 🤷🏻♀️😂
Try mixing ketchup with diced onions and pickles. Mixing mayo with mustard. Assemble with ketchup mixture on bottom bun first, then shredded lettuce, then tomato (if desired), then meat/cheese (upside down), and finally top bun mayo/mustard sauce.
The whopper with the toppings on top! 👍🏼 The toppings underneath make the bottom bun soggy and the top bun thick & dry 🤪
It blows my mind how little attention I have paid to the order of ingredients in the literal hundreds of burgers I have eaten in my life. MY EYES ARE OPENED TO THE POSSIBILITIES.
Great video! Cheeseburgers are pretty darn good!
I’m glad this channel exists and that I found it.
When it comes to burger construction, I usually put Dijon mustard and Heinz 57 on the bottom (when I make them at home, mustard and ketchup when I'm not at home), and these are the only things I put on the bottom, since I don't want them on the cheese. Then it's the patty itself, American cheese, bacon and lettuce (if I liked pickles, tomatoes and onions, they would go on the lettuce), with ranch dressing spread on the top bun.
The way I do it is burger w/melted cheese (sometimes two slices if I'm feeling chaotic), pickles, lettuce, tomato, french fries, and then a *lot* of burger sauce (or even just vegenaise). Another killer video my dude ^^ Edit: I forgot the pickles!
I think top buns naturally bag loose toppings in comparison to bottom ones which just immediately become flattened resulting in sliding, there's a lot of curvature which can spread out on the top ones and
I posted this on the Food Theorists video... Try this sometime... Start by chopping all the vegetables. This way, you get all the flavors in every bite, without having to chase a ring of onion around, or suffer a whole slice of tomato or pickle sliding out with a bite. Next stack your savories (mustard, pickle and onion) and salads (mayo, lettuce and tomato) together when stacking. As far as the stacking goes, savories on the bottom bun, then the meat and cheese, topped with the salads under the top bun. This is also a very sturdy burger, due to the chopped veggies. Wanna take it up another notch? Try melting Velveeta on the patties. That's right, I said it. VELVEETA! Don't knock it till you've tried it. Just don't tell your friends until after they've tasted it. They'll love this burger! 😃
burger in the middle. I worked at a&w so i make mine the same as them, ketchup, mustard, onions and pickles on bottom Mayo, mustard, lettuce and tomato on top then u put burger with melted cheese in the middle, best order to me, oh and toasted buns😂
BRO my mums gonna be so happy when I show her this channel
I couldn't tell tell that the meat was vegan. I thought they were just some frozen patties of some sort. I'm not vegan myself but those burgers look really good
I never really thought about the order I put my condiments on my vegan burgers, but I will now 😄 Also, it must have mustard on it or it's not a burger 😋
Videos like these show just how far vegan food has come! Def gonna try some of these next time hehe 😼
Thank you so much
Top notch channel !
Bottom bun, mayo, pickles, patty, cheese, thinly sliced onion, ketchup, top bun.
I appriate your viedios so much dude I will defenitly buy your cook book,it sounds amazing. And i cant wait to cook my vegan coworker some food ^^.
I eat beef but I do enjoy watching these videos!
It is a bit late for your book but you should check out Himalayan ketchup. It’s a sauce best made yourself, exact ratio of ingredients is chiefs choice plus or minus a few spices. I used a slightly altered version of what binging with babish has listed and everyone that tasted it seems to think it might be the best burger sauce ever invented. Ingredients might be a bit expensive for mass market, I don’t understand any other reason it isn’t a staple sauce for every burger franchise. If you haven’t tried it. Please do. Also thank you for your content. When I was a child and first came to North America I ate an American burger with a knife and fork. I was a young English boy and didn’t know what to do with something I couldn’t fit in my mouth.
the fatburguer looks insaneeee
Ok now I have If I could turn back time in my head 🎵
Okay, so I start with margarine spread on my burger bun, then burger sauce, on both sides of the bun, iceberg lettuce, sliced cucumber and tomato, a slice of cheese, burger patty, another slice of cheese (which I melt on the patty for thirty seconds in the microwave) any other toppings? I usually have on the side, such as beetroot and red onion (raw) Thanks for the video.
I put cold cheese on a burger yesterday because I forgot to melt it. I think I like it better. I could taste nose cheese flavor.
My first job was at Del Taco, many many many moons ago. (I'm 60). The Del Sauce they had at the time was Mayo and Buttermilk. I was obsessed with it. I use to dip my fries in it. I now live in Texas, so I'm not sure if it is still the same sauce from years ago.

I've seen recipes that are that plus lime, when I used to get it I thought it was slightly pink? So I add a little hot sauce to mine when I make it.
Incredible! I'm reconsidering everything I thought about "toppings" and where they belong! Except unmelted cheeze on lettuce. Not that.
Can you make a “how to season Burger ground” video? I season my impossible ground with a mix of Annie’s Worcestershire sauce, yellow mustard, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, couple punches of salt. The burgers end up with more char and give as long as you don’t add too much of the sauces when mixing. Mixing must be done cold too. But end result is fantastic and a welcome departure from the standard impossible flavor. Also impossible burgers over a fire are well.. 🔥! But uneccassary to season in the way described above imo.

I dont think I've heard anyone say it before.... So it's like Frogger?
Didn't see a variation that starts with sauce on the bun, then tomato first. The tomato on the bun adds a delicious moistness and flavour to the bite, much like the Southern France deliciousness of a sandwich, Le Pain Bagnat.
“Shredduce.” 😂
I do it like this: Top bun (toasted with butter) Sauce (basically thousand island dressing) Onions (Caramelised) Bacon Cheese Patty (smashed) Salad Tomato (I don’t put tomatoes on my burger usually) Sauce Bottom bun
Toppings top the bottom bun. Always topping
how do you top your bottom whoppers?
I make Impossible Whoppers all the time. Slowly working my way up to being plant based and the burgers were a good place to start. The one of the things I love about the Impossible Burger meat, aside from the taste obviously, is that THEY DON'T SHRINK WHEN THEY COOK. Whatever size burger you make is the size burger you get when you pull it out of the pan! I can finally source burger buns that fit my food! I got a Hamilton Beach Sandwich Maker I bought from Goodwill that was DOA. Chucked the device, but kept the ring forms that were in the middle of it lol. They are nonstick, 4 inches across, and make perfect 4 ounce Whopper patties that I can just cook up in 4 minutes and slap on a bun with all my fixings.

yes that's another benefit, they don't change shape when you cook 'em!!
just throwing it out there about the In-n-Out burger being very soggy... until recently, i would still go to In-n-Out to get a grilled cheese sandwich and even those were soggy so you had no choice but to use either the wrap or like i did, dump the fries out and use the boat to catch the liquid with. it's the lettuce, tomato and pickles combined with the spread that makes a superlicious mess, thx TB Dude. i really need to start making these at home and keep my lactose suffering to a minimum xD * * just waiting on that new burger cookbook to arrive = )
non vegan here. love the vids especially the way you shoot these. keep em coming.
I tried the Krabby Patty version (also vegan) and in my opinion it was really delicious.
Glad to find another angry whopper fan. Everyone around me does not trust me that the angry whopper is good because it's from Burger King.
You should try one with mayo lettuce n tomato on the bottom bun and pickles and onions with ketchup n mustard on the top bun… my way
Thee burger god has spoken!
Just discovered this channel. I feel like you're somewhere between Food Theory, Sauce Stache, and Adam Ragusea in your style.
I wish you opened a restaurant near us, serving all your yummy stuff...
What is the difference between powder eggs and regular eggs
try the crabby patty but with melted cheese, see if that changes anything
Not sure about the cheese on the bottom but it wouldn't be a game breaker the topping should be just that on top of the beef patty
